Practical, but has some bugs
What do you like best about the product?
A mobile app with multiple login methods, and the ability to override when I'm on the company network
What do you dislike about the product?
An update of the application (android) I lost my configuration, which required me to set up everything again. I don't use it anymore because of the crashes I encountered
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Enhanced security
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is a good product, which is easy to set up and use. The product was still a little "young" when I used it; if it has improved and the defects encountered have been corrected, I recommend it.
Easy integration with watchguard product
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to setup, comprehensive client for customer
What do you dislike about the product?
Authpoint gateway run on Windows only, add linux platform will be fine
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
stronger security for external (mobile VPN) access to the network
Authpoint Review - Billy Ladd
What do you like best about the product?
The additional security of MFA for both VPN and Cloud wifi management.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally do not see a notification from the application. I have had to navigate to the application a few times to approve request.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Eliminating the risk of users intentionally or unintentionally gaining access to the wifi management console.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you have a smart phone, I don't see any reason why you shouldn't setup MFA today.
Fine when it works but has issues
What do you like best about the product?
The interface and ease of initial setup along with the login app for Windows PCs.
What do you dislike about the product?
The method of MFA with Office 365 is incredibly cumbersome to the point we have switched to Azure MFA for email. We have experienced multiple errors that have left users unable to access their PCs and support has been poor. Sometimes taking up to 24hr to resolve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It does a decent job of securing the user’s desktop systems but not much else.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Look elsewhere.
Authpoint is a great MFA with a great pricepoint
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about authpoint is that you cannot "save" the one time password codes as they are being invalidated when they switch, this is not the case for example DUO where the OTP is active even after a new one is generated.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you have office365 federated it requires hands on management to each user after they have enrolled.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Increased security since MFA is the minimum requirement to have a baseline.
Easy to use.
What do you like best about the product?
I don't have to actually open the app to approve the request.
What do you dislike about the product?
The user interface (web side) is not intuitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've been able to connect multiple people to our network from many different locations allowing people to work from home. This is a huge money saver.
Young Two Factor Authority
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use.
Easy to integrate.
End-User experience has been received very positively from the technical team as well as the call center / non technical teams and executives.
Updates have shown the Devs are listening and moving towards an even better product.

What do you dislike about the product?
Cloud UI can be convoluted and has some issues when trying to administrate. Overall these are pretty common issues with cloud UI's I have experienced. The updates they've made have shown they're progressing forward and not making it more of a mess however.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed Two-Factor on our VPN, this solved our issues. We are also expanding this to be a more seamless signle sign-on experience for the end-users, which is also possible with this. It is also very affordable by comparing other companies to Watchguard.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The integration follows industry standards and very streamlined/easy to do. The cloud administration UI has some clunky feeling to it, but is pretty typical of most cloud UI's these days. Overall even if we didn't use Watchguard Firewalls i would use this for Two Factor for the ease, app, and overall integration setup and end-user experience.
AuthPoint is simplistic and effective.
What do you like best about the product?
AuthPoint allows our company 2FA at a reasonable price. It was easy to setup and ongoing support is very straight forward.
What do you dislike about the product?
I really do not dislike anything about the product. It works exactly as advertised.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
AuthPoint provides another layer of security to our VPN login process, making it much more difficult for a bad actor to breach our network if an Active Directory UN/PW is compromised.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
For the security, ease of use and setup, I do not think the price can be beat! This solution is a no-brainer when paired with other WatchGuard services like a firebox and IPSec NCP VPN Client.
Useful and Well Designed.
What do you like best about the product?
AuthPoint MFA has been an extremely useful tool for our organization. We needed a way to provide two factor authentication for our staff and we needed a short turnaround. The ease of use and easy to deploy setup of AuthPoint MFA helped us to achieve this goal quickly and securely.
What do you dislike about the product?
When a user loses their secondary device or has to switch for maintenance or hardware fault reasons, it can sometimes be difficult to migrate the AuthPoint user profile to a new device. A simple and effective way of downloading the app on a new device and migrating the users tokens or profiles would be helpful!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed to quickly configure a VPN solution for our users and we were hesitant to do so without a solid MFA option in place. AuthPoint solved this problem for us with extremely quick turnaround.
A simple approach to an additional layer of protection
What do you like best about the product?
I have been using AuthPoint for over 12 months and have found it to be very simple to use. Being able to use the mobile app to replace some other 3rd party apps is handy, and even better is the ability to customise the entries in the app with logo and description. I like the additional layer of protection MFA provides my identity too.
Whether I'm connected to the Internet, or working offline, AuthPoint has been simple, reliable and user friendly.

What do you dislike about the product?
The product is certainly still maturing so there are naturally some missing features however I believe these are in the roadmap for development and will be delivered soon enough. There's really nothing I dislike about AuthPoint though.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Providing simple MFA to protect my network login identity and device. Allows me to reduce the need for regular password changes (but still keep it complex). I have a high level of confidence in my security profile, and that of my company
