PhishER and Phish Alert Button in Outlook
What do you like best about the product?
Automatically analyzing each reported email is a great feature. This helps keep the company safe by automatically having email threats Phish RIP. Phish RIP will then automatically pull those email threats out of other mailboxes before those users can click on them.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is a little tricky to get set up and to get it functioning in an automated way. I do not have time to look at each manually reported email, so automation is critical. That setup and configuration are not super straightforward.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
it is pulling the reported threat email out of user's inbox and keeping the company safe.
PhishER filters the spam from actual threats for you, allowing you to do your job much easier.
What do you like best about the product?
In combination with the Phish Alert Button is allows us to get notified when a problem email comes in and automatically parses the rest of the emails so that we can focus on the areas that need attention.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, the entire application is useful. Using the emails you recieve and turning them into phishing emails to further test your organization is a great tool. Maybe a way to automatically block problem emails would be great so that we can just go and review it at a later time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automating the reporting process allowing me to focus on actual problems and the rest of my job duties. Also it helps take real world phishing emails that we recieve and use them for further training opportunities.
Helpful and easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
I really love PhishER. We use it in conjunction with the phish alert add on for Outlook. It is extremely user friendly and provides great insight into reported emails. It saves so much time. I also created actions so I can automate user notifications and file reported emails by category which is very helpful in audits and reviews
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like the ability to do some additional reporting on the actions I created. I do have reports now that shoe me the info I need, but having to ability to filter my reports a little more based on the actions/tags I created would be helpful in the future
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am a department of one so anything I can use to help save time is crucial and PhishER really does this for me. I also need easy to understand exec summaries for committee meetings and the dashboard is perfect for that.
Easy to Use
What do you like best about the product?
The dashboard is very easy to use. Reporting is clear and gives us a good idea of the risky things being sent to our company. It also helps us know what to train users on because we get to see what they report that they shouldn't have reported.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's unclear what happens after we mark something as a threat or clean. Does our system get smarter and know to block messages similar to those we mark as a threat? Do emails we mark as clean get sent back to the person who marked them by mistake? We're not really sure what the purpose of this section is.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's an easy to use system that allows us to see current threats at a quick glance and how often they're coming through. It's also showing us who is paying attention.

What do you like best about the product?
It blocks routine emails that i have rules setup for.
What do you dislike about the product?
Still a lot of manual intervention on emails that users submit, but we have only been using it for about 3 months, so still building up the rulesets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Users are helping to block many unwanted emails.

Once setup it is running almost on auto pilot

Sometimes it is doing such a good job I have gotten multiple calls from my team to know if and why they are getting some of these email. Nothing you can do here

We are going through a SOC audit and feel it has helped in our efforts

What do you like best about the product?
We use the Phish Alert Button as an Outlook plug-in that allows users to report suspect email with one click. These reported emails then go into PhishER where I can review them. These reported emails are usually categorized and scanned, but I have to look at and label a few manually.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I get a little confused while working in the console interface to determine if an email is already rated or if the system is waiting for me to take action.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allows us to categorize email scams and phishing attempts to educate our staff better on email threats.
PhisherER has a user intuitive Gui
What do you like best about the product?
I like the GUI that PhishER uses, it is easy and intuitive. When users report a "phishy" email, the administrator will see the email come through, the rules that are created by the administrator will decide what happens to that email next.
What do you dislike about the product?
The downside is that PhishER is unable to be used to create a custom query to search o365. I have encountered phish emails that were forwarded and not reported by button and it would be nice if they can be ripped out
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
PhishER solves the manpower issue where otherwise a company would need somebody to monitor emails and manually remove the reported emails from the platrofrm being used.
PhishER gives you the tools to help manage both real phishing emails as well as simulated ones.

What do you dislike about the product?
I really would like to see some sort of whitelist and blacklist setup in the console so we can manually assign certain addresses and domains as clean/risky. Also, email alerts can be a little slow at times
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
An easy way for end-users to report suspicious emails and also gives IT the ability to quarantine risky emails in our enviorment utilizing PhishRip.

Mostly good but a little unreliable
What do you like best about the product?
The Phish Rip has come in hand a lot of times. We use this frequently for spam or just poorly thought out emails people regret sending. Automatedly handling some items that come in too
What do you dislike about the product?
PhishRip sometimes just does not find all the emails. Sometimes we have to make several of the same query to get all the emails or it will get the email but not the replies to it.
