Hearsa and the Great Complianc Conodrum
What do you like best about the product?
I am limited only by the amount of characters I am able to use. Hearsay is an amazing program that allows to monitor our agents and make sure all information distributed is compliant, while not seemingly like we are invading their privacy and being "Big Brother." In the digital age, privacy is worth its weight in gold, and Hearsay allows our agents ot keep their personal accounts private while making sure their business accounts are compliant.
Plus our customer advocate, Michelle Bateman, is amazing! She is a pleasure to work with and there is no problem she can't fix

What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to be able to upload videos to Instagram.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to distribute fun, interactive and compliant information through our agents accounts, and we have seen sales increase.
A Feature-Rich Listings Management Tool but Cancellation Has Been a Nightmare (Updated Aug. 2020)
What do you like best about the product?
The platform links up with some relatively important sites and services, and I really like how well the knowledge graph works to unify data across all of them. Duplicate suppression is top-notch, and everything is explained clearly for novices to power users.
What do you dislike about the product?
Like any platform of this type, Yext's portfolio of linked sites does include some relatively low-quality options (i.e., some listing sites that aren't applicable to most industries).
Review Update: Our team genuinely enjoyed using Yext and the customer service team, up until the end, was best-in-class from my perspective. We had to make a platform change simply because things changed at our agency and we could no longer justify the cost. Once we fulfilled our initial contract and gave notice that we weren't going to be renewing (I believe they require a 30-day notice and we provided nearly 60 days notice) , we received a confirmation but were then charged "mistakenly" once the original contract expired — putting the onus on us to request a refund. From there, it was basically radio silence from their team, and we had to dispute the charge on our credit card after being strung along for weeks by Yext's team. I normally give companies the benefit of the doubt in these situations (mistakes happen, and I had no intention of updating this review originally), but they've made it clear they're either trying to fluff their sales figures by waiting to give us a refund of a substantial amount of money, or they simply don't care enough to make it right/keep us updated in the process.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Unified listings and review management has helped improve efficiency and ensure that all of our client data is correct, up-to-date and on the most important sites.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Shop around. This is a great platform, but it is among the most expensive to use out of all the ones I found in the mix (e.g., BrightLocal, Moz, etc.). Yext appears to offer better service and support, and the fact that the platform is locked into Google and Bing via APIs means that manually entered data in the platform always takes priority, which is essential.
Update: Be very wary if you're worried about getting locked into a contract with them. I'm not saying that my experience is the same one that everyone else will have, but Yext is no doubt an expensive platform, and we've had a substantial amount of money floating with them because their cancellation process has been less than transparent and customer-friendly.

Marketing Coordinator
What do you like best about the product?
The support team is always available and ready to help
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I don’t like is an internal error. Once fixed we will be able to use Yext to its full capacity
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Consistent data across the board
Great Way To Improve Social Media Presence
What do you like best about the product?
I love that Hearsay let’s me set up all of my posts for the entire month at once. It’s a quick tool that allows me to constantly be sharing valuable information to my customer base on social media, as well as track how many views, likes, etc., my pages are getting. It’s great being able to post to all of my different social media accounts from one central place.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn’t a ton of customizability, which can limit you in certain areas. It would also be nice if you were able to include hashtags with the posts to increase visibility.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This has definitely helped increase my social media presence and as I result I am seeing more traffic on my specific advisor homepage.
Yext: The Mr. Clean of Your Brand's Online Data.
What do you like best about the product?
No matter what scale you use this at - individual business, small chain, or full-blown enterprise - you can always benefit from Yext. We currently use them for our online directories listings + suppressions + reputation monitoring. We have a ton of locations across the US, so it's so useful to be able to add a location, and then suppress any outdated or irrelevant information about these locations and have it go *poof* off the Internet. Then we just actively maintain our cleaned-up info!
What do you dislike about the product?
Yext is trying to extend beyond its original scope of brand data management into areas already covered by other companies. It's a hard sell - they're trying to be a jack of all trades, but at the end they're becoming a master of none. They should stick to what they do well and expand on that, rather than get into an area like Analytics.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have many locations, and it has been a huge project claiming all locations, setting up a naming convention, and continuing to suppress the old or incorrect information. Yext has been instrumental in allowing us to clean up and centralize our online presence.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Go for it. They offer all levels of subscriptions, and it's such an easy platform to work. You won't lose out!
Using Hearsay to post on social media
What do you like best about the product?
Hearsay sends me emails of content ideas and fresh posts, which reminds me to continue updating our facebook/linkedin/twitter profiles
What do you dislike about the product?
While i appreciate the emails, i dislike how frequent they come.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Hearsay to select posts for social media & it posts them at the most productive time on any given day.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Well recommended
Great way to streamline
What do you like best about the product?
I love that I can post to multiple social networking sites at the same time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Was a little confusing at first. It took some time to figure out where to go to do things.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reaching clients on multiple platforms. Great way to get clients engaged.
One stop shop for location listings, reporting and online review response
What do you like best about the product?
Being able to make an update to a location or multiple locations from a single source and have it update across our digital footprint is essential.
What do you dislike about the product?
The price to add on additional products (advanced review capabilities, pages) is exponentially high. We've also had some issues with holiday hours and the social content posting product doesn't have the best capabilities or reporting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Making mass updates and pulling reporting has helped our organization's operations run smoothly and communicate more effectively with our store owners.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a clean easy to use interface with a great support team.
Strong platform that needs some fine tuning!
What do you like best about the product?
Strong location management abilities. Weak review platform lacking real-time data and interaction abilities.
What do you dislike about the product?
Needs better analytic report customization options.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having one location that owns all hour and location management for the web.
Super helpful for targeting our specific audience.
What do you like best about the product?
Hearsay can look at everyone that likes/follows your page, and find out when the most active times are, helping you increase your exposure. It also has a wide range of platforms you can attach to your Hearsay account, and they're adding more in the next calendar year.
What do you dislike about the product?
We don't always see when Hearsay posts on our pages, so we end up having to go look for them so we can make sure to share them onto our other pages. Hearsay will also tend to post things one right after another, instead of spacing them out a little better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hearsay has helped us with staying active on social media, without having to pause what we're doing to get it done. Hearsay makes it easier for us to market at times that we tend to be busier in the office.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Set Hearsay up on all platforms you can.
