Easy implementation, straightforward tool
What do you like best about the product?
Implementing Snyk was extremely straightforward. We were able to complete it ahead of schedule and with minimal assistance from the Snyk Team. The app itself is clear and valuable. It doesn't require my team to review extensive documentation or go through application-specific training to understand its use; we were able to hit the ground running.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I can think of is that Snyk does not offer a threat detection component to its product. With the ease of implementation and use, it would be great if we could not only use one tool for both purposes, but we were able to use Snyk for threat detection; the ease and simplicity of use, I feel, would make the program far easier to manage.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Snyk provides SAST, container scanning, vuln scanning and SCA capabilities. These capabilities allow us to be more productive as a team and increase performance in these areas as the information provided by the tool is easy to act upon.

What do you like best about the product?
Snyk helped us shift left and streamline some of our security processes. Within the first few months of implementing Snyk, we could determine the impact and scope of zero-day vulnerabilities within an hour versus a day. The time savings and automation are clear winners for us.
What do you dislike about the product?
We are frustrated by some reporting capabilities that need to be enhanced. The updated reporting is a vast improvement, but we have specific use cases that we prefer not to engineer through the APIs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As an organization that's re-energized its commitment to being security-minded, Snyk is helping us enrich our security posture and processes across the organization.
Does not allow you making mistakes you did not know you make
What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to use and developer friendly. You can easily test a project locally or let snyk monitor the project from the ci. The quality gate makes sure, you do not introduce new mistakes in your merge requests.
What do you dislike about the product?
The need for a Snyk Broker when working with a self hosted Gitlab instance. We recently moved from the Gitlab SaaS service to a self hosted environment. It was partly our mistake for not reading the Snyk documentation well enough, but now we need a broker for it to monitor our projects
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Snyk monitors our projects for security mistakes in the dependencies. Some projects are on a security only maintenance mode, which is a lot easier with Snyk. But it also monitors the main projects and makes it easy to fix security issues
Easy to use, complete solution
What do you like best about the product?
I really like working with Snyk. It is really user friendly and all-in-one security solution for your apps and cloud workloads.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was an on-premise solution. In TR, we need it because of some regulatory difficulties.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is a complete solution, it sends really informative notifications for your repos, container images and vs. I feel safe with Synk.

What do you dislike about the product?
Bundle Pricing can be a bit high. More options outside of bundles for pricing would be appreciated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SNYK is bringing security right to the IDE and containers where DevOps perform their work and helping integrate Sec in DevSecOps.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take a look at the demo and try the community version. I already have developer friends that are really enjoying the community version.
Snyk provides the informed and actionable results that others do not
What do you like best about the product?
Beyond the CLI and VS Code integration, seeing the exploit maturity and quick fixes right inline makes speedy work of fixing problems. Additionally, the ability to ignore certain findings and the rich filtering can help adjust the signal-to-noise to zero in on the most urgent problems.
What do you dislike about the product?
Perhaps due to my own ignorance as a newer user, it is disheartening to hit a wall with a vulnerability with "No remediation path available". But I doubt that is a failing of the Snyk tool and system.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I started with my own personal site, and now progressing to other projects. I'm also introducing Snyk as an offering to my clients, and sincerely hope they adopt it so that we can all sleep better at night.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The initial trial should be good enough to kick the tires on some low hanging fruit on a project, and get a feel for the experience. Beyond that, try the VS Code integration and CLI tool in a Ci/Cd pipeline to further test out the features and benefits.
A Great service for Source code analysis and vulnerability detection
What do you like best about the product?
Snyk offers automatic vulnerability detection for our GitHub repos, also it warns about the vulnerability impact, direct PR to our GitHub repo is another nice feature
What do you dislike about the product?
A few false positives in the code itself which nothing to do with security, most of the time the middleware that is not public and written by us
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Some critical vulnerabilities in our web application, where we are not aware of it, and most of the time we ignore to think about the vulnerability impact
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Snyk is a good service I have used. As a Web Developer, I know how hackers can break into our applications, though I develop websites keeping owasp in mind. Still, I am not sure of the third-party packages like npm. We should appreciate Snyk's work before using an outdated package we can see if that nmp package has any known vulnerabilities and avoid risks at the first stage
Best app to scan for vulnerabilities
What do you like best about the product?
It helps me scan the apps I make, so I don't ship off vulnerable software to my client
What do you dislike about the product?
A bit hard to find people around it (small community)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am scanning my web apps for security issues. It saves me the hassle of taking web apps down for maintenance by solving problems before deployment
