Saving the backend dev effort
What do you like best about the product?
Lambda test provides easy interface where I can add my test apk and start any device of my choice. Its like an emulator but better, since I am able to see all the various interactions of the app from the backend service. Every thing is logged in the network tab and the curl can be copied with a single click.
As a backend dev its tough for me to reachout to front end folks to ask what apis are being called from various components of the app.

What do you dislike about the product?
The app crashes frequently and the device also restarts in middle of testing and tab switch from logs to network logs.
Everytime a new device boots up. I would want personalized experience where my session data is persisted on the device and I can continue form there.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Lambda test helps my by removing external dependency on front end devs and save my time. I am clearly able to see the request and response in the similar way how it appears in the browser inspect tab.

Good Tool for all your testing needs
What do you like best about the product?
We have integrated our selenium python framework with lambda test and it worked really well. All automation runs and test recordings are getting captured with in lambda test , which is really a cool feature for test automation.
I liked real testing mobile devices which will allow us to test applications on different real devices to make sure applications works seemlessly on all devices

What do you dislike about the product?
No option to upload custom resports (HTML or Allure) to the test runs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One of the end user repoted a bug he faced on iphone 14 max pro but we were unable to reproduce it since we dont have the device. Finally with the help of Lambda test we were able to reproduce it.

Learning curve, too many options new user

There is no need to install chunky applications and need to set up huge code base, lambdatest can serve our purpose.

1. Availability of real time systems for testing both web and mobile applications.
2. User can record video and logs of execution which will help in debugging.
3. The capability generator is simple and easy to understand making the integration of automated suite to lamdatest easier.

What do you dislike about the product?
1. The lamdatest hooks used in automation needs to be specified inside each tests [eg: hooks to mark the name of test case and execution status]. Such type of implementation causes the test cases to fail or become unexecutable while trying to execute the suite without using lamdatest tool [User needs to add the hooks while executing in lamdatest and needs to remove the hooks while executing locally]. It would be really helpful if lamdatest can pickup the corresponding test case name and execution status without specifying hooks inside every test.

While LambdaTest excels in many areas, one aspect that could be improved is the forced log out from real devices after a few minutes of inactivity. This can disrupt the flow of our testing sessions, requiring frequent logins and causing inconvenience. My basic problem as a frontend developer need to test the apps on various device and various browsers. It is not possible to simulate each and every machines on our local machine.
