Powerful Mac Management Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Extremely powerful software - infinitely useful in terms of mac management.
What do you dislike about the product?
Somewhat clunky GUI, time-consuming to set up and difficult to learn.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing policies for over 100 macs. Able to quickly push out an update, block software installation, change settings, remotely wipe macs instantly.
Jamf Pro Apple Management
What do you like best about the product?
I like to ease of enrolling the iPads into the management system. Setting the naming scheme, applying restrictions and deploying applications is extremely easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike not having a report feature where I can run reports to pull specific information about apps, security, updates, etc. This can be done now using Smart Groups, but that pulls devices that fit the criteria set into a group and the devices can be exported into a text file or CSV file. I would have to create a "report" from that export that is presentable to my supervisors.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easier management and faster deployment of apps to several iPads simultaneously. Previously our teachers were using iTunes gift cards and the IT department was creating and managing Apple IDs for all grade levels. Eliminating the iTunes gift cards was great for the budget and helped teachers focus more on the content in the apps they requested.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The MDM is worth it. There are also so many hidden gems with JAMF that I was not aware of until I attended JNUC. You can use custom trigger policies for client device configuration, you can set up LDAP, and use JAMF APIs to create your own iOS app.
Great Mac management product
What do you like best about the product?
I believe it is the best Mac/iOS management product available. They offer zero-day support for new MacOS and iOS releases and the DEP/VPP integration is great!
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the patch management was a bit more fleshed out. I trust it will begin to be in the next year or two.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We utilize jamf pro for MacOS/iOS inventory, software management, compliance and setup.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use JamfNation! The community is one of the best parts about jamf. People are willing to share how they are using the product and are great resources. Take the time to plan out your policies/profiles. You can save a lot of time by thinking through how to utilize these features best.
Jamf pro - more like Jamf Great
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use of this product in so many ways and how many categories it actually covers in a simple layout. We've been using the Jamf Pro for two years now and I would go towards any other.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd say that there are some minor details that could be still implemented to the product, but Jamf development team does a great job patching out those in annual updates of the Jamf Pro platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Proper MacOS environment management with solid policy management that provides us with the necessary grasp of the clients which we previously didn't have.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I'd recommend contacting the Jamf Pro for a product demo and discuss the possibilities onsite demo.

What do you like best about the product?
Jamf really stays on top of the new features that Apple makes available to MDM companies.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a few features missing that I would like to see. for example, more granular update control, and app deployment, also the ability to manually push the edu profile.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
App distribution and management of shared ipad
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Jamf does almost everything that Apple makes available in the MDM specification and prettty close to zero day support.
Amazing product for Mac Admins
What do you like best about the product?
JAMF has a feature set for apple devices that most other companies don't even come close to having. They also have terrific support, with knowledgeable and friendly staff that are always there when an issue may arise.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not had many dislikes, as if an issue did come up JAMF was already aware of said issue, or if not they would add a bug report and usually have it fixed within one or two dot releases. There really wasn't any showstoppers
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Initially years ago when JAMF was brought in the main purpose was to get my users FileVault keys redirected into a centralized location (JAMF). Now it is being used for so much more. Having a great product that integrates into others (Azure,SCCM, etc) helps me be able to get done the tasks required in my organization.
A Best Option For Mobile Data Security and Insights
What do you like best about the product?
Wandera is a very professional partner and I like the data security and insight into iOS and Android vulnerabilities. It becomes our day to day life processes. It gives an good insight and understanding for the process.
What do you dislike about the product?
Somewhat I feel it lacked the visibility to achieve a superior level of security: visibility of the data itself. They couldn’t stop accessing services via web browsers that carry malware or leak data. somehow it take more time to setup and ROI Return time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Wandera has not only reduced our bills but it’s also reduced our worry about entering into new mobility projects and adding more devices to the fleet because we know that data costs are not going to be an issue or an obstacle.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend the wandera to use, it has great option and services about mobile data security and insights. But somehow I feel uncertainty about the access from web browser and carry malware or leak data.

What do you like best about the product?
Jamf enables us to be flexible with all of the different kind of deployments we have. Adding to our colleagues happiness! The ease of generating and maintaining complex infrastructures is mind blowing.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the fact that changes are made in a questionable matter by Apple making it hard for Jamf to keep up. Which is of course not something jamf has an hand in.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are enabling the user choice program by making an effortless integrating of Macs into our company.

Take time to see if Jamf fits your environment.

What do you like best about the product?
Day-zero support for all Apple releases, this can only be done with a 100% focus.
What do you dislike about the product?
not much, there are some minor Features that I would like to put in, but this is in every product.

Managing macOS/iOS at a large scale for multiple customers.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
if you managing mac's, you defiantly had to look had Jamf Pro, at the moment I don't know a better product that can do a better job then Jamf Pro does.
After 10 years of use, jamf is still the best option on the market.
What do you like best about the product?
The web server interface. It is easy to use and familiar to anyone who has used macOS. What took a dozen steps on another deployment platform takes less than half with jamf.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the priority that education and iOS get over enterprise and macOS.

Jamf pro provides the ability to properly manage macOS systems in a large corporate environment.
