Great TMS
What do you like best about the product?
Makes working as part of a team easier and allows better project management. The features make marking and commenting on various sections for other team members is easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
While very small, there is no highlighting function. While making texts bold, underlined and italic, having a highlight function would add a useful feature.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Team translation and projects function helps team members work together using their strengths both in office and remotely.
Phrase for freelancers is great.
What do you like best about the product?
Not only it's easy to use, but also affordable in comparison to other CAT tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be great if it was a monthly subscription.

It makes translating easier.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Translations for several projects in one place
Great access to TM, TB and easy to use!
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it's been to access, see, download and share the exported changes. This allows our team to maintain QC and share punctual feedback with our linguists.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there were avenues for for our linguists to communicate while they work on their assignments. If we could add a chat feature or some type of bridge that will create a communication channels between translators/revisers - that would be really great!

Easy access to former jobs for all clients.

Great software
What do you like best about the product?
The visualization of all the languages and the easinness to navigate into. The fact that we can quicly see how many strings we have left to translate by language
What do you dislike about the product?
The new upgrade of UX/UI was hard for me to adapt to it in the beginning but now it's working fine. I think the least thing I like is the fact that we don't have visbility on how many words the translators had done.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The visibility of the amount of work we have left to do and the fact that we can easily integrate with other softwares/platforms.
Three- Year Experience with Phrase TMS (formerly Memsource): a Wonderful Journey
What do you like best about the product?
What I like most is segmentation and QA feature. Segmentation makes everything easy for the client, the project manager and the employee working on it. QA ensures the Quality of the task and gives you the easiest way to review and correct the errors.
What do you dislike about the product?
Formatting text in segments is only possible using computer, not by mobile, tablets, or iPad devices. I hope you fix this in the near future.

I don't actually remember one problem during my three-year time with Memsource
Phrase TMS review
What do you like best about the product?
Phrase TMS provides one of the most modern and user-friendly CAT interfaces on the market. It is stable and fast and has a very comprehensive REST API making it easy to integrate with our own tools on top of a broad range of out-of-the-box content connectors. The mobile app is a plus for linguists wanting to work on the go. It supports a lot of languages including low-resource languages. AI features such as MTQE, and MT auto-select in Phrase translate make it an advanced player in the AI productivity space.
What do you dislike about the product?
Compared to other CAT tools on the market such as memoQ or Trados, Phrase TMS lacks when it comes to providing flexibility and ease of use when setting up import filters. It is much more expensive than other CAT tools and has volume variable fees attached to its fair use policy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Phrase TMS has given us a lot of options and flexibility in terms of connectivity which has allowed us to streamline and automate processes. The easy-to-use CAT interface means that it is relatively simple to learn how to use it and has resulted in increased linguist productivity. Being a cloud-based tool with a robust browser application has allowed us to improve real-time collaboration across project managers, translators, reviewers, and client reviewers.
It is an excellent CAT, works flawlessly and I really appreciate the QA!
What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy being able to work with other translators on a single project. Phrase TMS is one of the fastest and most efficient cloud-based systems for translation.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not much to dislike. Sometimes the servers are a bit slow/unresponsive but that rarely happens to be completely honest.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows me to collaborate with other translators quickly and efficiently. The Quality Analysis system is excellent and very efficient, it discovers plenty of errors.
Phrase TMS – your friendly neighbourhood CAT tool
What do you like best about the product?
The biggest advantage of Phrase TMS is that it's user friendly. It's not intimidating to start using it, as long as you've already grasped the general idea of how CAT tools operate. Then it's a piece of cake!
You can start translating right away, and figure out the more advanced features as you go. It's exactly how software should be designed – intuitive and straightforward, with advanced features tucked away, but not hidden from access by a ton of menus.
When I started my career in translation I was drawn away from using CAT tools just because I couldn't get them to do what I wanted and just got back to using text editors and doing the translation manually. Not anymore – Phrase TMS is a game changer for me!

What do you dislike about the product?
Not much really. The interface could be a bit more visual, incorporating various colours and grouping the functions in dedicated windows. But it's already more clear then the competition.
And please, please make a dedicated app for Windows AND Mac! This would make Phrase TMS the first serious CAT tool to be available for Mac users. This, apart from being difficult to use, was my main gripe with CAT tools in general. I invested a lot of money for an Apple laptop that is considered the best computer for working, with arguably the best keyboard on the market, only to find that no CAT tools are made for this system.
The browser version is a good workaround, but it's still a workaround – most users would appreciate a full-fledged app version with key commands and shortcuts.
