Hidden Gem in any online business marketing strategy
What do you like best about the product?
Personally, I love the reports they generate which help us make key marketing idea decisions which we roll out on our sites each quarter.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think they could improve the way videos for readers are displayed like a YouTube grid instead of the current format. That's about it.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would go thru the onboarding and sales process as it is eye opening on how they can help your marketing team.

What do you like best about the product?
It makes our lives much easier and as they are verified users, its genuine. There's nothing to hide, which promotes good partnership.
What do you dislike about the product?
Doesn't always have every solution / every product.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Add to it. As this platform is all about reviews from the real life community, it gets better with the more active community members contribute to the site.
Continue to monitor it. Similar to Yelp or Glassdoor or other review sites, it can provide great insights into the health of your business.

Add another channel to your inbound marketing
What do you like best about the product?
G2 Crowd gets great traffic, even in my company's lesser known product category. By pushing the pageviews to Slack via Zapier the entire sales and marketing team can easily get a sense of how many people are landing on our page every day. It's between 10-15. G2C isn't a huge source of demo requests, but the awareness from this website is good.

What do you dislike about the product?
It's impossible (or at least very hard) to quantify the ROI. You can track your demo requests from G2C in Salesforce and measure that ROI, but I think the true value of G2C lies in the TOFU brand awareness you get from people viewing your page. And the data you get about your pageviews is not good. You're handed IP addresses that get matched against a spotty database (e.g. you will see a lot of "Comcast LLC viewed your page") and that's it. Without refining that data to the individual lead level, it's hard to give real attribution value to the pageviews you see on G2C. Maybe it's a great first touch channel, but you'll never really know.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use this as another web property to source inbound interest. It seems to capture a different group of people than our main website does.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Get us an easy to use API so that we can hook it up to enrichment vendors like LeadLander, etc. We need to be able to see the ROI on pageviews. Without getting us this ROI data, there is an upper limit on how much we will pay for G2C. Adding it would allow us to pay more.
When I have requests that require the help of a product or engineering team, the turnaround can be between a few days to a week or so. It would be great to speed up the cross-functional questions.

Helpful service & meaningful content
What do you like best about the product?
Their customer service is excellent. No question goes unanswered for long. They always provide a prompt and thorough response.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the predefined page set ups. For example, the word "software" is at the end of our product name. The product is a software but the sentence sounds odd with software at the end.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Better engagement with our end users. G2 Crowd is a great outlet for customers and partners to provide unbiased feedback that we can use to improve our technology. It also helps us potential customers make more informed decisions about their technology investments.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take advantage of learning what content from G2 Crowd can be leveraged elsewhere and how to best use it early on. We are still in the process of doing this but the G2 Crowd team has been very helpful in educating us on this.
Good Review Platform
What do you like best about the product?
G2 Crowd is a great review platform that allow prospects to educate themselves about software by reading the experience of other users. We include review snippets on our Customers Success Stories website page and email campaigns.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much really, the account managers are very helpful and open to feedback. It can be a bit pricey for small business, but not above market rate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Educate prospects on how the product was received by others, and what improvement users have noticed over time.
Solid results from G2 Crowd
What do you like best about the product?
G2 offers a powerful medium for our software users to share their experience with the world. We're able to differentiate ourselves and provide references to potential new customers prior to ever engaging with them.

There is nothing about the solution that we do not like

We are able to attract new customers who are looking for the best HCM software because our current customers have validated their success stories. G2 Crowd is our "references" for potential new customers.

I have no dislikes with G2 at this time.

It enables us to build brand equity and more effectively compete against larger companies. If you're an established company with a loyal customer base, you're ideally positioned to optimize your G2 Crowd investment.

More awareness from those looking for event solution. Just not always the right people.

It depends on if you have enough competitors that are signed up on G2 Crowd. If not, It's basically a glorified review tool for branding and awareness.
G2 Crowd is a Great Resource for Customer Testimonials
What do you like best about the product?
G2 Crowd provides an easy-to-use service that allows our customers to quickly create testimonials and describe their use. It's a great resource for prospective customers researching emergency notification software. We often use it in our email marketing to prospective customers.
What do you dislike about the product?
Since we don't use the portal on a regular basis, it can be challenging at times to know where everything is at and how to make changes. It would be great if as an admin I could select a series of reviews that I'd like to highlight and make them available on our website. It would be great to see a G2 Crowd brand-free RSS feed that would allow us to publish testimonials to our website.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
G2 Crowd is the service that we use for capturing our customer testimonials. Since it's a 3rd party service,
it's a place that our customers can use to provide their honest opinions. It's independent of our website, so prospective customers can get objective reviews and hear directly from a wide spectrum of people that are already using our software. This service is easy to set-up and use. We've had a lot of success in having our customers use it to submit reviews.

What do you like best about the product?
From an ender user's perfective g2 crowd provides unbiased and "real world" facts for those in the process of selecting a Saas product . From a Vendor Perspective, the quality and consistency of leads we have received is very much above average .

the lead scoring for the reports is heavily influenced by volume rather than quality .
