It is very simple and fast to create modules, you can iterate really fast by deploying a new feature and seeing its usage and change it really fast.
What do you dislike about the product?
it is a little complex for doing code review or managing the versions like github.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
we can create an app for our operations engineers really fast and create new use cases and features a lot faster than our Next.js webapp

Powerful and Smooth way for handling any project

  • August 26, 2024
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
1- Ease of use; anyone can create or modify tools on Retool not a must to be a developer.
2- Very easy to integrate; We use it in creating multy tools to take actions in our projects.
3- Smooth and easy implementation; requires simple authentication during Implementation and provides a lot of resources.
4- We use it on a daily basis; as we are working in customer support and all agents take actions through many tools created in Retool.
What do you dislike about the product?
1 - Performance delay sometimes.
2-Pricing is not fit for a low code platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have built all of our required tools inside Retools by connecting this through APIs, as we connect all business tools with Retool to reduce the cost of creating many users for all business tools and use Retool only for all users.

Also makes our life easier by as we utilize a lot of actions that take much time in one app inside Retool.

Retool for Scale

  • August 26, 2024
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Retool allows us to scale our processes to both technical and non-technical teams. The UI takes some getting used to, but once a basic level of understanding is acheived, there are a huge number of use cases to implement.
What do you dislike about the product?
A bit of a learning curve. Building apps as a non-technical user might be a bridge too far.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Scaling out processes that are mechanical turk-like in nature.

Great tool for automation of tasks and enablement of staff

  • August 26, 2024
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Retool has enabled staff to self serve, is easy to use, and has some good automation features.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside being the 2 minute query timeout when running larger queries, and the interface can be a little confusing to start off with.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allowing delegation of reporting tasks to other teams, and the creation of dashboard, or automated data processes.

Excellent platform to develop quick prototypes, competitive pricing and features makes it preferable

  • August 26, 2024
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the fact that they are continuously adding new features and solutions that allows us to implement not only the frontend but also the backend of custom web applications with so much ease. Additionally, it is quite well integrated with most of the industry's preferred platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is still not ready to be used beyond prototyping stage or when there is a need to fully scale the infra for heavier loads. Additionally, the ability to add custom packages and import code in popular langauges such as python is missing, although there are ways around provided to get the job done at the least.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is allowing us to develop internal web applications and deploy with minimum time. Also, bug fixing is quite easy.

What do you like best about the product?
- Drag and drop interface, I don't need to deal much things with the UI. The default UI is good enough.
- Mobile supported.
- Version control, we can easy publish/rollback version.
What do you dislike about the product?
- I think it is harder to customize when you want to have a complex UI.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using retool for internal app for internal users.

Fast and Reliable way to build internal tools

  • August 26, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's very simple and easy to use. Everything is just drag and drop with a little Javascript and you will have your app running. Retool saved us a lot effort building our internal tools, simply focus on our business logic and Retool will handle the UI. We have automated a lot of internal tasks with the help of Retool.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it's a bit hard to debug from the software engineer point of view.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Retool helps us automate the process of managing the orders in our fulfillment process. We also use Retool to build several dashboards as the internal interface for the warehouse operators to interact with underlying physical machines in our warehouse.

Retool is an excelent tool to create flexible dashboards

  • August 23, 2024
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the flexibility of the platform, as it allows you to fetch data from a wide variety of sources and manipulate the results on the fly using JS. I also like the flexibility of the graphs that one can build, as retool exposes the pyplot API that gives you further flexibility when it comes to the kinds of graphs you can make.
What do you dislike about the product?
I personally think that Retool should add support for more data sources that are still missing, or give the ability to add custom sources by setting up calls via a client (such as a JS or Python client) with the appropriate drivers. This is an actual bottleneck to using the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problem that Retool solves for me is being able to put together dashboards that empower our stakeholders to make data driven decisions. It is a platform where development is fast and deployment of changes is trivial, making iteration really easy.

Its helping save time in setting up apps quickly

    Logistics and Supply Chain

The only tool builder for internal uses that you should look for

  • August 23, 2024
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Retool is a great tool for quickly building internal apps. It's really easy to use, and the version control feature is super handy for keeping everything organized. Plus, it has pretty much everything you need to get the job done.
What do you dislike about the product?
Retool has a few downsides to keep in mind. Debugging, especially for scripts, can be pretty tricky. The "Preview" button actually triggers the function, which can lead to unattended requests—something that’s not clear just from the name "preview." Also, it’s not the most user-friendly for non-tech folks, so they might find it a bit tough to navigate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We don't need to spend time to build tools for internal users like customer supports.
