Mule
What do you like best about the product?
Anypoint Platform is a very cool integration product that make easier the developer's work and allow a better communication between business analyst, that design the APIs, and developers, that implement the APIs.
Also the DevOps integration is very very good.
Also the DevOps integration is very very good.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cloud version doesn't support the clustering, that is very useful in some use cases and sometimes it's not very clear what's happening during a deploy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Time spent on developments is much less than with other product used before and the customer has a better idea of what's going on because he can clearly understand what structure is needed in the request and what is returned in the response.

At the moment quite basic tasks, but as soon as our other systems will be more open we can do a lot of magic.

MuelSoft Anypoint platform
What do you like best about the product?
The flexibility for either cloud based rapid deployment or the detailed, controllable on-premise installation options, with hybrid as an option for gradual migration from one to the other.
Standards based development is a great help (Java, JSON, XML, Apache commons and other open source).
The exchange system makes it easy to get pre-built components and patterns.

What do you dislike about the product?
A historic lack of published best practice. There is a lot of documentation designed to get one off the ground with the basics but anything beyond takes some effort. So from basic to intermediate there is quite a bit of coverage but from moderate to experiences a lot of it figure it out for yourself. This is being addressed though with the Mule Champions program and their output, Mule Summits and potentially the MuleSoft M2 best practice due soon.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Real world problems of achieving the creative business vision empowered leaders of today seek to realise. New solutions on inexpensive mobile platforms integrating with core business data in realtime with syncronisation for offline. Realtime management of IoT field tools.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Have a few simple to implement quick wins which you can build on ready to go with so you can use immediately, fail fast and get some organisational experience which will hopefully translate into proficiency before embarking on your killer idea and suite of integration product output to achieve it.
Mule a light weight but heavy impact ESB

Excellent Integration and API Management Platform
What do you like best about the product?
Below are some of the features that I like the most
API designer, it is user friendly design environment with the powerful feature of testing the APIs long before the start of actual implementation.
APIKit, gets you started with the implementation quickly by doing a lot trivial work upfront.
Ability to deploy same the applications on-prem and in cloud is amazing.
Batch processing capabilities, very handy for solving the ETL type problems.
Anypoint Exchange, it is one of the distinguishing feature for the other competitors.

What do you dislike about the product?
The development IDE, The Anypoint Studio is primarily targeted for the developers/people with development background, which is great for solving medium to high complexity integration problems. It lacks the ease of use required by the citizen integrator for solving simpler problems.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our customer is working on an API strategy program whereby they are trying to unlock the access to the data stored in legacy on-prem applications. They also have some cloud based applications which they want to seamlessly integrate with. The challenge was to propose an integration architecture which could allow the hybrid integration and deployment model without compromising the security. The Mulesoft Anypoint platform was the perfect fit because of the flexibility around the deployment strategies and a good level of support for security standards.

The availability of 120 Connectors and the feature to implement REST Services.

What do you like best about the product?
Mulesoft is a great ESB and for APIs it is just simply awesome. I love using mulesoft and one can achieve whatever one want with mulesoft it is so flexible and easy to use. A great software and for SFDC, NETSuite and any service with REST or SOAP it is just the only thing one can need. and moreover certifications and training and all the material is quite readily available on the web so it is good if one does not have much experience in the field. All the services of mulesoft that I have used it didn't let me down.
