Limited API
What do you like best about the product?
This app allows us to easily put together a course and create coupons for it.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you want to get data out of this app, however, you will have a difficult time and likely need the help of an API expert.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a certification course for our OSS. We chose Skilljar first.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You can use it to get something out of the door. Don't expect to be able to easily make contact reporting based on Skilljar data
The easiest way to teach our customers everything they need to know!
What do you like best about the product?
There are many to list here, but the two that stand out for me are: first, the very ease with which you can implement almost anything in the Northpass backend and, second, the outstanding support when it comes to anything more custom. Northpass provides us with an exceptional system to educate our customers while educating us equally through their Support department!
What do you dislike about the product?
As of now, there is only one downside, which is that updates to courses reset the progress of learners that have not completed the course yet. As always, this is currently being taken care of, and a short-term fix has already been implemented, thanks to the quick action by Northpass Support!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use a tool that seems complex at first sight and therefore requires some training before usage. Northpass enables us to teach our customers everything they need to get started, thereby helping us improve our service and helping our customers be more successful!

The ability to design custom learning pathways w/ custom notifications

We use Outlook and event registration does not sync. We would like to see Managers have access to learning pathway analytics.

We can now offer virtual training - we had no LMS prior.
Love the platform - super simple to use and very intuitive!
What do you like best about the product?
I work at a healthcare software company and we were trying to find a way to distribute different tutorials to the different user-types of our product. The user roles feature within Northpass was a perfect fit! We can categorize our content based on the different user-types we're targeting, or the different versions of software they are using. I also like that you can create several different types of content, including quizzes. I think the way courses are set up is very intuitive for the users as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, there isn't anything notable that I don't like about using Northpass!

We needed a learning site platform for our healthcare software users, and we needed a way to deliver different content to different user-types. Northpass is a great solution for us.
Great Customer Service!
What do you like best about the product?
Northpass Customer Care has been top-notch. We've had a designated specialist walk with us through the initial stages of building our courses who was always available to meet with us and answer questions. Whenever I have had a technical question, the team responded to me quickly. The team has felt accessible and willing to hear suggestions. We have been using Northpass for a few years now and I've been impressed with the upgrades they have been making all along.
What do you dislike about the product?
The quizzes and assignment upload features feel clunky. I end up using 3rd party apps, which Northpass has planned for, but I think I'd prefer to be able to create forms within Northpass. Navigation has not always been intuitive for users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have been able to create training materials for our global organization. During the pandemic, we were able to pivot many of our activities to virtual settings because we were already using Northpass.

This app is straightforward to use and very simple to set up courses. The team at Northpass has been very responsive to any questions or issues we have.

Not much. Some of the reporting could be a little better as far as progress by a student by company.

Getting our training out in an easily accessible eLearning format has been beneficial to our organization

If you are looking for a new, easy way to deliver content to employees or external clients, I would highly recommend Northpass. They have been great to work with, and their pricing model is very fair.

Krzysztof is the support specialist who has helped me out with a lot of different queries already. I can always count on a fast answer with a valuable and usable solution.

Even though the customer support specialist is helping me out a lot, not everything is as intuitive as I hoped.

It will definitely be a big plus if Northpass can develop dynamic and interactive features for the quizzes/assessments.

Northpass is helping us onboard and train our internal employees and external contractors. This has benefited us tremendously from a quality perspective
Simple Yet Powerful LMS
What do you like best about the product?
The Northpass LMS is straightforward, easy to use, and extremely flexible. Their well-documented and reliable APIs and webhooks have made integration straightforward and fast. The product is extremely stable, and their team is continuously working to improve and build an even better product that works with and for today's learner.
Their team has always been extremely helpful in answering any questions or receiving feedback that we have. Northpass pricing was also extremely flexible for our unique model...they're the only LMS that worked for our model, in fact.

What do you dislike about the product?
At this time, I have no complaints. There have been some minor gaps for our unique operating model, but we've been able to quickly fill them using the Northpass APIs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
While we focus on providing in-context training and resources, we occasionally need to provide self-paced training. Northpass makes this possible for us, while also still enabling us to make it context driven through learning paths and by triggering courses over time instead of assigning lots of material all at once.
