Automates Optimization, Needs Better UI
What do you like best about the product?
I love IBM Turbonomic for its powerful automation that significantly contributes to cost savings and guarantees application performance, which is crucial for my operations. It solves performance issues efficiently, reduces costs by eliminating unnecessary resources, and replaces the need for manual tuning with its automation capabilities. This not only saves me time and money but also reduces headaches, ensuring that my applications run smoothly and effectively. I appreciate how much it has enhanced the performance optimization and cost-saving strategies within my organization, making it a valuable tool in my toolkit.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the ease of setup to be an area that could use improvement. The UI design feels lacking and could be more intuitive. Additionally, the explanations for recommendations aren't as clear as I'd like, making it difficult to fully understand some automated suggestions. Integration with other tools and the reporting features also leave room for enhancement. Lastly, the pricing structure could be more straightforward and transparent.

IBM Turbonomic optimizes performance, reduces costs, and automates resource management, saving time and headaches while ensuring application performance.
Effortless Integration Across Multiple Cloud Providers
What do you like best about the product?
It integrate with different cloud providers easily like AWS, Azure, GCP, VMWare. Reduces cost using ML models.
What do you dislike about the product?
Price is high to use it. It itself consume lot of resources.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We faced most of the problem while autoscaling. Sometime we scale to high which increase overall infrastructure cost or sometime scale too low which increase latency. IBM Turbonomic solves this problem understanding application demand in real time and scale smarter.
Efficient Cloud Management with IBM Turbonomic, but Steep Learning Curve
What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate the ease of use and the frequency of use—it’s become part of our daily workflow. The number of features is impressive, and the platform’s recommendations make resource management much simpler. Ease of integration with our existing systems also saves us a lot of time, and the customer support has been very responsive whenever we had questions.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing I find a bit challenging about IBM Turbonomic is that there can be a learning curve for new users. It’s very powerful, but it takes some time to fully understand all the features and how to get the most out of them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
IBM Turbonomic helps us solve the challenge of managing complex cloud and on-prem environments. It automatically provides recommendations for resource optimization, helping us reduce costs, prevent performance issues, and avoid over-provisioning. This saves our team time, improves efficiency, and gives us confidence that our infrastructure is always running optimally.

It works for replacing DRS in VMware vSphere

What do you dislike about the product?
It would be really good if Turbonomic has more target, for instance:
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, IBM Cloud, Jira and more out-of-the-box dashboards.

What do you like best about the product?
Turbonomic gives you great insights in the use of resources in your datacenter and give a lot of advices to reduce resources en lower the costs.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are not realy things I dislike about Turbonomic

Reduces the number of used resources resulting in cost-, power,- and CO2 savings

The tool is capable of generating rightsizing recommendations even when developers and DevOps teams are only estimating resource requirements.
What do you dislike about the product?
The product currently only supports AWS, Azure, and GCP, which is limiting for those who use other cloud providers. Additionally, the absence of multi-currency support is a drawback.

The platform enables rightsizing of cloud resources based on the application's actual workload usage, rather than relying on guesswork or outdated methodologies. It also offers the flexibility to create policies tailored to individual applications.
Amazing tool
What do you like best about the product?
It helped me set up continuous monitoring for my applications. The beast feature i would say is the real time resource optimization.

High cost is the major disadvantage of this tool

Continuous monitoring and alerting. It informs me well on time about any errors

Ease of configurations and clarity of monitored data
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of a trial version even with the possibility of testing only small targets. Without the license, we basically cannot test.

In the clarity of which points to improve within the infrastructure, seeking the best performance and better use of existing resources.
