Phrase is easy to use and offers browser access from anywhere, which I love. The layout is intutive and makes it easy to implement on a daily basis.

I really don't see any downsides, especially when compared to other browser-based applications.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Translator friendly experience
What do you like best about the product?
First of all the the GUI is simple and intuitive even at first glance, even for those who are trying the platform for the first time. Lots of functions, ease of use and work. I am very satisfied and relaxed to work even because it is so easy to reach customer suppport. The frequency of use, indeed, gives us more possibility to discover new feature to help in our job of tranlators.
What do you dislike about the product?
Up to now, I only find strenghts when using Phrase. I have never had problems or troubles.

Phrase is certainly improving steadily, and this is resulting in improved quality of work and significant time savings in various translation projects.

A reliable online solution for freelancers
What do you like best about the product?
I frequently use Phrase TMS both for translations and proofreading. I do not own a copy of the software myself, but use online resources provided to me by various translation agencies. I have had experience using CAT engines before, but was impressed by how simple and intuitive Phrase TMS is. I have never had a problem with the software, which is not something I can say about other CAT software. I didn't need to install anything, I just use a browser with a username and password provided by the agencies. Everything I need is in the software, though I am sure there are a lot of other tools and features that I do not know about.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are few things I dislike about Phrase TMS. Because I only use the web browser version, I'm sure there are more features that may be included that I do not even know about. The only other thing I can think of is that I cooperate with several agencies over Phrase TMS, so there are a lot of usernames and passwords to keep track of.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Phrase to translate or proofread documents for various agencies. So there are multiple translators populating the translation memories and termbases, so that simplifies the translation/proofreading process.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

First localization management tool in the company
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, intuitive to get things started
What do you dislike about the product?
If you are a small company and don't require 5 users, the price os too high
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Streamline localization, managing multiple languages, easy translation management
Easy. Full stop.
What do you like best about the product?
Phrase TMS ia a great translation memory program. Sits in a cloud, easily accessible, easy to operate. Helps to make the job done simply.
What do you dislike about the product?
Prior to use one should familiarize with the options of the program (to read the guide), but that's evil of the lesser kind :)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It tracks the previously done jobs and helps to keep the new jobs consistent.
After refreshing the usage is not so comfortable than earlier
What do you like best about the product?
The intuitive and teachable system with different types of memories. You can add several types of machine translations.
The preview option of the document i suseful below on the screen. (Although it is only a BETA-version. When will be this function fully operational?)

What do you dislike about the product?
After the recent refreshing some features have been moved to a more secluded location within the program.
For example:
1) In the QA section the former 'Hide ignored'-button' function is disappeared and now you can see it in the sort/filter menu at the bottom of the drop down menu (which now you can only see that after running the QA process with the 'Run all checks"-button) . The default setup is that the button is always ticked which results that here you see the already checked and ignored items as well which are not useful and creates a very long column unneccessarily. It is very disturbing and make the lectors' work more difficult and uncomfortable. It would be useful to reconsider this step and restore the original button, which was at the main point in the QA section at a clearly visible place.
2) Would be useful the make the ENTER-option possible at the comment-section. Now it is only an arrow which is controllable only by the mouse.
3) At the end of the strings there was a red cross when you did not complete the string. Now - after refreshing - this option is also disappeared. That red cross was more visible and obvious than the no signal (now you can only see the green tick or nothing at the end of the string).

What do you dislike about the product?

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
no problems really it is just new GUI is less user friendly than the previous one.
Great software for translations
What do you like best about the product?
I've just started in the translation field and Phrase was the first software I used to help with Portuguese/English translations.
I thought I would find it difficult, as it was a very new concept for me, with several features, but, to my surprise, the adaptation was smooth and quick.
I'm very pleased with the experience, and with the way Phrase has helped me with productivity and adapting to this new area.

What do you dislike about the product?
I've noticed that if I take a longer time between translating one passage and another (which can happen more or less frequently, depending on the size and complexity of the subject), the software ends up automatically inserting a passage in the text's original language instead of the target language. This can be resolved quickly by selecting the translated passage manually, but ca be a little upsetting sometimes.
I must also emphasize that, like any automatic software, the translation is unlikely to be 100% correct, and it is necessary to analyze the translated content thoroughly before finalizing the text. The accuracy of the translation also depends on the author's writing style, their eloquence, the clarity and organization of their text, all of which will have an impact on the quality of the machine translation. This, like any job, requires research, attention, and effort. I complement the translations with Deepl and then I get a highly satisfactory result.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For me, the biggest benefit of Phrase is the possibility of dividing the text into sections—something I never thought would be significant in the process, but it makes all the difference—making it much easier to understand and translate the section without noise. The fact that Phrase learns your translation preferences is another big plus, because all the translators of the company I'm working at can help to improve each other's text, and this is especially true for specific terms (names of national institutions, terms for medicine, agriculture, mathematics, chemistry, etc.) that are hard to translate from the original language to the target language, or vice versa. Because of the way Phrase fine-tunes its sensitivity to translated terms, many terms that I would have wasted a lot of time researching are already translated correctly the first time, which is only possible because of the work and effort of my team, the benefit of which we reap with Phrase.
With Phrase, the work and time involved in translating a text word for word, manually, is simplified by the automatic translation feature. Even though some parts may have to be modified to better suit what the author wanted in the original text, knowing that the software is memorizing our preferences and is constantly modifying and improving, the more we translate within it, gives us more confidence in relying on technology for translation. Productivity increases and we are able to translate more in less time, with guaranteed quality.
