Not cheap, but it packs a punch!
What do you like best about the product?
Oracle 19c Enterprise Edition is the best of the best, la "crème de la crème" of relational databases available on the market. The list of features and functionalities is mind-boggling. There is no real competition out there for this database.
What do you dislike about the product?
The issue point with Oracle EE is the price point. Previously, if you wanted to use Oracle database in a cluster using RAC (real application clusters), you could do it with Standard Edition. This is no longer the case with version 19c, and if you want RAC, you have to fork out a lot of cash for the Enterprise Edition, which is now the only version which supports RAC.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Oracle EE 19c offers enterprise-grade performance and reliability for us to run all our mission-critical SaaS applications. Some significant benefits of using EE over Standard Edition are "Flashback Database" and Point-in-Time Recovery, granular performance measurement (with the Diagnostics pack), and "Active Data Guard", among others. These functionalities also allow us to overcome any performance issues or bottlenecks rapidly.

Oracle 19c database works well on Linux server, stable, perform well

Some Linux 8.3 patching still requires server restart, (kernel glibc, Linux firmware, systems, dbus) so it requires the database to be shutdown.

The kernel settings are important on Linux server, ensure following the kernel settings on Oracle installation guide.
If the kernel settings are wrong, CPU and memory parameter settings on the databases will not be what you are expected.
