Excellent Email Protection
What do you like best about the product?
Lots of options for doing almost anything that you want. Outstanding customer service to make sure that you do things right.
What do you dislike about the product?
So many options that it can be hard to figure out where to configure different things.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We get a lot less spam and malware in our emails.

Great product to keep your business safe. Email is the largest attack surface for any company.
What do you like best about the product?
The best part of Proofpoint is the catch rate for malicious emails. I see in real-world use a rate of about 99.8% block of malicious, phishing, harmful attachments, spoofing, or impersonation attempts—definitely a valuable tool to have in your bag for any size business.
What do you dislike about the product?
The encryption module is difficult to use and, many times, will become extra work for our internal team. The accuracy rate of outbound auto-encrypted emails leaves much to be desired and when the receiving end can't (or won't) open an encrypted email, it takes even more time and resources from our internal team. A good site or explanation for receiving users would make this effort a lot easier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Email is the largest attack surface for our business, and I imagine any business. Having this tool available keeps our team focused on other more pressing tasks and less on mundane tasks like spam emails.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
End-user training is super important when using this tool. Do ensure that you have a strong sense of threat identification as I find that administration of this platform requires about 10% active management while the other 90% is covered well by the Proofpoint platform.

What do you like best about the product?
Scaleability of the product and how it is used in our envirnment.
What do you dislike about the product?
Navigation of the product does take some getting used to, especially if you are not in it every day.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can weed out a lot of potential erroneous and destructive emails from coming into our organization.
Proofpoint is a very reliable tool for businesses

I like how helpful they are with their support and also how easy it was to deploy the tool

I do not like their interface. Sometimes it can be hard to find things on the page.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to stop phishing emails coming through to our end users. This is really helping us out because a lot of users are not knowledgeable of these attacks

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about this product are its security and educational pieces. We rely on these in our company to ensure security and awareness of security. Would recommend it to any organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing that comes to mind at this moment that I dislike about this product. Everything so far has been as expected and worked as needed. Would recommend it to any organization that priorities security.

We are using it for email security and end-user education. Ensuring that our environment is safe and that our users know what to look for during their day-to-day is critical.

Do it, you won't regret it.

What do you like best about the product?
The program is highly customizable and you can get very detailed and granular with the settings in order to meet compliance and keep the stake holders happy. I am surprised people go with other products. The proofpoint staff has been very proactive with our configuration. They have a quick response time as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
The GUI can be a bit clunky at time. Or slow to refresh. Not a big deal.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Security and maintaining compliance. We are able to provide stake holders with peace of mind knowing that our email system is protected.

Just buy it already.

What do you like best about the product?
Scans links within my e-mail to ensure I am not visiting a malicious site that may compromise my work computer.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not have any dislikes; it works as it should.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
They are blocking potential malicious links within my e-mails. E-mails from unfamiliar third-party vendors are scanned and links are checked before being loaded to the browser.

What do you like best about the product?
It has been very efficient during the last five years that I managed this product, flexible for all the custom policies we need for our environment. Great tech supprt.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing in particular that I don't like about this product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Spam detection, Malware, Attachment defense, URL defense, Virus protection. They are all effective in what they do and get the job done.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Beside Email security, they also have a great product Email fraud defense that is great.

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use. Proofpoint does a good job running on its own. You do not have to do to much maintenance to it. Set it and forget it, at least for the configuration.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a bit of a learning curve with managing users, aliases, and best practices.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Primarily filters email in the cloud before it reaches our Exchange server. Proofpoint gets rid of the majority of our junk email and viruses. Secondly, it has filter policies that can be configured to block or allow specific attachment file types. We also enabled the setting to turn on email tagging to mark all emails from outside our organization with an "External" tag. And lastly, it has a URL Defense that will re-write links in emails to push them through their filter to further protect users against malicious sites.

Easy to use. I can add the sender to allow list.

I have gotten a few emails and missed them. I didn't retrieve in time. Then it is a big headache to have to talk to an admin to get your email.

Spam protection and security. Finding email which are phishing attempts.
