Easiest onboarding experience
What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy it is to get in touch with customer success and support. Their responses are quick and thorough. I also really enjoyed the ease of admin settings.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some limitations with built-in customizations. I wish there were more options for quizzes and automations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a way to provide external training to improve our self-service resources and this satisfied that need.
Easy, Intuitive, and Highly Customizable
What do you like best about the product?
Not only did I enjoy working with my Implementation Team, but I love how easy and intuitive SkillJar is to work with. Our site was customized to look like our product page thanks to their ProServ team, and all our content is presented in a clean and intuitive manner.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's hard to find some analytics, and I had to set up automation through Zapier to auto-add users to groups. I know it can't have everything, but I'm happy with what we have.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a public-facing LMS platform to host product certification. We have an internal LMS that isn't as customizable as SkillJar. SkillJar worked with us to make everything as seamless as possible.
Great LMS for any sized team
What do you like best about the product?
Skilljar is very easy to get into and get started. No matter your team size, the platform makes it simple to start moving forward. It's also so customizable that you can make it the site you had in mind when you started your project.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you're not familiar with HTML code and you're wanting to customize your site on your own, it's a bit hard. But if you have resources available to you, it's simple for any HTML for those who work with it normally.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed to get a customer education center up and running quickly, Skilljar allowed us to do just that. Now our customers are able to have guided self-paced onboarding/education.
Best in class Customer Education platform
What do you like best about the product?
I love how user-friendly the Skilljar platform is and how easy it is to develop and present content to diverse learners. We are using Skilljar for both internal and external education, and it has been very intuitive for team members to build content. It has been equally easy for our users to access content and get the information they need to be successful using our platform, tools and data.
What do you dislike about the product?
My only complaint is that Skilljar could expand upon their web app integrations and provide a bit more flexibility with customizing some of the apps. We are using Skilljar for both internal and external domains and the limited Salesforce integration has been an obstacle for us. Additionally, the ability to customize integrations with other apps (e.g. more instances of Gainsight beyond Gainsight PX) would make it even easier for customers to maximize the value they get from Skilljar.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Skilljar integrates seamlessly with our tech stack and makes it easy to provide excellent educational content to our customers and partners with trackable metrics to demonstrate program value.
Skilljar LMS review
What do you like best about the product?
Simple, clean interface. User friendly. Can complete steps without a lot of clicks. Quality out of the box analytics.
What do you dislike about the product?
Wish you could duplicate/copy across domains, so you don't have to recreate paths and pages on each domain.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Better user interface for both students and admins than our previous provider. This saves time for all users when taking training and/or as an admin of the LMS.
User friendly system
What do you like best about the product?
I like how we can easily set up and provide users with a link to our training material.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that when you create user groups for reporting purposes there isn't a way to restrict an admin from being able to access all users in the system if they need to add additional users to their user group. As a vendor that works with multiple organizations the ability to restrict the list of users by email address or some other method would be extremely helpful when we think about the reporting ask of our customers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Skilljar is helping us to create customized training for our customers which is something our customers have been asking of us for a while now.
Easy to Create a Sophisticated Customer Education Platform
What do you like best about the product?
The customer support through the onboarding process was great. They were very responsive and helped with any issue that came up. I also found building courses and making our academy site look professional and sophisticated easy. This platform has changed the game for our customer education & onboarding processes.
What do you dislike about the product?
There were a few features that felt less intuitive particularly around creating user groups and various other background details. I love the monthly metrics report but I wish I could set it up to send to a group of people instead of having to ask users to opt-in to the report.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Adding an academy has greatly reduced the amount of time our customer success managers have to spend on training new users. It has also improved our internal onboarding for new employees. We're excited about how much more we can continue to do and how much potential there is to make our onboarding and customer training more efficient.
Easy to use platform, great services approach and team.
What do you like best about the product?
Skilljar market positioning and our interactions with their team have been spot on. Our implementation manager was great and the Quickstart support materials and online resources were very good.
What do you dislike about the product?
Product feels a little early in its functional build out - it does the basics well and I'm looking forward to future releases. They seem to acknowledge the areas where the product needs work which fills me with confidence that they understand us and that they'll get there over time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Adapting core LMS features for external (customer/partner) KM requirements. This helps us tailor knowledge transfer to customer/user personas which our own product adoption.
The most powerful, flexible, and approachable tool to scale customer training
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to tag and group content is my favorite feature because it allows you to show/hide filters based on the catalog page you visit. This functionality is incredibly powerful for showcasing a huge library of content, logically organized by different content types and learner personas. The Skilljar team is also very knowledgeable and goal-oriented. On multiple occasions during implementation, my developer team asked to speak to someone "technical" at Skilljar, and my assigned Implementation Manager was fully capable to handle the questions they asked.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a couple of features lacking for which I've made feature requests: Path completion events, email customizations for path enrollments, and cosmetic "nice to haves" for the web design experience. All things considered, there aren't many things for which I haven't been able to find a workaround.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Skilljar helped us execute our vision for a self-sufficient learning system for anyone to use our product to the fullest extent. By delivering self-led learning paths by persona, we've reduced risk within paying customers by easing change management and nurturing after onboarding. We've also reduced the average number of days in our customer onboarding process, spend less time in 1:1 training, and influenced time to effectiveness within employee onboarding. Although we are early in our program, we also see the potential for growing our brand and influencing account acquisition.
Amazing LMS
What do you like best about the product?
The UI is very user-friendly and it's easy to explore the options. Love the Analytics feature.
What do you dislike about the product?
Having an option to customize the report fields would be great and Having Dashboards feature will also help.
