I use Office 365 for various tasks, ranging from Excel to PowerPoint, utilizing all applications of Office 365 in different capacities within the mining industry. It helps with tasks such as data analysis and is an essential tool for day-to-day operations.
What is most valuable?
Office 365 enhances productivity in the mining industry by aiding with data analysis. It is crucial for daily activities, providing support in making reports, presentations, and conducting data analysis. It is indispensable for multiple operations, ensuring that office work can be completed efficiently.
What needs improvement?
I would like there to be a feature where Office 365 can be linked with ChatGPT or Gemini to enhance our current setup. The introduction of AI features providing prompts is helpful.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Office 365 for more than five years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
I have not experienced any downtimes or stability issues with Office 365.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
I find Office 365 to be scalable when adding additional resources.

There is another team responsible for handling technical issues and tech support, so I do not have direct experience with it.

While we also use Google Sheets, I prefer Microsoft products. Excel is easier to use compared to Google Sheets because I am accustomed to how formulas work and can apply macros easily.

I was not involved in the initial setup process as it was handled by the IT team.

The setup of Office 365 was conducted by another team, specifically the IT team.

Apart from Office 365, we have worked with Google Sheets.

I rate Office 365 as nine out of ten. Based on my experience, I would recommend Office 365 to others because it is a necessary tool for us and supports various operations daily.

What is our primary use case?
We have been using Office 365 more as a collaboration and communication tool. My team and I utilize Office 365 and its sub-products for elements of task management such as planning, the planner feature, the risk board, time card, time off, calendars, and other related features.
What is most valuable?
We have been using Office 365 for tagging critical communications and building communities of practice and centers of excellence. The main feature we use is tagging, which provides notifications and reminders. By creating labels, we can identify tasks with customized labels for project phases, which aids in visualization and reporting. Integrating Outlook with Planner and Teams channels has been beneficial as well.
What needs improvement?
It would be helpful if Office 365 integrated Copilot or more AI capabilities to provide proactive notifications. For task management, AI could offer insights and early indications of overdue tasks by analyzing activity updates. These features could improve intelligence and assistance for users.
For how long have I used the solution?
We have been using Office 365 for close to three years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
We have no complaints about the stability of Office 365.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Office 365 is scalable in terms of numbers because it can easily handle multiple projects onboarding, warranting a ten out of ten rating. However, in terms of adapting to changing project scopes, it is somewhat restrictive, which would rate around six out of ten.
How are customer service and support?
The support provided by Microsoft for Office 365 is generally good. Although there had been some delays, no major complaints arose from these experiences.

Before using Office 365, we used Confluence, Atlassian tools, and Google tools like Slack and Google Messages. While both Office 365 and Google have their strengths and weaknesses, the seamless experience with Office 365 stands out.

Setting up Office 365 is easy. I would rate it a nine out of ten in terms of simplicity and user-friendliness.

Office 365 is costly for individuals and small businesses. However, for larger user bases with bulk offerings, the price becomes more reasonable.

Before using Office 365, I evaluated Confluence, Atlassian tools, Google tools like Slack, and Google Messages.
What other advice do I have?
I recommend going ahead and using Office 365. It is fast, easy to navigate, and does not require technical expertise to operate. The user-friendliness and experience are both great. I rate the overall solution a nine out of ten.
