Great host for a customer learning platform
What do you like best about the product?
Skilljar gives us all the features we need to build our customer learning platform. It gives us plenty of options for creating our instructor-led courses and self-paced classes for customer training, with all the options you'd need. It provides a wide variety of lesson types for self-paced courses like you might expect, SCORM, video, text-based courses, etc. Also appreciate the analytics that are available.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface is occasionally challenging to navigate and not super intuitive. Settings you might expect to be in one menu location might be in a completely different part of the platform, so knowing where to go can occasionally be a challenge.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Skilljar allows our customers to choose the best training experience for them, whether self-paced courses on their own time or virtual instructor-led courses for a more personalized experience.
Expensive but worth the service!
What do you like best about the product?
A user-friendly dashboard that controls all the content and users of your academy/learning platform. Skilljar Academy hosts numerous courses that guide you to become familiar with the dashboard.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't anything I dislike particularly, but like any other SaaS product, I submitted some feature requests/enhancements to our CSM. Some are surveys, quiz enhancement for more interactive assessment, and easier coding platforms (those code snippets are so annoying to use).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Customer Education is often overlooked, but Skilljar helps you and the company understand its importance and how it affects the product's user experience and prevent churn.
Easy to implement, easy to use, and support is very responsive
What do you like best about the product?
Skilljar's platform is very easy to use--it was easy to implement and setup and it's easy to maintain. It also has a robust Salesforce integration which was critical for our needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
After crossing a certain threshold of content and audiences I find myself wishing that there were more options for organizing content visually on the backend. However, the exporting and filtering capabilities are solid so it's not a deal breaker.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Providing educational content in a way that is easy for customers to access and use. Skilljar's platform lets us provide training content that is more dynamic and engaging for our customers.
Easy to use, easy to navigate, and it's customizable to your look and feel.
What do you like best about the product?
As a user and as an admin, the system directs the functionality and is much simpler than other systems. The Help Center is exceptionally straightforward, and the directions are clear.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is no list of contacts to send out email blasts of new courses or updates, so our touches to our users could be more efficient through the platform. Also, at times, when creating courses and catalogs, though ultimately I figure out how to connect and publish, I feel that I toggle between Domains and Course Management tabs often and with no distinguished order to accomplish my task quicker.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a broad user base, from clinic users to employees. This platform allows tailoring to each type of user. The flexibility to theme our site to match our branding makes it a coherent system with our other on-brand items. The tracking of user completions and analytics has progressed in how we continue to use the system and engage our users to visit more often.
Easy to implement and fairly intuitive
What do you like best about the product?
With a fairly streamlined implementation process, we were up and running in a short time. The system is very powerful. We aren't using all of the features yet and there are many powerful features that we're planning on growing into. It is fairly intuitive once you understand how the course management and the catalog pages work together.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's a bit of a learning curve in understanding groups and students and how they work together. We have to use code snippets to perform some functions that aren't readily apparent. There are some things that we can't manipulate that we have to rely on the Skilljar team to do. The analytics dashboard could be a bit less clunky.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have been able to host all of our eLearning content in one platform. We can see what our customers are accessing and use analytics to learn more about our customers. We are definitely engaging more with our customers in an interactive way versus simply providing them with a knowledgebase.
Easy to use and great results
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to grant access to a certain set of users so internal and external users can check on specific user groups. The software I used previously did not allow our team to limit access for external users.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the menus are not very intuitive and it takes multiple clicks to find certain information. I would prefer it there were one-click options to take you to certain commonly used features, for example, all training records for a certain user. It is very hard to find the URL for a particular course you need to share - the URL should be clearly shown in the Details page for a course.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Skilljar allows me to quickly assemble, clone, and customize training courses for my users. It is easy to get training certificates and the integration with Salesforce allows us to centralize training completion data.
Amazingly versatile. Helping us scale to thousands of students
What do you like best about the product?
The platform is incredibly customizable and even has an API for automating tasks such as third party badging. More than anything, the Skilljar onboarding team is incredible - they set us up for success and proactively checked in with us for months, giving us constant advice on how to better our student experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
Very little to complain about. I'd love to see more features added to the API, such as the ability to manage users via the API.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Skilljar helps teams actualize their customer/internal education goals in a highly user-friendly way. The ability to group learners and set up custom automating grouping rules creates a very granular analytics report that has helped us act on optimizing our content. The flexibility of the platform has enabled us to set up "observer" users, such that we can enable third-party educators to view their students' progress in our learning content.
Very easy to use.
What do you like best about the product?
Flexibility and fully customizable iframes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Expensive, but I guess you get what you pay for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Their connections with other 3rd party systems is unmatched.
Easy to use LMS
What do you like best about the product?
User-friendly, captivating and very effective.
What do you dislike about the product?
Skilljar lacks social interactivity to some extent.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Skilljar LMS provides an option to download the uploaded SCORM/HTML content for admins and super admins. This, in turn, acts as a backup repository for e-Learning professionals.
The platform was user friendly!
What do you like best about the product?
Simplicity of use, analytics, course building
What do you dislike about the product?
Better analytics on qualitative data, the ability to have surveys within the course.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reducing our live in person sessions and the ability to offer on demand session to our customers across the globe.
