Redhat running Linux on z
What do you like best about the product?
Redhat boots up faster than any other OS that is currently running on IBM z mainframe. Having quick bootup speeds helps a business with the ability to get backup and running within seconds.
What do you dislike about the product?
Installing Redhat on z is very challenging and the documentation isn't showing the correct steps. There are a lot more steps needed that aren't described in the manual, plus it would also be nice to have a similar GUI as SUSE does (YaST)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Containerization and speed of deployment
RedHat Enterprise Linux
What do you like best about the product?
Our most of the application servers run in RedHat Linux, those are more secure, reliable & fast processing of the requests. Its compatible with any kind of runtime applications. Really its worth to maintain applications running in LINUX environment.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing specific wrong about this, while comparing to other operating systems this is good.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For our applications its compatible to run and stable during any disasters.

Different environment with pros and cons
What do you like best about the product?
Its extremely fast for doing certain functions where windows just lags to much. It can connect and work over different servers in different regions better than windows. It has a lot of options for autkmating stuff usinf various scripting methods
What do you dislike about the product?

Enterprise Operating System
What do you like best about the product?
The system packages are tried and time-tested which means you won't get the bleeding edge versions, but you can count on them working. The RHEL community is large and Red Hat support is generally responsive to cases. The GUI in the desktop version is definitely a little older, but this is not meant to be a gaming platform, it's meant to be an enterprise OS for stability and security. The server is one of the only OS's I'll use in production.
What do you dislike about the product?
The continued reliance on YUM is, in my opinion, more antiquated than it's worth keeping around. DNF is coming in RHEL 8 hopefully. The pricing model for RHEL server is a little funky.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm involved in building OpenStack clouds and Ceph clusters on RHEL 7.6. Considering both OpenStack and Ceph versions are supplied by Red Hat, it's an optimal fit.
Easy to use OS
What do you like best about the product?
Very simple and straightforward system to use, highly customisable and easy to set up administrive permissions etc
What do you dislike about the product?
Bit basic look and feel, lacks a certain finishing touch/polish like other similar OSs
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Connects whole company together on a system that can be made into its own to suit the company needs. Allows to concentrate on the important bits of a system and cut out the unnecessary bits that can inhibit performance
Usually Reliable
What do you like best about the product?
Effective linux distribution with good customer support. Reliable for a work environment
What do you dislike about the product?
When you lock your screen and return, the application is unresponsive, and requires you to minimize the screen before actually seeing UI updates.. However, this may be an issue with nx client, and not red hat. Additionally, the preferences are
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use this as a development environment.

Still RHEL is the best and reliable
