Easy to use, clear instructions and efficient project management
What do you like best about the product?
Easy access to translation memories, fuzzies and also efficient assignment of different steps
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes when a user has not been active for a couple of days, the status is automatically changed to inactive so we need to reactivate or always check before assigning a step.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Projects always accessible in one place. Translation memory management is a benefit.
Good tool for freelance translator
What do you like best about the product?
As a freelance translator, I appreciate the ease of use of Phrase TMS from receiving files to handoff. The newer interface is easy to customize and more intuitive than earlier iterations and is on par with or exceeds that of other similar tools on the market. The functionality in editor mode allows for quick and effective operations. I look forward to using Phrase TMS in future projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
The QA process of Phrase TMS is always the most tedious part of using the tool. Although it is possible to customize which content to check during the QA, the functionality is extremely lacking compared to similar tools, which commonly offer the ability to bulk ignore certain types of errors. Also, the use of the eye icon to represent an unresolved QA item and the eye icon with a thin diagonal line to represent an ignored item are too similar in appearance and ineffective for conducting quick spot checks. These need to be changed to two distinctly different icons with different colored cell shading in future versions of the tool.

Phrase TMS increases the productivity of my work as a translator.

I really don't dislike anything about it.

Well, I am able to translate or revise a translation. It's very helpful with the TM's uploaded.

Sometimes it takes more time to load more segments in case of a large file.

What do you like best about the product?
User friendly, intuitive, good preview function, easy to export to proofread and especially you don't have to read through recurring text. Efficient and reliable customer support.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't figured out how I sort my tasks in chronological order or sort to see all projects that I have for a certain date. The next 4 hour, 8 hour etc doesn't help me.

I use it 75 % of my full time work as a translator

What do you like best about the product?
I like that it is an easy to understand platform, with easy integration and the fact that there is a 14 day trial period is ideal.

I don't have any things I don't like yet.

What I like most is that it gives me full control over my localization process.
Easy to get started
What do you like best about the product?
When using phrase i dont have to worry about the back end as the translator. I love that we no longer have to use large spreadsheets to manage the vocab we generally use, the system automaticly saves common translations and show them as sugesstions.
What do you dislike about the product?
There seems to be some setup that takes recources at the biginning and the engeneering teem to have to keep adding the new "keys". But this is overshadowed but the usebility onece set up.

We can localize the menus in the large SaaS tool.

- It is the fastest product I've tested in terms of pre-translation
- No word limit for translation is a game-changer, definetely the decisive factor for our company to chose Phrase.

What do you dislike about the product?
- It is not easy to use Phrase for pre-translations of PDF files.
- The Phrae TMS, altough very complete, it is not straightfoward. I had to watch some tutorials on YouTube to understand all the features.
- When adding some direct translations to the glossary, they are not always incorporated automatically, I still need to edit them manually.

We often need to translate longer documents in multiple languages, which we used to pay external translators to do the work. Now we use Phrase to pre-translate them, and send them for revision to the freelancer. This process saves us significant time and money.
Easy to use with a variety of features
What do you like best about the product?
It is useful to be able to skip segments that have already been translated when completing the translation of a segment and moving on to the next segment.
What do you dislike about the product?
When entering a space or tag in a corner, it is inconvenient that I cannot position the cursor where I want to enter the space or tag.

Phrase is a very easy-to-use tool.
I have no problems with it, although some of its difficulties are mentioned above.

Completed a translation project using Phrase
What do you like best about the product?
Phrase is a rather user-friendly platform that can help you deliver high quality jobs thanks to its QA and spelling checks. Moreover, you can use tools like an MT or a glossary, as well as the Concordance function that allows you to look up terms whithin the same projects you're working on! I would be happy to use it again in future projects.

The interface could use some visual improvements.

Using these kinds of platforms is a nice way to organize your translation projects and visualize them in a cleaner way. Also, Phrase ensures you are not missing any tags or other relevant information that can mess up your translation.
