Automox: Patch Management
What do you like best about the product?
It's overview of what patches are outstanding and categorising them according to severity and days outstanding. (NOT written by an AI. I don't know why you keep saying this)
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI could be a bit unclear. For example when trying to filter devices accoridng to group. it's not as straight forward as I would like.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I didn't have a proper patch management solution and had tried using Azure's Arc to get an overview of what's outstanding but the reporting and the inteface sucked.
Great Product and Easy to Use
What do you like best about the product?
The automation aspect is great. Price is on Par or better than other solutions. We use it for patching as well as a replacement remote support options. The machine only needs an active connection to the internet to get the patching and remote support is basic but works better than other free services. We used to user TeamViewer but it got to expensive and required more actions on the users part. This system allos us to push software, update and provide remote support all in one package.
What do you dislike about the product?
The automox service that runs on the devices tends to disonnect or turn off at random times. A reboot of a PC sometimes fixes it but for the most part we end up having to restart the service for it to get updates and allow for the remote support. This is not a major issue though as its fairly random.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solves the issue of PCs getting bad patches and allows us to control the flow.
IT System Admin
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best is the ease of use and the support team.
What do you dislike about the product?
The scripting, policies, and worklets are difficult to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows me to remotely patch software on many devices.
Life Saver
What do you like best about the product?
Love that we can not only use it for remote connection to machines but also we use it for patching, vulnerability scans, software patches, software installs. With the modules that they offer being all user based it opens the door to the market for usability. We use it everyday for anything and everything. Anytime we have needed assistance from the support team they are right there on the ball to get us helped out. Implenetation and integration in the network was super fast and easy and training that they offer to admins is very very handy. Top notch service and reliability.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much to say that I dislike. They schedule updates in a manner that is conveinent for you and its rarely been down. One time in the now 2 years we have had it in place and only for about 2 hours.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Patching vulnerabilites and allowing us to spend less time focused on that and more time on the even more important task.
Easy to use platform that just works
What do you like best about the product?
Flexibility with Workletts. Console is clean and intuitive.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much, it really is a great tool. At times there can be some agents that get stuck and unresponsive but could also be network/endpoint issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When I need to push out a fix in bulk, I can create a powershell script and deploy in mass. This saves a ton of time and resources.
Used for over 1.5 years but forced to let go.
What do you like best about the product?
Automox is a really good patching tool and if you give it a bit of time to setup you can achieve quite alot of configurations and solutions for your company.
I would even say its so easy to use you most likely wont need to call customer support but even if you did they are more then happy to give you a tour again.
we used it everyday for all of our windows servers for a full year without any kind of misshaps.

What do you dislike about the product?
The logon time is way to short, its a bit frustrating when you are having alot stuff open at the time and you intend to back in quickly to check something but you need to manually log in again.
Automox should seperate OS patching and security patching and 3rd party software patching into different categories in the software section instead of having one big one instead.
A uninstall flag on your agent exe would be appreciated

automating patching on linux, windows servers, some windows computers.
Very Well Supported, not always user friendly
What do you like best about the product?
For the most part if it wasnt easily do able, Automox is able to support you in a fix. Usually though it is pretty easy to configure the system to do as you wanted it to.
What do you dislike about the product?
We had a software issue, and automox would simply not work on some PC's. I had to be very meticulous to get them to pay attention to the fact that there was an actual issue. It took nearly 2 months of work to get it straightened out. While yes it was a big issue, and once they looked at it, the issue was resolved very quickly. The only complaint I had in the entire ordeal was that it took so long to get them to admit an issue and send it to an engineer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Rapid patching and scripting that we need on a regular and sometimes spontaneous need.

It integrates effectively with other applications we utilize, and update windows can be assigned to individual devices or groups for enhanced management.
