NFG: A great DMS for small nonprofits
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ease of looking into donors' information - like why they donated (in honor or memoriam), and tracking which emails donors open or ignore. I love the personal video feature as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish NFG had a more sophisticated email interface. I also wish that it were easier and more intuitive to segment donors. I also find the design experience for campaign pages to be clunky -- it is difficult to design a header image, for example.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
NFG allows us to know when donors open emails - personal or mass. It helps us know which emails are effective and exciting, and where we should dedicate more of our time.
N4G Makes My Job Easier

Network for Good makes it so easy to track giving, acknowledge the gifts, and follow up! It's an all-inclusive database and email system.
What do you dislike about the product?
Though customer service is very good, there are times when I wish a live person was available a little more quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a more streamlined system with all persons in the same database for communication to various groups. It is easy to have others on staff helping with the communication.
Works amazing for our needs

What do you dislike about the product?
It takes a little getting used to to send out a newsletter.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to keep track of all of our donations and their destination. It has been great for sending email blasts and text messages.
A very efficient format for keeping track of our membership and donors.
What do you like best about the product?
Network for good is a straightforward system to update our members and donors.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have found it difficult to create queries, but someone else on our committee might be learning how to do that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This system has allowed us to compile our members and donors all in one contact information system. This network makes it very easy to see where we stand with our members and donors all in one place.
Best decision we made in years

The Network for Good site seems as though it is designed specifically for us. Easy to navigate, great information, amazing communication and event options.

We haven't found anything to dislike yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping track of donors and attendees at events is a huge benefit. Being able to categorize donors and donations to easily customize correspondence has increased donations and saved time.
Easy to use, great capabilities
What do you like best about the product?
The user interface is great and easy to use. We are able to use Network for Good as our CRM, donor database, email system and for our fundraising campaigns, including in-person and peer-to-peer. I also appreciate their dynamic approach to serving their clients. When everything went virtual in 2020, NFG immediately went to work not only providing webinar series to support their clients, but also created a new feature so we can host virtual events through their platform as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes a little longer than I would like for their support team to get back to me on questions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were using a different systems for our email system, donor database and event registration. With Network for Good, we have been able to bring everything into one system plus add additional capabilities such as peer-to-peer fundraising, video messaging and text-to-give.
Record keeping and usability
What do you like best about the product?
I like that it takes the incoming donations and puts them into graphs that are immediately visible to monitor. NFG is also fairly easy to learn how to use for creating communications, whether that be emails or creating newsletters.
What do you dislike about the product?
As much as I like it, as a NPO, I wish it were a little less expensive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
By using NFG over the last few years, we have a better handle on who donates, when, and how much. This has helped us improve our fundraising efforts by making us more focused. We have increased the number of recurring donors since using NFG!
Review for NFG
What do you like best about the product?
It's hard to pick 1 feature. As a volunteer manager, I LOVE the ability to send AND track mass e-mails and videos. I also appreciate the ability to track the in-kind value of volunteer hours. The home page gives an easy-to-read snapshot of giving and donors too. And the fundraising/development coaching was an added cost but worth every penny. adding this to our package raised our "game" significantly.
What do you dislike about the product?
As a volunteer manager, I would appreciate being able to: track the number of volunteer hours; add a field to the giving page to track in what areas the volunteers serve; and the ability to create a report of volunteer hours given AND their in-kind value in total, not just what individual volunteers donate. While these measurements should not be used for accounting purposes, having the ability to track and report this info would greatly assist us in marketing the impact of volunteer (who are donors BTW) service within our org.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
NFG opened avenues to be more creative in communicating with volunteers. The available metrics help me see what messaging is effective.
Sending e-mails that include the total in-kind value of volunteer service helps to personalize messages and make financial asks at the end.
Sending e-mails that include the total in-kind value of volunteer service helps to personalize messages and make financial asks at the end.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
NFG may appear more expensive when comparing CRM's. But the features and customer support are work every penny. I have used 3 different databases and NFG is by FAR the most intuitive and easy-to-use.

Network for Good Fundraising software made it possible to exceed our fundraising goals by 40%.

The support team stuck by me, going above and beyond to be sure I was successful.
