Simple software for MFA that is frequently reliable
What do you like best about the product?
It's better than most competitors in terms of reliability. Previous softwares I've used have crashed frequently which can be a hassle when MFA is a major part of your work software system.
What do you dislike about the product?
The design of the app isn't exactly user intuitive and can take some getting used to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our company needs to ensure that the correct users are logging in to portals with private information. It's imperative that we use an MFA service like AuthPoint to ensure that we're keeping client information private.
Very easy to set up and can be used for various environments
What do you like best about the product?
The console is in the cloud, it is easy to manage and configure, integration with the active directory. Recommended for all types of businesses.
What do you dislike about the product?
It needs to integrate with some environments like Linux and Mac.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have improved access security to our environments both via VPN and on work devices.
Best Authentication App
What do you like best about the product?
The authentication app is simply the best on the market. You can register not only watchguard authpoint tokens but many others such as Facebook, GMail, GitHub, and so on. Besides, you can lock your tokens under the fingerprint/PIN authentication so they won't be compromised if your smartphone get stolen while unlocked. Very clever!
What do you dislike about the product?
It could have a dark theme (perhaps an OLED dark theme) but this is just cosmetics.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lots of costumers want the AuthPoint so they can better secure their legacy applications that doesn't offer any kind of MFA. Another great usage is for customers that must increase the authentication security over the company's devices such as PC or MAC (beta) notebooks
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The biggest feature of this product is that you can work with lots of authentication protocols (such as SAML or OAuth) and your user still can use their services onto the app. The push notification works as a charm even with smartwatches. Ask for a trial and find for yourself!
Authpoint enables users to use MFA principles easily on daily basis on platform-independent devices
What do you like best about the product?
Authpoint can be installed either on iPhones or Android devices. Its online and also offline authentication features enable users to login anywhere and anytime, regardless the internet connection in easy and convenient way. There is more than one authentication option - Push, QR Scan, One Time Password, from which any user can pick the one, that suites the most. What truly suprised me, was a swift time response of the application itself, ranging from 1-3 seconds, depending on connection and type of authentication. The token system and its dynamic management possibilities help the administrator to quickly manage and solve potencial issues with authentication. And the important advantage is that you can the App is tightly connected to a specific device, which mitigate potencial theft.
What do you dislike about the product?
At first, there were some issues with first login via Authpoint into computers, because at first authentication attempt, the internet connection is always needed. Also, on some virtual OS Windows machines, when the timezone/time was not correctly set, authentication was not possible through some authentication options, but it was quickly solved by Watchguard Support.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were through some minor issues with Authpoint not showing pop-ups when a device was locked and the user wanted to authenticate, but it turned out, it was due bad notification settings on Android OS. The pros are simple, we are now able to deploy MFA for the whole company swiftly, since the solution is cloud-based.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you or your company look for easy-to-use and easy-to-deploy MFA solution, then Authpoint is the way.
Simply the best, easy to implement and use
What do you like best about the product?
The Admin Surface. It´s so easy and intuitive to use and
the APP which I can also use for other systems like Amazon, Facebook or Google.

Well what should I say if I have no Point that I dislike ... nothing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Because we have customer sensitive datas on our systems we need an secure access to our systems. Equal to logon to the Notebook or using the VPN. With AuthPoint the implemantion and the use is so easy. We love the APP and the usage.
Best MFA for SMB
What do you like best about the product?
Administrators does not need too much knowledge to manage WatchGuard's MFA product. Ideal solution for small and medium sized enterprises, no hardware requirements. Cloud based management, simple LDAP/AD integration and sync, great user experience with mobile-based token and push-notifications.
What do you dislike about the product?
3rd party hardware tokens are not supported yet as well as MacOS Logon App (Dec/2018). It is also complicated to disable MFA for specific user in case that user forgot his smartphone (for VPN authentication for example). AuthPoint gateway software is supported on Windows platform only.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our company is Value-Add Distributor and many people works remotely. AuthPoint gave us an opportunity to increase security for mobile users in very simple and intuitive way. The key benefit is mobile token, which is easy to install, activate and use. I also use AuthPoint App for my other personal tokens, like Google or Facebook.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If your are looking for easy to manage MFA solution with low TCO, AuthPoint is a great solution for you. It is easy to setup, easy to manage within WatchGuard Cloud platform and most importantly, easy to use with AuthPoint Mobile App. You can also use AuthPoint as a IdP solution for your SAML integrations, which is great opportunity to secure access to your company's cloud applications, such as Salesforce, O365, Dropbox etc.
Easy to use and more secure then classic 2FA variants
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to set up. In addition, the method is safer than a 2fa using sms. In addition, we also want to secure the login process for the client systems with Authpoint. Unfortunately, the user passwords are far too rarely changed and the complexity is too low. Authpoint also helps here.
What do you dislike about the product?
Unfortunately, not all customers are willing to pay for this service, which means that it can not be used everywhere. It takes a bit of training before the system is implemented, but you get good support from both the manufacturer and the partners.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Securing access to our servers by unauthorized persons.

What do you like best about the product?
It's working process.It works properly in all features.

Device are getting slow most of the time.

The configuration is complicated, need many steps to finish. I hope in future WG can work with more 3rd parties to integrate and require less steps to use.

I am working on the MFA for VPN and AD authentication, more and more organizations require advanced security to avoid the traditional authentication. They also ask if WG can work with some banks, paypal...

What do you like best about the product?
Like the fact it’s easy to search for (Auth). The time from hitting the app to the view of the codes is generally pretty quick.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are time when the load up time is slower than usually, but other than that nothing really is wrong

Maximizing security utilizing OTPA is great.
