Incredibly responsive and helpful team
What do you like best about the product?
My CSM, Linn. She is very helpful and enthusiastic. In our recurring meetings she is happy to show me new features and go through existing features again with me.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing comes to mind. I have really enjoyed using Drata so far.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Drata helped us understand the scope of a SOC2 and HIPAA audit and allowed us to have a clear roadmap to a successful audit.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Set up recurring meetings with your CSM, they are so helpful and make the process really easy.

Great experience and very useful tool
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ease of getting our team onboarded directly. There is no need for the use of several different tools as Drata has integrations with other applications we use that seamlessly connect our Security processes with our basic HR onboarding duties and processes, including the background check service we use.
What do you dislike about the product?
It was a bit challenging to have a stable connection with some of our applications, as we are a company that uses tools that vary in nature and use in different parts of the world. So it took some time for our team to get onboard on using a more limited amount of tools that perform the same functions. After the original set up was properly completed the issues did not reoccur
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest problem drata is addressing is that our onboarding is performed in the same, safe manner. It takes human error almost out of the picture and allows us a more standardized and cohesive onboarding. It also does the same for our other security processes
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for a one-stop shop and ease of getting Soc2 or other security compliance accreditation then Drata is a really good place to be

What do you like best about the product?
The usability and easy user interface. Customer service is spot on and they're quick to help.
What do you dislike about the product?
Being able to add on monitored controls for custom frameworks

Drata is assisting us in set up and reinforce our compliance for SOC2, HIPAA and HITRUST
Drata is a wonderful painkiller for the headache that is SOC 2 Compliance

Customer support is fantastic and patient with my dumb questions.

What am I doing with my life? SOC 2 compliance? Really?
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Drata is helping my company achieve SOC 2 complaince.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You should ABSOLUTELY use Drata if you need to achieve SOC 2 or other complaince goals. They offer a tremendous amount of support, policy templates, and evidence gathering that makes the process much easier.
Still early but great experience so far. Great price and great support.
What do you like best about the product?
The UI is very slick. The support has been great so far with very custom 1-1 support.
What do you dislike about the product?
Too early to say, but nothing so far. We've had a great experience a few weeks in.

We are using Drata specifically to help get SOC 2 Type I and Type II compliant.
The people at Drata have been amazing. The product is easy to use and well designed.

Laci has been very responsive with our questions, always following through on action items and has been great with onboarding us. She is pretty much part of the Sterling team. The people at Drata have been very helpful and knowledgeable. Drata the product has made our lives so much easier when trying to pull everything together for preparing us for SOC2 compliance. The product is easy to use, well designed and the dashboards have been great at seeing where we need to focus our time.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are been some bugs in the system, specifically around the Gitlab integration reporting people not having MFA setup when in fact they were configured with MFA in Gitlab. Other than that, I can't say anything that I dislike about the platform or the company.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Drata is helping us save time, keeping us focus on what needs to be improved upon and automating the gathering of materials needed for SOC2 compliance that would otherwise take weeks or even months to gather.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking to become SOC2 compliant or already are but need to improve the SOC2 audit process, Drata is the product you want to use. It automates much of the work for you, manages key assets to help in the audit process and it does it with minimal input. It will save you time and money in gathering the needed evidence for your audits and constantly monitors your assets to ensure they are compliant.
Great one-stop tool
What do you like best about the product?
Drata allows us to fully integrate our controls and policies for compliance purposes, including audits, reporting, tracking, and internal training.
What do you dislike about the product?
I love that Drata integrates with our other third party tools to make the process seemless. Would like to see more third party integrations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a tool that would help us manage our compliance program without being an obstacle. Drata helps us organize, implement, and track.

Powerful tool in constant improvement, with great customer support.
What do you dislike about the product?
To make the most of Drata it takes a while and some technical restrictions don't allow it to be fully integrated (although Drata working on it).

The live monitoring of our key controls allows us to proactively identify control issues.

What do you like best about the product?
The onboarding process was smooth, the sales process was informative but not pushy.
Since signing up we have had excellent support from our CSM Ashley who has made herself available at all times if we need assistance.
The tool itself is easy to navigate and after only a week of use has already helped us get more than 50% of the way to being compliant with our first target framework, HIPAA.
There is a lot to work for customers (and only the customer could do it) in regards to policies and company processes but the Drata tool does help a lot by centralizing these documents and storing sign-off. Daily monitoring of control checks which can be automated is a wonderful timesaver, anything getting out of alignment will be alerted for remediation immediately.

We've stumbled over a few minor things that don't quite fit our needs:
- Having the ability to have one of several leaders sign off on policies instead of just a single person
- Being able to store multiple security-related documents against a single vendor (e.g. SOC 2 documentation and HIPAA documentation)
- How to manage skills matrix
Our CSM has been responsive in taking these needs onboard an hopefully we'll see them in a future release!

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're primarily looking to assure our customers of our dedication to security posture. Combining the extensive policy suite along with automated monitoring gives us the ability to provide evidence of our commitment directly to customers without delay.
Near-flawless Experience with SOC2
What do you like best about the product?
Drata makes it very easy to track our compliance. We have gone through a SOC 2 Type 1 and Type 2 audit successfully with Drata's aid. They have been extremely helpful along the way and have provided support and guidance at each level. We have had sessions with Drata’s in-house compliance team which have guided us greatly and our Customer Success Manager has been very responsive and pleasant to work with.
What do you dislike about the product?
Cannot think of anything major. Notification emails can use better wording describing the control status.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SOC 2 compliance. Drata is helping us keep organized and on top of our security posture so nothing slips through the cracks.
