NFG transformed our record-keeping and empowered strategic marketing.

What do you like best about the product?
I value maintaining precise donor records and having an integrated system for email communication, email tracking, and ticket sales.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the email tools and templates are very convenient, we seem to have a lot of trouble reaching all of our donors. It seems many email providers are getting better at weeding out mass emails, and we often get complaints from people who do not receive our emails, and sometimes they take it personally.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us keep detailed records, and helps guide our fundraising based on donor history and interaction. It also simplifies our event ticketing by keeping track of everything, and enabling us to print detailed reports.

Overall this is a great system, though as a fiscal sponsor there are some areas for improvement

What do you like best about the product?
The dashboard on the main page that allows me to get a glance at activity over the past month/year.
What do you dislike about the product?
We are a fiscal sponsor so it is difficult to allow our projects to easily use the system for their own fundraising and managing contacts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Both attracting and mantaining donors. Network for Good helps us maintain our donor base through communication tools such as newsletters to share the latest and encourage donations. It

User friendly with not too many bells and whistles.

What do you like best about the product?
The search feature makes it easy to find a donor. Tracking donations over time is also helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
I hate the reporting. No way to delete a donor or archive them. Editing donor contact info takes a lot of clicks. Mailing lists from donors seems to have a lot of dupes - Hard to manage one household with multiple donors.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is easy to navigate and looks nice.

Still going strong

What do you like best about the product?
The automated processing of ticket purchase, donations, and reply to customer is super valuable. In 17 years, I have progressed from doing it all by hand to using another ticketer, now NFG/Bonterra. Time saved is phenomenal on our three year history.

Even our reluctant patrons have attempted to purchase tickets online, but they grab the lifeline of phone-assistance when necessary. Talking to patrons helps me to know them better and makes them appreciative of the personal touch.
What do you dislike about the product?
I seldom use the dedicated Support site, so I forget how to access it. I just noticed that it is on Help tab, so that is great.

Occasionally when I pull a list for an event, one or two paid participants are not included. I know my patrons and can easily look them up, but it is worrisome to have to wonder who might be missing and why. Patrons do not like to be slighted/inconvenienced.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Bonterra frees me from handling every ticket purchase and donation individually, which allows me to spend my time on other tasks. In a small nonprofit, the few workers have a load of tasks to complete.

What do you like best about the product?
Value the relevant training & webinar topics offered throughout the year and the security the platform provides for our organization and donors.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are so many useful features I have not had the time to learn them all! Would benefit from a 1-1 training.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy & secure platform engagement for donors and administrators.

User Friendly For Your Whole Team

What do you like best about the product?
I love its ease of use with the ability to collaborate on tasks and the variety of approaches it facilitates for fundraising.
What do you dislike about the product?
For our purposes, it works very well. On occasion, I have struggled to get it out to the right contacts and it would be nice if you could resend former emails with edits to allow for updates. I am sure this is already possible, but I seem to recall having a few issues around these areas.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our board is all over the country and even in other countries. We needed something easy to use for everyone for collaborative efforts. It has increased our fundraising results and allowed more of our organization to see what is happneing on that front.

A Wonderful Software for Data Management

What do you like best about the product?
I started using Bonterra Guided Fundraising when I became associated with a nonprofit that had run for 40 years, but didn't track donors or data. I really appreciate that this software allows me to have a comprehensive look at our donors over many years as I continually input data.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I dislike about Bonterra Guided Fundraising is that it is quite an investment for a small nonprofit. However, we were able to get our first year through a grant program, and it's well worth the investment to continue to use this platform year after year!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm finally able to consolidate our nonprofit's donorbase and data over decades. I love that I can search for a particular donor, update their data, and get in contact with them as soon as possible!

What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it were easier to input many names, etc from another source.

It has always been easy to use

The ease of sending email blasts, keeping all donor & contact info in 1 place.

Becoming Familiar with Bonterra Guided Fundraising/NFG

What do you like best about the product?
Database is easy to maneuver. Customer Support is very helpful. Glad that there is an Event package.
What do you dislike about the product?
Business accounts should be set up just like Individual Household accounts. Frequently, employees register to attend events but the organization pays for the ticket. All employees should be listed under the one Business account.

Event registration should include mandatory completed fields, i.e. organization, title, email, phone. Registration attendance/name tags depend on this information to accurately print the information. For example, it would not look good to include titles on some nametags, but not all nametags.

The database should allow soft credits to be added to sponsorships. Sponsorships are generally secure via direct contact with a member of the organization, such as a board or staff member.

It would be helpful if acknowledgement letters could include fields that are not currently offered, such as Payment Description.

It would be helpful if we could select which address to use for acknowledgement letters. Sometimes, it would be a personal address, other times it may be a business address.

It would be helpful to have the ability to send out meeting notices - maybe through an email blast?

And how does an organization get to be a DO GOODER?
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is great to have a donorbase with needed information.
