Excellent integration tool-set which works for both on-premise and cloud!

  • February 21, 2017
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
MuleSoft gets what are really required for today's integration. They have created an integration toolset which works both for on-premise and cloud. This is one of the biggest strengths of Mulesoft over other integration vendors.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it was .net based but sadly it is a java based. Still, it supports development .net as well. Truly, targeting to be platform and language agnostic.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With MuleSoft, I can focus on solving business matters instead of integration requirements as the tool-set makes it so easy.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't look elsewhere, this is the best integration tool-set available in the market atm.

An excellent Integration platform

  • February 18, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Getting started with Mule is relatively easy especially with the online training which brings developers up to an basic level of competency.

It is very flexible with many ways of achieving the same result and can other technologies such as xslt and maven were required.

The tool is continually evolving and with Anypoint Platform and CloudHub, it is now much more than just an ESB - it is truly a complete, Enterprise-level, Integration platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
Advanced mastery of this tool is no-so-easy and complex integrations require a good degree of knowledge. Mulesoft do seem to suggest it is easier than it is.

The IDE also does have some issues (eg. can be slow and does have some bugs) but these are getting less as newer versions are released..
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The complete integration of multiple systems and with the logging and monitoring capabilities, troubleshooting issues and identifying where issues are occurring is not an onerous task.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The functionality is continually improving. It should be possible to achieve just about everything you require from a cloud-based Integration platform.

Let Mule and Anypoint platform help you with your integration challenges

  • February 13, 2017
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The learning curve for making your integrations is very low, with the Anypoint Studio development environment must of the development are visual unless it is some complicated integrations you are building.

There are many connectors out of the box, and if the connector you need doesn't exist in the default setup, you can go to the exchange (which is part of the Anypoint platform) to see if others have built what you need both Mulesoft and third party develop connectors.
If you have to build your connector, it is pretty easy to do so, with the DevKit tool.

The Anypoint platform has the best online community, with a lot of people willing to help you out if you are stuck with some issues you can post questions on the Anypoint forum or StackOverflow and within hours sometimes minutes, there is someone to help you. If you for some reason don’t get any help there is a comprehensive online documentation with a lot of examples.
What do you dislike about the product?
There can be many updates to Anypoint Studio; you should be careful before you update because it might break your code and give you some extra work that you did not expect

Anypoint point is a comprehensive tool, so it can be quite a task to setup and build small, simple integration, here you could be better off with a more lightweight tool

Sometimes when deploying to the Runtime through the MMC console, it can’t clean up then you have to clean up manually(delete files and folders) to make the Deploy work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
You have to know Java to get the best out of Anypoint development, but for simple integration you can get pretty long with only use of the build in connectors and some XML, and for transformation you can use Dreamweaver, but all in all you must know Java if you will build any complex integrations using Anypoint platform and Mule.

Know Maven and Spring are also a thing that can make your life easier building your integration with Anypoint platform development, but not a must.

Do your homework, what license do you need to accomplish your integration can you just use the community version, or have you use for High availability, clustering so you should consider an enterprise license.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You have to know Java to get the best out of Anypoint development, but for simple integration you can get pretty long with only use of the build in connectors and some XML, and for transformation you can use Dreamweaver, but all in all you must know Java if you will build any complex integrations using Anypoint platform and Mule.

What do you like best about the product?
What I like the most about anypoint platform is its easy to use interface. Everything is xml based so learning curve is less. Besides other language like Java, Groovy, Python etc are also supported. The Mule Expression Language is one of the best expression languages. Overall its a full proof platform with a good quality.
What do you dislike about the product?
Connector creation should be made much more simpler. The community edition contribution document should be easier to understand.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Integrating systems with huge data with salesforce and vice versa.
