Aside from me wanting to change some visuals or rearrange a dashboard I really dont have any major dislikes
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Patch managment not only in our Windows enviroment but Linux as well! We now have things happening in one window isntead of spread out.

Automox is the real deal!

  • June 27, 2024

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Automox is how hands off it becomes after you get your groups and policies configured. The implementation of the groups and policies is very easy as well. It functions as a well oiled machine! The account reps and support reps are great to work with as well!
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't dislike anything about Automox. There's been a few times where they're having an issue on the back end and processing of patches is delayed. That's a bit of an inconvenience, but is usually fixed in a few hours.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automox helps keep our devices patched with Microsoft updates as well as third party patches.

Automox is well worth the cost and makes a lot of the mundane tasks of a Systems Admin job a breeze!

What do you like best about the product?
It helps automate a lot of the day to day repetitive tasks like building a new package and uploading it into Intune weekly or uninstall an application from a fleet of PCs or Macs. The worklets available are very useful to accomplish things you didn't even think about that make everything easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
When there are bugs or things that are broken, it can take a bit longer than I would hope to resolve (sometimes 1-2 weeks). I am still very hopeful those set backs are just growing pains from a still relatively young company expanding its capabilities year after year.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Patching all of our 3rd party applications, uninstalling unused and outdated software and patching servers, PCs and Macs with OS security patches.

Automox has been a key item in our day-to-day patching and helped where Intune could not.

What do you like best about the product?
Using Automox has allowed us to work at higher speeds in changes that we make in our customers as well as our own environment. The worklets have been great. The patch management has been a great selling point for MSP customers as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
The least helpful would be the worklet catalog, only because I wish it would update with new worklets more often. I also wish there was a way for Automox to run Bios updates if needed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automox has helped us where Intune could not. Patch Management has been simplified.

What do you like best about the product?
GOOD TO HAVE A TOOL LIKE AUTOMAX IN ANY ORGANIZATION, AS WE CAN AUTOMATE PATCHING
What do you dislike about the product?
THERE ARE LOT OF IMPROVEMENTS REQUIRED IN REPORTS SECTION.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
ITS IS HELPING ME TO SCHEDULE A PATCHING AUTOMATIC FOR YEAR, NO NEED TO SCHEDULE EVERY MONTH SEPARATELY

Better results than MS System Center

  • May 28, 2024
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Most of the time Automox just works. I really like how easy it is to create worklets to install, remove applications or to resolve vulnerabilities. Using Automox for our patching solution has worked well too, I would say our environment is the cleanest it's ever been with very few patches that fail.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are times when a device will not connect with Automox and we can not find a reason for the failures and also times when a server shows it updated but Automox still shows it needs the update that was just applied. The problems are rare and occur less than 1% of the time but I end up spending a lot of times on the few issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In our enviroment there are others who can install software that is outdated, with Automox I created a job to remove those troublesome applications every day. We needed to do a better job of getting patches out and Automox does a great job almost all of the time.

Things that took 3 hours could be completed in 3 minutes!

What do you like best about the product?
Automox allowed me to run scripts on multiple computers within the organization to minimize the time spent going to every one of the PCs to get the job done.
What do you dislike about the product?
Automox allows you to do a whole lot, however, there are some instances where the console may take a bit longer to load than normal.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automox allows you to readily patch vulnerabilities in minutes and can also patch multiple systems all at once.

Decent product if you have the product

  • May 10, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The wat the patches are being applied. It 'just' works. Plus, the ease of implementation and customer support.
What do you dislike about the product?
Powershell always running in 32-bit
No 'In user context' feature when running scripts
The price
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is deploying patches to all our Windows / Mac OS clients and all our Windows / Linux servers. Besides this, we are also making use of the workflow feature which can be used to deploy scripts / custom applications to the devices.

A great cloud patch management solution

  • April 08, 2024
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
1. It's a cloud solution, and can be accessed from anywhere.
2. It supports Windows, Linux and MacOS systems
3. It's easy to use and manage
What do you dislike about the product?
Some times you need to create Worklets to patch/run an update instead of just letting the system do everything automatically.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is solving our security issues when all of our systems are being patched automatically each day, even when some are not On-Prem.
It supports our mixed system operations.

Very lacking

  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
There really isn't really anything I like.
What do you dislike about the product?
Just about everything. the remote sessions are laggy. The sessions disconnect all the time if you can get it to even connect. I have waited 7 minutes for it to fail. I did this several times before a successful connection. the worklets would be good if you could actually run the policy. Out of 5 trys to run the policy, only 1 ran. There is no inventory for the systems. There aren't any notifications to alert if a machine disconnects or has any issues really.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
it isn't. It's actually causing more problems and slowing responses down to users having issues. and to top it off, you have to pay to have these problems. worst system I have ever used. I had to open a case about the site ending our sessions within 30 minutes when we set it to stay logged for 8 hours, the support told me to use a browser extension and I never heard back until weeks later when automox finally addressed the issue.
