On-Premise to GCP Migration

  • April 14, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We used Megaport to connect our data center to Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and it made a huge difference in our migration process. The setup was quick and easy, and we were up and running in no time.

One of the best features is how easy it is to adjust bandwidth. We could increase it during busy migration periods, then lower it when things settled down—saving both time and money.

Megaport gave us a fast, flexible, and reliable connection to GCP. It helped us move faster and simplified what could have been a complicated process.

Highly recommend it for anyone moving to the cloud or working in a hybrid setup.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be helpful to have the option to split charges across multiple purchase orders (POs) instead of being limited to just one. The current setup has caused some challenges with our internal finance process, especially when managing budgets across different departments or projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Speed on installing and flexiblily of bandwidh increase and decrease.

Seemless cloud-agnostic connectivity at down to earth prices

  • April 11, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Megaport has been an invaluable asset to our cloud strategy.
Their cloud-agnostic approach allows us to connect to multiple providers seamlessly, providing the flexibility we need. The capacity and reliability of their service have been excellent, ensuring our data flows smoothly.
The team at Megaport is incredibly helpful, approachable, and dynamic.
They've consistently provided excellent support and have been quick to respond to our needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Really hard to think of a negative. Often I find that their offerings identify flaws in data centre relationships. E.g. Megaport offer their ports for as short as 1 month but cross connects at most data-centres carry a 12 month term.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Megaport connects us to any of the big cloud service providers in all of our offices globally so we may consume short term compute when we don't have sufficient resources on premise.
We've come to depend on this in some of our larger sites as it allows us to ebb and flow with client demand.

Great Value and Easy Setup

  • April 11, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Getting started with Megaport was super easy—implementation was quick, and everything worked right out of the gate. We use it regularly to manage cloud connectivity, and it’s been smooth all the way through.

Integration with our existing setup was straightforward, with no major hiccups. The platform is intuitive, the pricing is great, and support is always there when needed.

Overall, it’s been a solid experience. Simple to implement, easy to integrate, and something we rely on often.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, there’s not much to dislike. If anything, the interface could use a bit more polish in a few areas, and some advanced features might take a bit of digging to find. But overall, nothing that’s been a dealbreaker or caused real issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Direct connectivity to Wasabi storage at low latency and high speeds

Simple and cost effective

  • April 11, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use, and the reach. All major datacenters in the world is connected. We can literally build networks all over the globe in minutes at a fraction of the cost without any committments.
What do you dislike about the product?
Cost of connecting Australia is quite expensive. However all communications to Australia is expensive so it's not only them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can spin up links between our datacenters. If we have very large transfers we can temporarily increase our bandwidth and then decrease it after the transfer is done, and we only pay for the extra bandwidth during that time.

We can also provision edges around the world.

It also a very easy way for us to connect to different clouds around the world.

What do you dislike about the product?
This is how other services should build and support their products. No negatives.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
