  • May 07, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We are using different tools for translations but PhraseApp has the most intuitive interface. It makes it very easy to translate and copy/compare the different locales. As the translators are working around the globe it is very important that the tool is easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing at the moment (using it as a translator)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing worldwide translations for centrally developed applications, websites, etc.

Forget about missing translations

  • April 21, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Everyone being able to collaborate and fell the progress while translating our products. Also makes very easy to share responsibilities between owners and stakeholders. It also has great and easy integrations, a powerful CLI and an even better API making it an easy choice for any developer.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I dislike is that there is some very useful features that are implemented but are only for "internal" use meaning that you can not use them via CLI/API. An example to that is the comparison of branches.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use PhraseApp for the translations of applications we develop in house and it has potential to greatly simplify the translation process and the integration with your deploy process. It has helped us to quickly localize content in all markets where our product is available and new target markets.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are still considering something else other than PhraseApp compare the integrations, API and CLI.

Very good translation tools that perfectly fits our needs

  • April 16, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
PhraseApp gives us the flexibility to incorporate the translations directly into our building process. Since we have a various set op applications, PhraseApp offers us a variety that fits our needs. The CLI-functionalities, the branching functionality and the glossary are very helpful for us.
What do you dislike about the product?
We had some problems in getting from a trial version into a production version because an external consultant, that ran some tests before taking the decision, was assigned as master for the production version.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are moving away from on-premise application development to cloud development and want to streamline the number of translations we have to do and avoid the translations of obvious terms. Using PhraseApp helps us in reaching these goals and to improve the user experience by having the same labels in all our applicatons

The easy way to translate

  • April 09, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
PhraseApp is an easy-to-use tool about translating contents and get translations the right way. In our company, translation is the key of our business and PhraseApp fits our needs perfectly.
What do you dislike about the product?
When there is a missing locale, we have to call the support. It should be great to add new locale from the user interface, based on a dedicated repository (localeplanet for instance ?).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our team goal is to give translated signages in stores across the world. PhraseApp gives up the easy way to do so. And that is awesome !!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use it !

What do you like best about the product?
The simple and intuitive interface makes it easy to translate and manage labels.
Not to forget the amazing support team !
What do you dislike about the product?
The integration to Slack can be a little messy with huge project, with more than 50 locales and almost 300 labels.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping a huge labels base up to date for more than 50 locales !

All you need at hand

  • April 03, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
PhraseApp gives a translator everything he/she needs. The most important feature is the chance to compare previous translations with the current one, so that you can easily provide a coherent text. When the text is totally equivalent you just need to click on a button to copy the text. A great tool to work quickily, precisely and without stress.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it takes a bit to upload the tool and it would be nice to have a list to check all pending jobs, so that you don't miss anything.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Communication between me and the client has become smooth and easy.

A powerhouse for translation and wording

  • April 02, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I'm working with phraseapp for the last 4 1/2 years now, I never encountered any bug, so thumbs up for the reliability here.

Still the guys and girls from phraseapp are always improving their product.
And they are really listening to their customers, which is really rare these days.

The Jobs section helped our teams a lot to streamline our process with the copy team.
As well we started to use the branch feature for some bigger projects. Big kudos for that as well!
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the UI feels a little bit cluttered, but as soon as you get used to it, its straight forward.

They really implemented all the features we requested (or had them on their timeline)
A more customisable UI to the current user role need might be a nice addition
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easier process for the Copy team and our Tech department. as mentioned above, the jobs section helped a lot, especially in our case with having distributed teams across Europe that take care of day to day copy & translation business.

So useful for multi-language multi-writer website launch

  • April 02, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Everybody can collaborate on the same site. You see the results as the work gets done. It makes it easy to split the job and to bounce on other peoples ideas.

We used it for launching our new site in 4 different languages and it made the job smooth, easy and fast (the site was launch a week in advance which is something that never happen in real life).
What do you dislike about the product?
Needing to save every time, every specific sentence (but you get the twist fast). You don't see, as a user, the history of the mods.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The whole business was working on the site. we could easily split the job. In the end, the site was released earlier than expected.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Ideal for a team who want to move fast. If your manager want to review and want to make his edits... than that's pure gold.
