Ease of development with mule
What do you like best about the product?
API Led approach is the best part of the mulesoft. Anypoint platforms along with anypoint studio provide the best way to develop an application with simulation in minimum time. so development lifecycle will be very effectively worked. All the mule connectors are also very easy to use and helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
for connector development in mule 4, there are many issues regarding anypoint studio workspace. as any changes in code may not be reflected back to the application in which we have used that connector for testing by adding maven dependency of it. Sometimes control z is also not working in anypoint studio.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using API led approch development life cycle will be effectively fast compared to a normal approach as the design and development phase both provides simulations.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
API Manager is also a good feature along with auto-discovery.

Best among all its competitor
What do you like best about the product?
First and foremost is its capability of integration using a variety of connectors.
Secondly, the transformation is just so simple, we can use xml, json and java for it.
Thirdly, its all-rounder. It has everything which you needs to start from scratch and deploy on cloudhub.

What do you dislike about the product?
The functions used in transformation connector should be prompted automatically.
RAML should be designed and complied within the anypoint studio.

Basically, it is used to solve business problems where integration needs to be done between a legacy system and salesforce.

The perfect platform for iPaas
What do you like best about the product?
This is the place where you can, design, verify, develop, deploy and monitor your APIs as well as application within a scalable infrastructure
What do you dislike about the product?
API Designer is could have been much better by way of some UI designer tool through you could specify the elements you would wish to select on the header front and rest you could create as you wish again via some UI. It does seem a bit difficult to achieve but it could be very helpful for API designers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest issue that we normally face is developing a design and prototype it to demo to users and verify if its ok, This is made easier thanks to API Portals. Also scalability is no more a headache because of Cloudhub.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would suggest you to try/switch to Anypoint Platform if you are looking for a complete iPaas solution

What do you like best about the product?
It is an awesome experience with anypoint platform. We liked the concept of API led Connectivity very much. Also happy that we are getting frequent updates for both of the anypoint platform and studio
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing as such. But now when i am working with enum inside the raml then i am getting error while using it with connector
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Client based projects over cloudhub and on premises
Design APIs on the fly
What do you like best about the product?
Design Center. Design APIs and test them easily without being dependent on heavyweight IDEs.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the compilation and deployment a bit slow, even if the Mule application is just a simple one.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
N/A. No actual application yet since I'm only using Anypoint Platform for training.
Fantastic ESB that simplifies API development
What do you like best about the product?
Initially I was a bit hesitant as I'm a .NET based developer, so moving to a different platform for API development had me concerned. After completing the free Developer course, I felt a bit more confident, but still was left wanting to see the potential of the platform. With a proof-of-concept application, we were able to transition from design to build to integration in a matter of days, not weeks or even months. It was impeccable, and the flows just; well, they flowed. Everything is straightforward, and there is still so much that I haven't tapped into in regards to its potential.
What do you dislike about the product?
At the moment? Nothing. The training 'could' be improved to include testing, but honestly having a basic understanding of unit testing in any framework is sufficient to generate useful tests (and also, auto-generating tests from flows is fantastic!).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using the Anypoint platform for developing our API infrastructure as part of a digital transformation program, using the pace-layer approach. Having read the Mulesoft whitepaper about different designs, we were able to identify the pace-layer as the most applicable to our scenario. We've been able to design the API in the design centre, publish to exchange with a mock endpoint and have validation occur concurrently as a build process takes place. Once the build has been completed, we've been able to deploy up and have the API called and implemented in end-user applications. Absolutely loving the object stores, flow references (for clear, concise flows), and we are investigating implementing AMQP.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Get onto it. The support team has helped a colleague immensely in getting preparations done, and there is constant work being done to improve the platform (when we started it was 4.1.2, and now it's 4.1.5). There is ample support in forums, MuleSoft provide free courses to get acquainted with the platform, and although it feels like moving to a more graphically-based development environment could be detrimental, it's actually amazing.
Mulesoft is the tool for many jobs
What do you like best about the product?
I do like the ability to write API endpoint quickly and easily. It has tons of ability for writing system integration.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike Anypoint Studio. It crashes all the time. Mulesoft has been a hard learning curve and then Studio is buggy compounding the confusion in many cases. Mulesoft should not need to have Jenkins as a separate installation. It should include it's own deployment tool that you could replace if you choose. Getting the environments set up is really way harder than it should be. The monitoring shouldn't be at platnum level cost.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Integrations with 3rd party partners. EDI, WorkDay, Motus, BI tools, MS LDAP Graph, SalesForce.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
There is a big commitment to getting the product setup needed and much training that is needed. It will take some time to get setup. Ask others what their first year was like and how long it took them to get the first application into production. Be ready for reality. A very successful experience can be had if you put the time in to both set up and understand the product and development process. Jenkins was something I wasn't expecting to have to install and configure as the sales presentation showed simple deployments to anypoint. We have had challenges using certificate and working with partners.
A complete product
What do you like best about the product?
Documentation and Support from Mulesoft is just amazing. Its a one stop shop.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to have a mobile app for the documentation which I can read anytime to learn more about the capabilities and possibilities in Mulesoft Platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating a suite of API for Australia's biggest entertainment company, Foxtel.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Go for it, its a complete product in it own.
