What do you like best about the product?
Camunda is great for process automation because it's flexible and developer-friendly. It supports BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation) for clear process visualization and offers strong integration capabilities, making it easy to connect with different systems. Plus, it scales well, whether you're running small workflows or enterprise-level automation.
What do you dislike about the product?
Camunda is powerful, but like any tool, it has its challenges. One common frustration is that while it's developer-friendly, it can have a steep learning curve for non-technical users. The documentation is extensive, but some users find it complex, especially when troubleshooting issues. Additionally, while Camunda is lightweight, integrating it with certain legacy systems can require extra effort.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Camunda tackles process automation by streamlining workflows and ensuring better efficiency. It helps organizations standardize business processes using BPMN, making them easier to visualize, manage, and optimize. By automating repetitive tasks, it reduces human error and frees up time for more strategic work.
One of its biggest benefits is its ability to integrate well with various systems, enabling businesses to connect legacy applications with modern technologies. For developers, Camunda provides flexibility through open-source accessibility and strong customization options.

Camunda helped us bring structure and clarity to complex processes
What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate how easy it is to visualize and manage business processes with Camunda. The BPMN diagrams make communication with non-technical stakeholders much smoother, and the platform itself is very developer-friendly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Switching from Drools, it took us a while to get used to modeling logic with BPMN and DMN. At first, it felt less unified compared to writing rules in one place. Some DMN tooling still feels a bit limited.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We’re using Camunda to automate our internal performance and salary review process. Before, it was managed manually through spreadsheets and emails, which made tracking and consistency a challenge. With Camunda, we built a clear BPMN workflow that involves HR, managers, and leadership at different stages. Decisions like eligibility or reward level are handled through DMN tables, which makes rules transparent and easy to update. This saves time, reduces errors, and gives us much better visibility into where each review stands.

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Camunda is its developer-friendly approach to process automation—especially its strong foundation in BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation), combined with its open architecture. A few standout aspects:
1. BPMN-first design: Camunda treats BPMN not just as a diagram but as executable code. That makes it easy for business and tech teams to collaborate without losing precision or control.
2. Open and flexible: Unlike many automation platforms, Camunda doesn’t lock you into a rigid ecosystem. You can integrate it with virtually anything—REST APIs, Kafka, RPA bots, microservices, legacy systems, etc.
3. Camunda 8 (SaaS + Zeebe): The move to Zeebe as the process engine brought true horizontal scalability and made it easier to run in cloud-native environments (like Kubernetes).
4. Operate, Tasklist & Optimize: These built-in tools provide great visibility into process execution, human task management, and data-driven insights—without needing to bolt on third-party software.
5. Community and Documentation: Camunda has a strong developer community, excellent docs, and a transparent product roadmap. It’s easy to get started, and there’s lots of shared knowledge out there.
In short: Camunda offers the power of enterprise-grade orchestration without sacrificing developer autonomy or flexibility. That’s rare.

What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike about Camunda (short and honest):
• Steep learning curve for BPMN newcomers.
• Operate UI can feel clunky for large-scale monitoring.
• Connector development sometimes lacks polish and flexibility.
• Cloud pricing for Camunda 8 SaaS may be high for smaller teams.
• Limited built-in support for long-running human tasks compared to alternative
