Excellent GIS Software
What do you like best about the product?
I like the feature that allows you to download datasets and manipulate them in various ways. You can make your geospatial data as complex or as simple as you would like.
What do you dislike about the product?
I disliked the user interface which seemed very early 2000's-eque. It may be very difficult to navigate and watching tutorial videos will most likely be required. The learning curve may be inconvenient, however, it is to be expected with software that offers such a wide range of advanced features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This program allows geospatial data to be overlayed on maps. This is extremely practical for any business that can benefit from data insights.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend that you allow yourself a good amount of time to get past the learning curve with this product. Once you get the hang of it, however, there are many advanced features available on ArcGIS that are not available with other similar types of software.
Not for beginners
What do you like best about the product?
The capabilities include a vast range of everything one may think of in urban studies and planning. From real time information to data collection and management, the advanced mechanisms are truly impressive and informative.
What do you dislike about the product?
At the same time, there are too many features for a beginning user to navigate. For example, if one simply needs an aerial image, for example, they could instead utilize simpler and free software such as Google Earth.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Presenting environmental details visually, and categorizing by topographical characteristics.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Training for users must be done
Helpful but glitchy.
What do you like best about the product?
It is easy for me to source data from other ArcGIS users and to quickly assemble a visually appealing map from known data.
What do you dislike about the product?
The online software is very glitchy and the general use of the software is not intuitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're using ArcGIS in our strategic planning process. We're able to see our current reach, valued prospects and make decisions based on accurate information.

You can make great maps using public data.
What do you dislike about the product?
Loads slowly, crashes sometimes. That might be partially because I have an old computer. There's also quite a learning curve.

Functional diversity. Arc Gis allows for many different solutions to a problem. The scope of the program can help geologically challenging feats that might require many man hours

It's not an easy transition from ArcGIS Desktop to ArcGIS Pro.

Site Selection for real estate. ArcGIS is imperative when performing site selection analysis and displaying real estate related data.

What do you like best about the product?
I love the ease in which I can pull maps and comps into one single executive summary report.
What do you dislike about the product?
As an ESRI administrator, managing my licenses and user stats can be quite confusing especially with them always changing the platforms.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to get very nice detailed summaries of info in order to present to our clients in an attempt to gain feedback on loans we wish to connect with.
Advantages of ARCGIS
What do you like best about the product?
Undoubtedly, Esri has a long experience accumulated over 40 years in the market, allowing it to establish itself solidly and provide solutions to its users. It is worth highlighting the breadth of online data available on ARCGIS online.
What do you dislike about the product?
Basically, at this point, one must refer to the constant updating of the software, which results in high costs for users; in the case of geoprocessing, in ARCMap, the user sees their functionality somewhat limited depending on the type of license they have.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The use of geodatabase has been very important for the geographic data of the organization to which I belong, as in the geodatabase, spatial information is found in a common spatial reference framework (Feature Dataset), ensuring topological relationships. Additionally, it allowed, through the domain, to minimize the possibility of introducing erroneous or inconsistent data and to apply default values and domains to the entity fields based on the subtype to which they belong, giving value to the data used, ensuring the quality of the geometric data within the implemented geographic system, in general.

ArcGIS is a powerful tool that allows anyone who handles geographic data to publish and share their web maps with the whole world, and also create interactive online map applications.
