Efficient, Real-Time Threat Intelligence with Seamless Integration: A Powerful Security Platform
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Recorded Future is its ability to deliver real-time threat intelligence from a vast range of sources, helping reduce time spent on manual research. Its seamless integration with SIEMs and other security tools makes threat monitoring more efficient, and the automated risk scoring helps prioritize threats effectively. Overall, it’s a powerful and user-friendly platform for proactive security.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike about Recorded Future is the lack of direct integration with QRadar SIEM and the unavailability of Collective Insight. These features are crucial for enhancing threat visibility and collaboration within my organization's security ecosystem. Having these integrations would make the platform even more effective and seamless for my needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The QRadar SIEM and the unavailability of Collective Insight.

Cyber threat intel with Recorded future with my organization
What do you like best about the product?
As a cyber threat intelligence analyst, I find the risk rules for each vulnerability incredibly helpful in assessing criticality. I appreciate how rapidly I can research vulnerabilities and determine their relevance to my company. The sandboxing feature is great for safely exploring the dark web to find information from ransomware groups or other threat actors. There have been several instances where I’ve checked ransomware extortion pages to verify if leaked company data is legit. Customer support is extreamly friendly and we will be having frequent connect with respective POC. We are currently using IOC enrichment API to our XSIAM for effective usage which we are using it in daily baisis.
What do you dislike about the product?
Advanced Search should be easier to use and naviagate.
Sometime the volume of alerts can be overwhelming, tuning the tool takes time.
Also pricing is quite expensive, I feel. I would have to agree that there are lot of good than bad. With its few flaws also I would always prefer RF over most of the Tools available.

Allows for immediate review of emerging intelligence and notifications. It helps in vulnerability research, threat trend analysis, and offering leaked data from darkweb. It helps quickly determine the relevance and criticality of vulnerabilities, understand the broader context of threat campaigns. So What I felt is RF is not trying to spoon fed, in terms of giving alerts where you wouldn't have to anything, but rather its giving everything, all capabilities, where you can surf through the information to identify what is relevant for you.
Recorded Future is the best threat intelligence platform currently on the market
What do you like best about the product?
Recorded Future helps our team use its stretched resources to the maximum capacity. How much AI is implemented into the platform has drastically changed my perspective of using the platform. The AI function of the tool has allowed me to save time researching and collecting information that I can spend on formulating an intelligence product and the analysis that goes into it. The user interface is pretty straightforward and is very user-friendly. I have never had a problem go unsolved or not addressed by their support team. I have no problem using the modules we subscribe to every day because Recorded Future provides a living platform that is constantly updated with information.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the alerts that we have set up with the platform can be noisy, and eliminating that noise can be difficult. I understand this is not just an RF issue; many platforms are dealing with this issue. I wish some of the industry alerts were more specific to the industry that I am in. Overall, I do not have many dislikes with the platform or the team at Recorded Future. They are a world-class organization.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Recorded Future is solving our company's overall threat intelligence collection problem. This can be broken down into brand/reputational threats, cyber threats, and physical threats. Recorded Future benefits us in these collection requirements because RF is able to find most of the information automatically without having to use manpower to locate the information needed by our company. Without knowing where or how to search for specific threats, RF fills in this gap for our team.
Comprehensive threat intel
What do you like best about the product?
Good coverage of most threat intel sources with interface that is easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some source like dark web marketplace and not shared directly
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Prioritize threat mitigation
Excellent 3rd part intellgence and vulnerability platform
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Recorded Future is often the first to report on a vulnerability, as well as indicators of exploitation in the wild.
What do you dislike about the product?
RF has a lot of alerts, so it can take some time to fine tune your settings/criteria to prevent alert fatigue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
RF gives us alerting and reporting on new vulnerabilities, proof of concept exploits, exploits in the wild, and also indicators of compromise (IOCs) that we use to check our environment for potential risk. We use the data to prioritize or patching and remediation so that we are addressing the greatest risk items in a timely fashion.
Recorded Future Review
What do you like best about the product?
Organization of the Platform in terms of cards and searches.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the platform had more information in terms of Trends and Threats geographically in Dashboards which would make it easier to identify what was going on around specific countries or sectors in a more graphical way. It is possible to create specific searches for this, and obtain some information but is in a timeline sort of view.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Recorded Future plays a major role into our security use-cases, with most them receiving information from Recorded Future. From Dark web Monitoring to Fraud detection, we're able to monitor several assets within Recorded Future and being alerted right away when there's potentially malicious findings.
RF has been a great solution for our threat intelligences needs Innovative and take feedback serious
What do you like best about the product?
Insikt group has great research. Also the innovation and support in AI, and new features make ease of use better than it was in the past.
What do you dislike about the product?
Creating queries with accurate results can be difficult. It is also frustrating that you have to purchase unlimited licenses for 3rd party and cannot have access to the risk rules seperate from the 3rd party module. This assists with Vulnerability management and assessments we create, but do not need to track vendors.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Recorded future continues to innovate and provide ease of use tools. They have really spent a lot of time working on AI to make querying easier, as well as improving the dashboards to show information that is useful for the users.

Cyber Threat Intelligence with Recorded Future Is Great
What do you like best about the product?
As a cyber threat intelligence analyst, I appreciate how quickly I can research vulnerabilities and determine their relevance to my organization. The risk rules triggered for each vulnerability are incredibly helpful in assessing criticality. The sandboxing feature is pretty good for safe exploration of the dark web to find information published by ransomware groups or other malicious actors. There were several instances where I visited ransomware extortion page, that supposedly leaked company data, to check the legitimacy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Both custom and predefined alerts generate lot of false positives. Despite extensive fine-tuning, manual efforts. Human intelligence are often required to filter out these inaccuracie. The tool lacks the capability to identify documents containing sensitive company data. Also pricing is quite expensive, I feel. I would have to agree that there are lot of good than bad. With its few flaws also I would always prefer RF over most of the Tools available.

Recorded Future is one of the best tools in my arsenal
What do you like best about the product?
Security Trails, Brand protection and the browser extension I use every day. The Sandbox Analysis is amazing and really helps in analyzing suspicious links/sites in excellent detail. The integration center is allowed me to ingest indicators and threat data directly into my SIEM. I also love the quarterly cadence calls with my customer success team to go over how things are going and what RF can do for me and what is coming down the pipeline.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only 2 downsides I can think of is my concern for the recent purchase by MasterCard and then I end up going deep down the rabbit hole at times because there is so much correlated data and threat intel to go through, but that's my fault for being OCD.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was getting frustrated with domain infringement and the Brand Intelligence is amazing at finding newly registered or typosquat domains that are impersonating our company. I was also getting too much threat intelligence from too many sources and it was not efficient so the SecOps module has helped me focus on the Recorded Future intel as my primary feed. And the integrations directly into my SIEM with this information helps me identify threats to my environment faster and more efficiently.
