Drata makes SOC compliance so easy
What do you like best about the product?
Drata has taken the time to create the most comprehensive self-help knowledge base I have ever seen for a SaaS provider. That makes Drata really easy to use and easy to learn. Nonetheless, SOC 2 compliance is complicated for us non-engineers, so I've relied at times on their excellent customer service, which is second to none. We are a small company leaving the start-up stage and we need to demonstrate a strong security posture, but no one on my team has ever sought SOC 2 compliance before. Drata makes it as painless as it could possibly be.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't found anything I'd say I dislike about Drata. They do everything they can to make compliance easy and automated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Drata is helping me to stay organized and not miss any important aspects of compliance.

What do you like best about the product?
The support features of Drata. What ever support you need you can get in just a couple of minutes.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's policy center lack some features of styling if wanting to edit the policies there but otherwise its good.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solving the monitoring and evidence gathering for compliance. Also as the tool for keeping track of vendors and Risk Management.
Drata is head and shoulders above other reviewed solutions
What do you like best about the product?
The more I work in Drata, the more I love it. Very intelligently setup and the has helped simplify the actual certifications for me as I use the platform. The personnel section has really made it easy for my team to review and ensure all users are compliant at a glance.
Our Customer Success Manager, Craig, is also a super star. He is incredibly knowleageable and has helped us learn the platform and become more confident in it every day. His follow through is outstanding and has helped us adopt the system and be in it every day.

What do you dislike about the product?
The API options of Drata are improving, though at the moment some of the features I need are not yet complete or live.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a small team and Drata is giving us more power to keep all the controls and requirements under supervision. It makes ISO27001 and SOC 2 Type 2 feel manageable and simpler.
DRATA Experience
What do you like best about the product?
The great thing about DRATA is that they have this AI chatbot that you can ask which is familiar with their knowledge base. It feels like you are using ChatGPT but when it reaches the point where it can't conclusively answer your question, it then offers you to talk to a person.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is my first time to use such software and our company also obtained services from AssuranceLab where somehow it confuses me because Drata and AssuranceLab has different set of Quickstart Guide. I hope Drata and AssuranceLab has tighter integration so that these quickstarts are somehow unified and not confusing for a first timer like me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It gives you an organized way on how you would go about working on your Compliance journey
Helps me easily monitor security compliance
What do you like best about the product?
As CISO for our company, Drata helps me easily monitor our controls and compliance without needing to be across every little detail. I have also been very impressed with our CSM Ryan, he has been fantastic helping us get the most out of the product.
What do you dislike about the product?
None, Drata works well for our company's needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monitoring security compliance, documentation
Excellent product supported by a very professional team
What do you like best about the product?
The automated monitoring is excellent, and the number of connectors keeps growing. We had minimum issues linking Drata to our AWS and Azure resources. We have also been able to link with other types of products, like our HR management system and source control repositories.
In addition to the platform's technical capabilities, I think the best feature is that Drata honestly cares for its customers. We had a Drata staff member dedicated to our account who has been super patient and helpful during the onboarding. Then, their Live support is very quick. Their onboarding and customer support are some of the best I have come across in the software industry.

What do you dislike about the product?
I wouldn't say "dislike", but its Policy Centre needs some improvements to make it more efficient and flexible. But it does what it is meant to do.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We work in the health sector, and therefore we need to be compliant with HIPAA and GDPR in the markets we operate. In addition, our security needs to be tight, so the platform is helping us to be ready for SOC2 and ISO27001 certifications.

- Craig Macaraeg was our CSM who was a great help over the last 12 months helping us integrate Drata and get upto 100% compliance. He was very helpful, emphatetic and a pleasure to work with

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Fast to onboard and integrate for company wide compliance needs
What do you like best about the product?
Range of tools and services that can be integrated from day 1 help the integration and initial compliance control checks show a quick return on investment.
The platform is quite intuitive compared to others in the market and with the in-console support with quick human response was one of the main plus points.

What do you dislike about the product?
While the platform does bring a lot of benefits, the cost for each additional compliance framework is still fairly high.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In the finance/payments space, there are various regulatory and compliance requirements to address. Consolidating those in to a tool that can map the frameworks together, reducing time in audits and ensuring that we maintain a compliant state across disparate teams is a game changer.
In addition, the additional possibility to add and map requirements from customers and partners to ensure we maintain contractual promises helps to alert us to any degradation in our service quality and alignment with responsibilities.

Great product for managing compliance
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, great customer service. I like that I can see when items are due in a dashboard so I can get to work on them before they expire.
What do you dislike about the product?
The support articles don't always work (aren't accessible) and some areas could be more customizable
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helped us in several ways:
- when we started the program it acted as a guide into what we needed to do
- now it's useful for centralizing our compliance efforts and for easily keeping track of when documents or tasks should be reviewed and updated. This is very useful because Drata does it automatically without the need for us to setup calendars and reminders.

SOC 2 Audit like Butter!
What do you like best about the product?
The audit portal was extremely helpful in preparing for the SOC2 audit. Prepping for an audit can be very timeconsuming because of the large number of artificats you have to collect and log into the auditor's portal. Drata made this process much easier because much of the evidence is collected, curated (sorted and categorized) and presented to the auditor directly. For many of the items in the audit portal I simply responded "See Drata Portal" and didn't have to collect evidence on my own. Sometimes there are excpetions to the controls (eg., service accounts that aren't assigned mfa,...). I can explain these excpetions in a succinct way on Drata and the exceptions/explanations make it into the audit portal. I don't have to re-explain why things are to the auditors! Saves time during the audit.
What do you dislike about the product?
This isn't an issue with Drata so much. I found that auditors tend to accept the findings in Drata without asking too many questions. They sometimes should still dig into an item to make sure what I said in Drata is actually true.

Preparation for audits, automated risk assessment, vendor management, continuous monitoring.
