Great partners, quick implementation
What do you like best about the product?
Our organic pageviews are increasing every month, meaning more customers are finding us through the listings and pages we created using Yext. Having Yext has been a huge help in managing all of our individual entities as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Fully vet out each part of the solution, as we may have purchased a bit more than we needed (or were ready for) in our first phase. I would also highly recommend estimating your professional service hours ahead of time so you can set proper expectations for how you want to iterate and when. It is challenging to estimate those hours so we actually needed more than what we originally contracted.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Consistency across our individual entities online, and local SEO for our loan officers and branches. Yext has made it much easier to manage both!
Transform your website into a dynamic smart website.
What do you like best about the product?
I love the fact that answers feature seamlessly integrates itself to the restaurant website and makes the website dynamically searchable. All hidden information comes to life. The user experience is vastly enhanced. At anytime from the company perspective, we are able to have metrics on trending searched keywords.
What do you dislike about the product?
At the moment, nothing yet. I will make sure to update this section as soon as I find something that may require enhancement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Covid impact on business has been catastrophic. Trimmed workforce, and constant updates on operations on the website and various listings. With Yext, this challenging task has become the easiest and most pleasant to do. Changes/updates on operations can actually be scheduled. :)
The Yext team has helped us use their products successfully since day 1.
What do you like best about the product?
There's no doubt that Yext has great products (we use Answers, Pages, and Listings), but what sets Yext apart is that their team is consistently committed to helping us optimize our use of these products. We now use the Yext Knowledge Graph to power multiple functions on our website for a richer user experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, we have not come across any significant downsides to using Yext. If anything, better tools and more data can necessitate more active management and analysis, which can be tough for a small team like ours. Fortunately, Yext's account admins have been willing to help us with these tasks throughout our relationship.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've solved two key problems with Yext: 1) Disjointed information across third-party web listings for our locations; 2) An antiquated and limited user experience on our website. With Yext Listings, we can now ensure that all of our third-party location listings are updated uniformly and instantaneously, and this can be done by store-level team members with one login. With Yext Answers and Pages, we've improved our web experience using the Knowledge Graph to create responsive functionality and to power on-site search via a single data source.

There is some upfront work required to see where help is most needed.

What do you like best about the product?
The capabilities are endless and it's great having a streamline platform for our reviews for all locations.

Some glitches here and there, but that is with any platform.

Small things here and there, the support teams are what is really great.
Yext Answers helps our website visitors find what they need ASAP.
What do you like best about the product?
The knowledge graph. I can manage our data in real time without having to contact support or open a ticket.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing. Answers fits right in with our other Yext listings so I don't have another management console to update.

Website visitors are finding what they need more efficiently, with less time and less clicks.

Yext is a great vendor to work with. Implementation was a breeze, products are designed to be self-service, but the support team is excellent if you need them.
Adding Yext Answers has been one of the best additions to our web site - immediate results!

Great tool with a lot of helpful data
What do you like best about the product?
Thanks to Yext, we're able to do so much for our brand and our website users all in one place. The tool itself is easy for us to use and navigate. And best of all, there is endless data! There's actually so much data that our monthly analytics reports from our Answers admin, Johnathon, is super helpful and saves us so much time. Overall a very powerful tool and I would recommend it to any marketing team.
What do you dislike about the product?
In the beginning it was a little overwhelming, and we don't have much time to go through Hitchhikers; however, we get so much support from our Yext team that it didn't really slow us down in implementation and with immediately getting to work.

We are solving brand awareness and user experience issues!
Answers is the answer
What do you like best about the product?
I love the customer experience Answers provides. I want my customers to be able to find the answer to their questions as easily as possible on my website. Importing my product data from Shopify was quick and easy and there's so much you can do with your info in the knowledge graph.
What do you dislike about the product?
I understand the company is working on the self-serve account, so right now it's a little hard to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am using Yext for answers on my website. We want to make it easy to show answers to our customers.
Yext business practices not acceptable
What do you like best about the product?
The updating of directories is fast and the analytics dashboard is great.
What do you dislike about the product?
Subscription is expensive and is difficult to cancel a yearly contract. As many of my clients were not able to pay their subscription during the pandemic of 2020 I asked for a contract renegotiation. The answer was NO. In addition some of the business practices are disappointing:
--When the yearly contract was up, Yext went ahead and charged my bank account although no new contract was signed. They ended up reversing the charge after much effort and time was spent... I ended up using another provider for local directory submissions.
--After a business is unsubscribed from Yext, some of the directories are reverted back to the status before Yext, i.e. old address & phone numbers.
--Yext continues to keep a lock on Yahoo, Mapquest and other listings making it difficult for business owners to claim listings that were previously managed by Yext.
