Memsource
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use and the possibility of downloading and uploading the file again.

That sometimes Internet gets very slow if working online

What do you like best about the product?
When using Memsource in a translation capacity, I enjoyed how organized it was and I never feared losing my work or progress. The backup feature where it will save my work if I am disconnected from the internet has been a life saver. I also enjoy the ability to track my own work throughout the software without having to keep a notepad by my computer any longer.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I did not like about the Memsource software, as I did use the web-based application, is that it would sometimes lag or not respond.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The business problem that Memsource was used to solve was organizing translation tasks. The first benefit was the ability to have translation assignments assigned to me. Then, just simply accepting the assignment and that alerting the necessary parties that I was working on the assignment. Furthermore, it allowed me to send my progress via the confirmation component.

-Back up server that will allow you to upload progress once re-connected to the internet.

What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy Memsource is to use and navigate. It doesn't take very long to learn and it's customizable to your needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm not a fan of the mobile version and I wish there was an offline version.

Memsource is a reliable way for a company to translate in a fast and easy method.

Memsource Goes Beyond Google Translate
What do you like best about the product?
I love the simplicity of being able to translate in a more robust manner than with Google Translate

The cost is something that I dislike. I wish it was FREE!

Managing an online global community with a barebones staff means that our team has to have access to translation resources.

What do you like best about the product?
It has a user interface that resembles other standalone tools so is extremely simple to get if you recognize with other. You can utilize it free of charge with little files and there's no time at all limitation

Amongst the downsides, I miss out on a live sneak peek function many of all and in some cases I want to link my own TMs and glossaries to the tasks I am dealing with, which is presently not possible.

Memsource is an easy use online CAT tool.

I wish it had a native app to work offline.

Memsource is platform agnostic since it works online. All you need is a web browser and an internet connection. Its learning curve is subtle, if you already work with other CAT tools.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, progress is saved automatically, you can also use it offline and then upload the file when it is ready.
What do you dislike about the product?
Even with a high speed internet connection sometimes I need to wait a lot to move to the next segment, but as it is possible to work offline that does not bother me too much

I work regularly with Memsource for different clients for translation tasks

I recommend this tool as it is easy to use and almost no cons

What do you dislike about the product?
Could be better in presenting context for translators. We have the problem very often that our translators are not sure where the text will be placed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Designers don't have to adapt texts in their designs anymore. All texts can be managed in PhraseApp and edited by everyone who is eligible to. For reviews with customers, we export an XLS file and import it after corrections have been made. Developers can easily pull the texts into their code und keep the application up to date.
We have researched a lot of similar tools as well, but PhraseApp was our choice to be. Thumbs up!
