Make your life 100x easier
What do you like best about the product?
Automox is a dream to work with. At every step in my organization's journey with 3rd party patching, automox has delivered . Implementation of the product is a breeze with numerous ways to accomplish this initial task. Additionally, documentation for virtually every use case is available in the support portal via knowledgebase articles or offical manuals. While limited in some areas, the documentation is clear in its construction and organized in a sensical way. If you encounter a problem you can't solve through the knowledge base, the Customer Support has got your back. They are responsive, knowledgeable, and reliable when troubleshooting the "unseen" and novel errors or issues that come with rolling out any product for the first time. My organization has not encountered an issue that Automox Support did not know how to resolve. Support for the product is fantastic, easy, and effective.
The range of features is extensive as it currently stands and it is still growing (almost daily) when you consider the worklet catalog. Reporting from automox albeit somewhat limited, is effective. Device management from a singular device or a group of devices is well thought out and contains all the functions or features you would need. If not, check out the worklet catalog...odds are someone has written something that can accomplish what you want to do.
In our organization, we oversee hundreds of systems and utilize automox daily for patching and keeping up with the ever evolving threat landscape. It has completely offloaded a stress and manual process that used to take roughly 4-6 hours, depending on how the computers wanted to act that day. It has integrated seamlessly into our environment and drastically reduced the time to work on this critical task. Building out the policies is easy, organizing your systems is intuitive (if you don't do it when onboarding devices, I highly reccommend it).
TLDR: We don't have to worry, automox took an age old process, offloaded the mundane, and reduced our time spent working on patching and device management, and streamlined our workflows. I highly reccommend the service and would absolutely consider it a necessity for any IT department.

What do you dislike about the product?
The one thing I wish was more flushed out, is the reporting within automox. Some of the reports are limited in the information they provide and I find myself stringing together different reports to satisfy my organization's needs. With that being said, I've contacted our account representative and they have been transparent in addressing this slight issue. I feel heard in my concern and understand that this issue is actively being researched and developed. Our rep even sent over a method to try and work around this issue, so its really just a matter of time before this feature catches up.
Again, its not a "make-or-break" issue, its a feature request. Considering how amazing the rest of the product is, I know its only a matter of time before my opinion on the reporting functionality is completely reversed.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Its offloading an ever-present technical problem faced by all IT departments to automation and the cloud. My department now has time to focus on other projects and implementations that will further increase the value we generate for our organization.

Keeps Getting Better
What do you like best about the product?
The developers who are making Automox a better application. My first time using this application, it was barebone. Yes, worklet is nice but some things are missing. For example, remote control was not available.
But the developers are making this application better and they are listening to their users.
Customer Support has been amazing as well. They usually get back within a couple of hours and help resolve issues as soon as possible
API is easy to use to do things that are not available on the web portal. They have well-written documentation that is available online
Our Rep Grace, has been amazing as well. She stays in contact and makes sure we have what we need.

makes patching and running scrip remotely much easier
Set and forget
What do you like best about the product?
We patch around 200 Linux servers, and we find it really easy to set up a policy to patch our systems on a regular schedule. We also need to cycle services on those Linux servers occasionally, and Automox makes that process really easy. We love the agent for Automox because we don't have to have clients open any firewall rules.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much! This covers all the basic needs we have for patching!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
manual labor to patch many servers!
Automox was a job saver
What do you like best about the product?
Automox is simple and easy to use and the worklets library is amazing place to find pre-built commands. We were easily able to identify and update 150 Windows 10 machines to the latest build overnight which was a nightmare for us before on our old system.
What do you dislike about the product?
Reporting is great but could be better when using custom worklets. Output isnt always informative unless you write it to be.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Patching, new software installs, and third party software updates
One of our best relationships
What do you like best about the product?
It was hard making the case of why we wanted to scrap SCCM and move to another platform that was more robust. I brought Automox in for a POV because I liked their roadmap, vision, and openness to work with us on maturing the product.
Immediately it showed value, identifying three products in our portfolio of hundreds that were accounting for 45% of our overall risk profile. They were products it would have taken us bending over backwards and using both SCCM and WSUS, utilizing at least three FTEs over the course of weeks to get that information out of all our systems. Automox provided it within the first scan, and was foundational to my team centralizing all patching across the environment to one person.
We've never looked back since. The Automox team has been truly invested in our success.

