We use SmartComm from 2 different products of the same vendor and generally like it.
What do you like best about the product?
It has a lot of very powerful features, very robust change management and the XML input structure is flexible and logical.
What do you dislike about the product?
The versioning process has tripped us up some--but most of that has been resolved as we've understood the product better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Communicating with customers. Currenly only paper, future will use e-mail

Powerful and easy to use tool
What do you like best about the product?
The template editor is seemless and easy to work with. It is a modern platform that receives regular updates from the vendor.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not think that there are any downsides.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The product is providing the ability for template changes to be made much more efficiently compared with our old system. We can get through our workload much faster meaning improved turnaround times for requests to our team.

What do you like best about the product?
The user-friendly interface and easy-to-use features have made it simple to learn and work with the platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
Licensing is a bit complicated which gets tiresome sometimes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using the tool for template creation. We are using batch, on-demand and interactive features for generating the correspondence. We have discrete systems and we are migrating to a common enterprise platform using SmartCOMM.
A Great Partner for Digital Success
What do you like best about the product?
Excellent tooling for template development. Template tooling and APIs are easy to use and well-documented. Responsive and knowledgeable support when you have an issue.
What do you dislike about the product?
Page-based billing for hybrid cloud is a bit silly; we are hosting most of the infrastructure. Hybrid cloud sometimes feels like an afterthought, with the most significant issue being the template tooling lacking support to generate against the hybrid cloud. It is easy to work around but complicates testing customized output processing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Operating at scale with minimal touch points. Today's customer expects digital communications and instant results. From data capture to customer communication, SmatCOMM's helps us build solutions for the customer of today and the future.
A game changer in the communications sector
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use and having the flexibility to customise outputs quickly and efficiently in a a cost effective manner. The more recent updates to template editor to align to ATD have been a massive win within my organisation.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although the people are friendly and helpful, I find the support mailbox hard work to get end results. Often there is many back and forths and although there is a contact number, the person on the end of the phone always seems shocked to be contacted.

SmartComm is helping us to produce better and more efficient pieces of correspondence in a cost effective manner resulting in a better customer experience and way of working.
A superb way to communicate
What do you like best about the product?
The functionality on offer and the benefits we are realising as a result of utilising SmartComms effectively are huge. A great example is the Litmus preview function in SmartComm. The ability to preview our emails across multiple devices and accounts is invaluable. Up until not our email testing has been poor but this function really allows us to build and test more efficiently and really simplify and enhance our process.
Things like the right click function in the latest release will make a huge difference to our developers. As well as having the data modeller in the same place as the template designer and the enhancements to layouts, these are very important to our developers.
Understanding tools such as SmartIQ and how we can really utilise this function is of great interest. I can see where we can gain some really great wins and improve the customer experience.
Our relationship managers are superb, always on hand to help us with any queries or problems we're facing and always offer solutions.

Very difficult to say as the there's not much to dislike, it's more the way we are utilising the tools which we need to enhance and really exploit the abilities of SmartComm.

As mentioned above, we have had a real issue in the way we test our email output, and the Litmus preview function offers a superb solution to this problem.

Cloud first best in suite tooling. Easy to set up, easy to work with with high quality deliverables

The batch integration could be easier on salesforce platform
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For us it solves the problem for fast realtime document generation. We can now offer stp customer journeys the way our customers want.

I like that I can clock in from my phone.

I don't like having to use a different app to look at my pay and hours.

I always know my schedule and like the clock in/out notifications in case I get distracted or forget.

Template creation is very straightforward. Allows me to create correspondence on the fly

Licensing is bit complicated. Difficult to setup the environment initially
