What do you like best about the product?
A well documented and user friendly tool. You have completed control over your API Suite. Starting with development to testing your APIs and monitoring through real time graphical representation.
It gives total control on what type authentications needs to be done and how all can see what information
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel performance of tool could have been better. It behaves weird at times. A full understanding of the tool is not an easy job as you have so many functionalities embedded.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Application of API led connectivity on B2B messages .working mainly on the REST API creation and unit testing. Making use of Partner Manager Portal and configurations on top of it.
Unit testing and monitoring of all the transactions is pretty easy job.
With Partner manager's different and relevant sections trading partner configurations and managing the transactions and data mapping is really nice
Recommendations to others considering the product:
A good tool to learn and complete tool for a developer with total control and no dependency on others

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Just have a try and EOD you will think the time has come to migrate/move to Mule

Sometimes i believe its very unstable just because some connectors are not compatible with the version which it interacts with various different components.

Not sure whom we need to contact when all of dev partner portal comes down
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Learning to use the Anypoint Platform

  • June 08, 2017
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Anypoint Studio is very familiar to an Eclipse user. The GUI is very easy to use and fairly consistent. The platform itself gives a nice flow to designing, building, deploying, and testing an API.
What do you dislike about the product?
The platform website can be tough to log into. Often times it will fall into a login loop constantly refreshing and not delivering you to the Anypoint Platform landing page.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Building integrations with backend systems already in place. The platform as an ESB provides a great way to manage applications and the data they require.

What do you like best about the product?
whole lot of connectors provided, all most all types of i.e. Cassandra & many more new ones. It also provided way to write your own connectors & components as per business needs. Very flexible framework.
What do you dislike about the product?
Dataweave part is a bit complicated & some times Exceptions are a bit tricky.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Anypoint Studio is a complete IDE which has Ecllipse base along with configured standalone Mule server to deploy & test the application.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
A good Framework & good IDE on top of it to develop Middleware code for integration.

Integration, collaboration made easy - it is Mulesoft for you.

What do you like best about the product?
Huge no of connectors for different source system
Easy of use
Highly customizable (you can use scripting languages)
Single point for all activities - configuration, deployment, execution
What do you dislike about the product?
Scheduler - I won't say I don't like it. Instead it could have been better. The logs generated through should be more verbose (similar to how we get logs in Informatica).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Business problems we are solving:
1. Integration of more than one system into common platoform
2. ETL functionality

Benefits:
1. It is one for all kind of system. You don't need separate systems for integration, ETL and so on. You can tweak mulesoft and make it work for all your needs.
2. Common platform for master data management
3. It really serves purpose of Enterprise service Bus.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I will surely recommend to others based on following metrics.
Huge no of connectors for different source system
Easy of use
Highly customizable (you can use scripting languages)
Single point for all activities - configuration, deployment, execution

However, before finalizing we should look for all possible options and do the evaluation. Sometimes Apache Kafka can also play a vital role as per needs.

Anypoint Platform Experience - for a Novice

  • June 01, 2017
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The Tool really is does a great job when it comes to API Design(RAML), Documentation - using the features for exposing the details to Consumer using API Portal. API Notebook is another cool feature where I am yet to explore many things.
What do you dislike about the product?
Design Time Governance is lacking. If the API Design Lifecycle is also available then the enforcement of Design Time Governance will be great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Rapid integration with provider systems