My biggest hit against the platform are around reporting and data trending capabilities. The reporting has not kept up with the maturing of the platform and it's functionality. The only other tub I have it the ability to see across the totality of our environment and get numbers to continue to show maturation and ROI.
The have been great about this too, and I've had the opportunity to engage directly with leadership to work toward meaningful reporting.

Provides us with heterogeneous portfolio support, being able to patch and upgrade all MS products, as well as numerous third-party products. We use it to configure assets, push links to desktops (very big deal when you're a 24x7 organization that requires high uptime, so pulling Mobile Data Terminals out of vehicles just to add a new desktop link because we updated a mission-critical is a game changer.
It has helped us get our arms around configuration slip across the fleet and our automation. I never thought I'd get to the point in my career where my teams are patching weekly with no disruption to the business.
The customer support has been huge in our success, working with my team to develop automations, integrations, and worklets if they can't find them in the community portal.
Prior to Automox I had little visibility into our asset health, which resulted in upgrades never being pushed out, even though the teams thought they were, Automox gave me the story to show leadership we had six FTEs across four teams patching inconsistently and that the process has low efficacy. Now we run the entire patching program, servers, workstations,MDCs, and laptops with one dedicated FTE and the old teams welcomed the new process because they saw it wouldn't blow up their world or take away their authority.

Solid Patch Management Software
What do you like best about the product?
Friendly, responsive, and helpful customer service
What do you dislike about the product?
Some sections in UI are slow to update with current patch information
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automation of patch management across environment
Automox is the automated patch management we needed
What do you like best about the product?
It doesn't do things it doesn't need to. They don't package a ton of things in the software I don't want. It's patch management and software distribution. I really do like the software reporting as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
We haven't come across too many downsides other than the constant reboot requests. It's been working well for use overall. It will not show the machine as scanned and ready to accept patches if it's waiting on reboots from the user. Even though we have it set to reboot when needed there are still many times a manual reboot is required.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I don't have to manage WSUS anymore. That is a very big one plus. It is also able to push software packages over the web without the need for a VPN.
Automox - a simple but very effective tool to use.
What do you like best about the product?
- Automox has a very user-friendly and intuitive interface;
- it is most helpful in automated patching of remote devices in multiple locations;
- it has cross-platform support;
- if there is a task that cannot be implemented through the console or API, then it can be completed using PowerShell or Bash scripts (worklets).

What do you dislike about the product?
- there is no detailed report on ALL actions in the console, both mine and other administrators, and accordingly it is not always clear who made this or that change.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automox assists us in managing vulnerabilities centrally and complying with standards by keeping all devices updated. And it allows us to free up time and resources by patching devices automatically instead of manually.
Great to have an insight in all the devices
What do you like best about the product?
- Easy to install on all devices when employees are onboarding the organisation.
- policy pushing on the devices depending on the role he/she fullfils in the organisation.

Excellent patch management
What do you like best about the product?
Automox is really great with the patching process. We've created several policies for different items. We have a policy that automatically updates web browsers and select 3rd party software. It is really robust and allowes
What do you dislike about the product?
We had some issues earlier on with the Agent and connectivity. We also lost our Automox onboarding Team member randomly and were not informated in a timely mannor (we showed up to a scheduled meeting and the link was inactive and an email to them bounced back). We eventually got back on track with a new team member from Automox and they helped us get things rolling!
I believe the reports feature could use improvements.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Windows updates were being managed on prem by WSUS. that solution is outdated and horrible. Microsoft would rather you do things individually but we could not get realtime information on what machines were updated and which ones were not.
