Proofpoint is a great technology partner with a solid protection platform
What do you like best about the product?
Constantly adding new features, helping make sure we are using the features we own to the fullest extent without trying to continually sell us new things. Provides exceptional people-centric protection.
What do you dislike about the product?
Management dashboards between features can be fragmented. The solution is very robust which can increase implementation time (working with their amazing professional services is a must).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As with any organization, we have a vast amount of spam, malware and phishing email being sent to us. While we take efforts to train our users to delete unknown email, having proofpoint at the front door ensures we maintain our security regardless of how our users interact with messages.

Proofpoint is great for email security and SMTP.
What do you like best about the product?
Simplification of setting up and managing SPF/DKIM/etc. The MTA is also reliable and easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not run into any issues with the product to date.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Proofpoint functions as our email gateway and manages our DNS-related email security settings.
Robust and powerful Email firewall and monitoring
What do you like best about the product?
UI, and Ease of use. This application (the new GUI) allows for easy flow for operations inside the portal. It is easy to block, allowlist, set policies and modify them.
What do you dislike about the product?
One issue with Proofpoint is when using the old ui, it can take extra clicks to get where you need to go. However, once familiar, the 'flow' is easy to navigate and use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to block unwanted emails from unknown or untrusted domains, we can rely on the email filtering we have in place for any external *trusted* vendors. When we get an email, we can lean on trust that its passed through the file wall and has been deemed safe.
Professional software, needs improve its UI but customer support is awesome
What do you like best about the product?
The customer support members are very good and can be consulted immediately through a dedicated portal. They are quick to respond and, depending on the situation, are very attentive in sharing screens with you.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI seems a bit old-fashioned.
When logging in, many menus and items are displayed, and it is sometimes difficult to reach the desired settings screen.
This may not be a bad thing since the software is highly specialized, but it would be great if the UI could be made a little more user-friendly.

Excellent e-mail security
What do you like best about the product?
The full suite of options that Proofpoint offer are fantastic. I especially appreciate the training videos that are offered through Proofpoint Level Up. Those are so invaluable.
What do you dislike about the product?
By the sheer breadth of scope that Proofpoint offers, it can be daunting to learn everything it offers. It takes time, a lot of reading and videos to watch, and at least it is well organized to learn.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
E-mail phishing attacks will always happen; however, with Proofpoint, they are also stopped and prevented in the future. Blocking the e-mails combined with TRAP, they are then ripped away from the e-mail server so they are not accidentally clicked on the the end user.
Hard on spam, easy on use
What do you like best about the product?
Their support is excellent. I've had issues with diagnostics, and their support is fast and knowledgeable. There hasn't been any issue we couldn't figure out or work through.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can tend to be a bit aggressive, but in the grande scheme of things, I rather have this problem than it being too loose on allowances. This way, I can at least control the flow of my e-mail better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We get a lot of multinational e-mail and protecting our servers and users from the wide variety of traffic and e-mail sources is critical for our day-to-day functions.
Very effective email filtering solution
What do you like best about the product?
The Proofpoint email security product has been very effective in securing our email environment. The product is very aggressive, which is what we were looking for. Once set up the product is easy to maintain.
What do you dislike about the product?
Currently the product is an outdated interface that requires some time to get familiar with. Also, there is a bit of a learning curve to become effective with the product. Also some of the query options are limited.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our previous email spam filter was not very flexible or effective. Immediately after implementation the Proofpoint system started showing benefits to the company. The product is a lot more customizable which helped us to be more effective in filtering. This was also something lacking in the old product.
Great Product that performs better than many others.
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of implementation and delivery was great. I have been thrilled with this and many of the Proofpoint product suites and their delivery.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have found the training side to be dated and need a refresh. Second is some deliveries seem to be taking longer than promised. I know they are coming, but was hoping they would be in place by now.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The reporting side and use of AI\MI seem to have exceeded our expectations. Their other products also seem to follow that path and offer great tools for analysis.
Love it! Once configured it has worked great

It just works so well; it continues to protect our end users from a mind-numbing amount of spam and other malicious garbage.
What do you dislike about the product?
The user interface on the admin side can be a little daunting to those unfamiliar with the product.

Filtering all inbound and outbound emails for spam or malicious behavior. It provides better peace of mind.

What do you like best about the product?
The breadth of the available integrations and modules is very impressive, anytime we purchase a new service there is usually a Proofpoint connector.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some pitfalls when initially setting it up that can cause major issues. Also it is easy to misconfigure a rule and block emails unintentionally.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking and monitoring of new threats, especially attachment or URL based phishing attempts. Proofpoint blocks thousands of phish attempts to our users daily.
