Effective Email protection

What do you like best about the product?
The effectiveness of the product is best. Also the professional services guy was very helpful to set it all up.
What do you dislike about the product?
Reporting FN/FP could be more streamlined as I more or less have to type reasons 3x (once in the product and subject and body on the support site).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One of the major threats is email. Proofpoint does help us protect our users and so our companies to prevent a lot of trouble.

What do you like best about the product?
Protection level is very high. TAP and TRAP integration with PoD is key component of this product. Pulling e-mails from clients, ability of customization, imposter spam feature should be used by everyone.
What do you dislike about the product?
Language of e-mails should be considered and PoC times, you should test every language you used. English, French protection performance may be better then other low used languages.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
TAP and TRAP portals are new for us. We attained better reporting and better protection.

What do you like best about the product?

Multiple interfaces to manage PPS, TRAP and TAP.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
TRAP is an awesome product and reduces the need for manual deletion of delivered malware associated emails.

Excellent and reliable product which is always undergoing feature improvements.

Proofpoint is THE Email Security Solution

What do you like best about the product?
The product truly does it all. It covers every facet of email security (and more). Once configured it is extremely easy to manage and support helps you the rest of the way! The protections include everything from virus scanning, spoofing, imposter protection. One of my favorite parts of all of this is the "TAP" system which is actively analyzing new threats. The key feature worth noting in TAP is the "URL Rewriting" and the monitoring it does of that. If a user clicks a link in an email and gets through to the website, but later that email is deemed to be malicious...TAP will send you an alert making you aware of who and what they clicked on.
What do you dislike about the product?
The initial configuration is extremely intense. It's a complex system with alot of moving parts. I would say professional services is a must for install. Outside of that, I really don't have any complaints to make.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Proofpoint has given us an incredible layer of protection in our most vulnerable area. It thwarts extremely unique email situations and even when it misses something, we're able to go back and see exactly who and what happened. I live with much more peace of mind knowing that Proofpoint has our back.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take the time to learn the system. It's extremely complex but it can do so much for you and your team. Proofpoint is releasing new features all of the time and I highly recommend keeping up on them and implementing them ASAP!

What do you like best about the product?
Proofpoint classification has been far better at catching malicious emails than our past vendors. TAP is a major feature that helps us identify phishing and malware emails. Even if they were delivered, it doesnt stop analyzing.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would say that the reporting could be better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helped us become more secure through email.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Verify with a POC that this is the right solution for you.

What do you like best about the product?
Having come from a MessageLabs environment, the vast array of configurable options is at first bewildering. I love the fact that the rules based approach means we can tweak, tune and configure options that we would never have been able to achieve with the previous vendor.
What do you dislike about the product?
The terminology can be confusing, for example an email marked as "Quarantined" may not in fact be quarantined as most people would understand it. Support can be a little too heavily focussed on west coast US timezones which can mean that accessing critical support has sometimes been difficult.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being a multinational company with numerous business units globally all operating in different ways and with different business requirements, it's great that we can setup some fairly complex sets of policy routes and rules and still continue to operate a single service from Proofpoint.

Not sure. I'm still undecided what I like and don't like.

What do you like best about the product?
Excellent customer service and support. Great knowledge base, forums and responsive support from the analysts is extremely helpful. The product does an excellent job of stopping bad actor emails and it is highly configurable to make custom adjustments.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't really have much that I dislike, I would like to see the url rewrite feature updated a bit so the original url is more visible to the end user, I think that would be helpful
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Protecting against threats, bad actors, spear phishing. Ability to make users more self-sufficient with the end user digest and managing their account. Ease of removing malicious emails, reporting abilities to show who is being targete

Excellent Security Solution

What do you like best about the product?
The Customer support team at Proofpoint is excellent. They are quick to act and concise with their instructions. As an email gateway solution, their detection rates are not littered with false-positives but very seldomly contain false-negatives (FN). They've recently enabled the option to submit FN samples via their TAP solution which has somewhat improved the overall experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
Proofpoint markets their auto-quarantine solution as a separate product (TRAP). I would like to see these two products merged into one complete package in the future.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The volume of spam email our organization receives has dramatically decreased. We've gained remarkable visibility into targeted phishing campaigns.

Proofpoint Stops Bad Guys

What do you like best about the product?
Proofpoint makes my job as an incident responder easier by stopping most of the bad stuff (nobody has 100% coverage) and makes it easy to find the bad stuff that does come through.
What do you dislike about the product?
Admin console has always seemed slow, but our sales engineer says a new version of the admin UI is coming soon to address some of those issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Enterprise email protection.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Be sure to dedicate enough time and people to configure the solution appropriately for your organization. Going live quickly with a bad configuration is worse than going live late with a good one.
