Great support, coaching, ease of use

What do you like best about the product?
The comprehensive help and support "My Tools" section is very helpful when we feel "stuck." Relatively easy to create contacts and campaigns.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is difficult to easily view and separate out in-kind, regualr, and non-cash in a visual way under giving tab. The Sponsorhips in events are nice but the buttons are located under the tickets and businesses have trouble locating that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We did not have a good way to capture or manage donations nor contacts. Bonterra does this easily for us.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that we can do everything in one platform, including donation tracking, communication, fundraising, and ticket sales. It is intuitive and easy to use. I use it every day. Customer support is fast and always helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the direct mail function. It needs some work. You have no idea when you have written one page, and the way you write doesn't make sense. It could be exactly like the way you make emails, so why isn't it?
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can do everything we need in one platform rather than 3 or 4 different platforms.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to Use
The info updates automatically once it is set-up.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing we do not like about fundraising is the auction portion. It does not automatically check out the winning bids. This has caused some problems and we hope Bonterra changes it soon. The rest of the auction package is great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I don't know about other problems, but we hope they are working on the automatic check-out of auction winners.

Easy to Learn Easy to Manage

What do you like best about the product?
The training is very good and the help always available. Once you learn all that you can do, it is an easy to use platform dor managing your donors, campaigns, email blasts etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
The templates for the emails could be a little more user friendly, and have some more features that allow more flexibility. But overall, easy to use once you learn.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Provides an easy to use platform for organizing donors and acknowledging gifts.

A Great Choice for a CRM!

What do you like best about the product?
The customer service is fantastic. I know that if I have a question or issue, I can pick up the phone and speak to a real person who will provide a solution. Also, after researching more than 24 platforms, I found that it offered the most features with the best price point.
What do you dislike about the product?
The frustrating things are: the donor's address do not automatically populate when writing a letter, having to pay an additional $500 per event for the event feature, and having a "lapsed" tag on donor records who are actually active donors.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can't imagine not having it! It allows us to keep track of all of our donors/donors with ease, we are able to communicate with them through the emails and sending videos and the payment gateway is easy to use as well.

What do you like best about the product?
I love that everything is under one platform-email communication, text communication, and fundraising.
What do you dislike about the product?
Additional costs for big events.having to pay an additional fee, above and beyond the yearly fee is challenging for small organizations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having all fundraising under one umbrella.

What do you like best about the product?
a huge database that can answer most questions, and if not, swift and friendly technical support.
What do you dislike about the product?
Currently, the fact that we can't access our page. Mostly it isn't an issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy interface between donor data management and communication of all types.

What do you like best about the product?
I like having my database, emails, fudnrasing pages and auctions all in one spot. A great way to get a holistic look at donor base. I really appreciate all of hte eucational webinars--I learn so much from them. I also appreciate the prompt cuotmer support!
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel the transiotn to Bonterra holds so much potential for added features and insights, however it has a been a bit confusing on the backend in terms of updating banking info with multiple new partners. I still am unsure who all I work with now.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Bonterra Guided Fundraising helps our rganization meet all of our fundraising and donor management needs.

What do you like best about the product?
Our organization doesn't have a dedicated fundraising specialist or Development Director, so our admin and assistants appreciate the guided part and ease of implementation. We have an annual fundraising plan to follow and Bonterra's cues reinforce that we are doing it right, improves our frequency of use, or helps give us ideas for how we might expand or improve upon what we are doing to expand our reach or improve our final results. The onboarding and customer support have helped along the way.
What do you dislike about the product?
We are still getting used to the additional suite of features now available, and we have been happy to see improvements to auction functionality and better cross-information features between the CRM features and the auction functions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We tracked donors and donations on spreadsheets so we needed multiple updates to keep our records accurrate. It's great to have one platform to do the CRM, auction, events, and online communications as well as prepping mailings.

What do you like best about the product?
The platform is easy to use. I find the format uncluttered and direct, which makes it easy for our designated BOD members to utilize as well without a lot of training. I use Bonterra daily. The customer support has been very prompt and helpful. I use most of the features, I especially enjoy the ability to send emails to specific donor groups. I also found the coaching extremely helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
We had a bit of a snag uploading our original data from LGL. The second try did the job, but I still occasionally find errors. It isn't a big deal, though, easy to fix. The only other downside is the cost, which is really just a bit too much for our small non-profit. We are continuing with Bonterra, though, because we will hopefully maximize our fundraising efforts easily with the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has made digital communication very easy. Also, it allows our Board members to have access to some information to aid them in their peer-to-peer campaigns.
