What do you like best about the product?
I like the way I can create pipelines and add transformations to the events. Also, the way I can skip objects is cool.
What do you dislike about the product?
The performance is really bad. The way you can't pre-select the object while creating the pipeline is causing many issues for us. The lack of logs to see transactions affects pipeline monitoring. Also, with the connector we use, Facebook Ads, there is no way to customize the queries and what we pull from FB.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
To replicate FB Ads objects into our database.
I would like to use it for more scenarios, but we are not sure yet.

Hevo Data simplifies BigData
What do you like best about the product?
The simplicity when you need to create complex pipelines.
We were able to route all of our production events to a data warehouse in Google BigQuery in a day.
Easy pricing plans, easy to scale.

What do you dislike about the product?
All of those features come at a cost, and we'd love to have a more linear pricing plan.
Some months we have low activity, we just barely go over the allowance of the starter plan, yet we have to pay for the next full tier.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hevo Data is helping us funnel/extract all our events from our different data sources (Mongo and SQL), normalize the data and save it into Google Big Query.
From there we can run all of our reporting seamlessly.

Best bang for buck for Cloud data movements
What do you like best about the product?
No administration required, works when needed, good connectors and great pricing
What do you dislike about the product?
We cannot guarantee when the sync is completed. Nor can it be triggered on-demand or synchronously. We use DBAMP on the side to work around this issue and wish you could fix the tooling to take care of this. Have to click "Run Now" many times to sync data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've used similar products it he past and they were similar. Reverse ETL is a good one we like (provided we could guarantee the execution completion).

Seamless and Awesome customer service
What do you like best about the product?
Hevo Data's interface is very straightforward.It does not have a lot of jargon. Being a novice at pipelines, it built my pipelines superfast and then delivered them to the source at the same speed. Then thier customer support is very good they reach out quickly and resolve the issue at the earliest. This has helped me a lot.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing to dislike about it. It is an evolving tool. They keep adding new functionalities to it. I would like if they added more support for multiple destinations. It would make my life way more accessible, and it would be nice to edit the fields on the destination if required.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hevo data is a fantastic ETL tool that supports all the sources you could think of. Their support is very commendable. I have loved interacting with web application. It is effortless to build pipelines and also do transformations on the data in an easy way.

1. The concept and promise to give a data pipeline were unmet, which is the core principle of this SaaS application
2. Data pipelines repeatedly fail with a slight change in the database model.
3. Too much uncertainty when we try to analyze the data we get from HEVO to our database. Missing customer information, missing payments, you name it.
4. We investigate further into the pipelines and the destination database, and we found over 100GB of rubbish data they put on the database full of rubbish. So they charge us more while our database is roughly 300 MB. When compressed, it is 100 or so.
5. The live chat solved nothing. We wasted a week's worth of effort investigating the issue until we figured out it was a HEVO problem.

What do you like best about the product?
No engineering effort is required build data pipelines, many sources available mostly don't face an issue here
What do you dislike about the product?
UI improvements can be made, like ETL editing. MoEngage as a source can be added could be great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
No code data engineering; we don't have to keep an internal team for this.

The pipelines of the Hevo we like the best. And the support from the Hevo team

Sometimes having call with the Hevo team is taking sometime.

We are easily able to load the data through hevo pipelines and able to run dashboard from it
Versatile data engineering connector tool for businesses with vast types of data!
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to connect multiple data sources to destination DBs and do it with a uniform structure/platform with an apparent learning curve.
What do you dislike about the product?
While it's great for certain kinds of businesses, Hevo resource and failure management is challenging for fast-growing companies. Beyond a specific size of data, the system has failed to scale for us.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hevo makes data engineering very easy, and the ability to use SQL to create jobs from one source to another makes a small DE team very effective.
It's a good tool, that is in active development.

The data flow is a little opaque. We can't easily debug issues off the bat. Error messages are often cryptic.
A few features are unknown and it takes a long time to get responses on things that a mature company would know an answer off the bat.
