What do you like best about the product?
The video to Anypoint studio interaction was a great way for a beginner level developer to climb the ladder and get a solid understanding of how the platform works. Overall it was a great experience!
What do you dislike about the product?
There were some inconsistencies with the videos and the current version of Anypoint. The forums helped troubleshoot along with the team of colleuges I had that took the class with me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are testing the waters on the software itself. We have seen MuleSoft in client environments and are looking to gain a better understanding of how MuleSoft works and how we can use it in future implementations.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
There are some bugs with the system it seems, but overall they can be fixed with iterations and maturity of the software. I think you are on the right track! Keep up the good work, thank you for the video / hands on training it is very useful!

What do you like best about the product?
The drag and drop feature is very intuitive to work. Has everything that we need in ESB. Since it is based on Java, its a natural progression to Mule ESB. The very active community and the less time it takes to get your project in market is amazing.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the newer versions do not work as expected, need support in this case.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are integrating many in house applications of the enterprise and the features provided by Mule ESB suit us very much. So there are many benefits like, less time to market, easier build process, simple to customize, and support to SOA.

What do you like best about the product?

Comprehensive tools/pallets for integration, save time of developer.
Ready to use elements - No other integration tool offers such detailed and wide range of elements.
Data weave for mapping without writing complex xslt logic.
GUI with configuration xml - easy to make changes in the flow.
Segregation of administration and developer interface
What do you dislike about the product?
Need to know JAVA to be an expert in Mulesoft.
Since it is based on spring framework, sometimes to many directories to manage just for simple integration.
Lengthy process to develop api and deployment to the portal and configuring endpoint. Not easy to track the mistake.
As Anypoint Studio is very comprehensive tool, smaller integration projects may not be able to fully utilize the power of the tool.
One jar missing and you are dead.
Hard to understand the log for non Java user.
Documentation is good but can be better with more examples.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Mulesoft Overview

  • December 23, 2016
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The adoption of an integration software needs alignment with the business in order to success is not new. But having the possibility to decouple into many APIs layers the requirement of the business until you get the full solution , disengaging all the systems that are interacting , is the best thing I found in Mulesoft.
It's natural to behave like this with this software, do don't have to force it.
The debug feature is one of the best things the tool is providing.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Anypoint studio is still with some bugs. Some tips are always required in order to have finished your goals developing flows. But that is something that you get use in this kind of software.
A better QA for the Studio could be a good addition.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sales, ETL, Mobile backeds, and some Middleware integrations between large ERP with some satellite systems.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Improve the QA into the Studio.

Brilliant, Easy access to complex integration solutions.

  • December 22, 2016
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The Anypoint Platform is a full integration and API suite; you have all the tools that you need, development, test, operation, monitoring and if you go for cloud also analysis tools. You also have an option for a PaaS with Cloudhub, including a free account so you can start testing right away.

Then there is the visual representation of integrations, which makes it possible to get a nice overview of the integrations.

It is often possible to get a minimal working prototype in a matter of hours, and not months so thumbs up.
What do you dislike about the product?
Well, not everything is fluffy pink clouds, or in this case fluffy blue clouds.
In real life, integrations are not as simple as all the examples show.

The tools from Mulesoft are in rapid development, some of it is, of course, bug fixing. So you have to be careful not to do updates headlessly because some updates break functionality.

For Anypoint Studio, the consequence is that some functionality is not always working. I have especially seen this when working on Linux.

The Mule Runtime Engine is also hit by this sometimes, but Mulesoft is quite good to fix this in an acceptable timeframe.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have solved many kinds of problems using Mulesoft. Anything from simple data mappings and transformations to exposing complex systems through API's and synchronizing data between systems.

The benefit here as mentioned earlier is that you can get a minimum solution running very fast, this is a great feature when working with agile development.

The visual representation is also a great benefit, and especially the option to export documentation is saving me, a lot of time working as a consultant.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are working alone:
- Know Java

If you are working in teams:
- Be sure that someone included in the project working with Mule have decent Java skills.
- Be sure to have a proper development strategy.
- USE MAVEN - Very important
- USE VERSIONING - Very important
