Excellent value
What do you like best about the product?
This software is so easy to use. It's saved us so much money designing our own website, and it didn't take long. Updating is simple too.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes glitchy. Alignment can be tricky and the finished product never looks quite right when viewed from an iPad.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We don't need to hire a professional designer to have a professional looking website.
From professional to newbie
What do you like best about the product?
The software is very easy to use if you have a design eye. Easily edit photos, fonts, text blocks and import social media, reviews and forms. There simply cannot be a better way to fully integrate everything you need as this service. I can also personally recommend the bookings feature. There is a small additional cost but I can say that appointment requests coming straight to my inbox is great because I don't miss an opportunity for a customer to act on the moment instead of waiting for business hours. Also, it automatically optimisms for mobile and tablet and has a SEO program that has gotten our keywords to the top 20 results in Google.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, I am not sure there is anything not to like about Wix. It does take some practice to get designs to balance and the text headings can become a bit clumsy but once you understand how to end it makes a consistent clean look throughout your site.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I get immediate bookings through my site versus waiting for normal business hours. Also my customers get a wealth of information about us, our services, pricing, location, parking and hours.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're thinking about hiring someone to build a website, strongly consider this option first. It is not to hard to use, beautiful and professional and you can make changes and updates without having to pay someone. Do a trial run and see what you think, you might just save yourself thousands.

Sometimes the work all deletes when more than one user if working on the project - deletes it entirely.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure that you are only working on one computer at a time. It will not live update for the other users and the last one to log out will have all of their information saved, even if it is the blank template.

Great for Small Businesses
What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy it is to set up a beautiful website on Wix. It gives me a place to show my portfolio to potential customers and professional collaborators. I am able to update and change my website whenever I need to quickly and easily. I also love the mobile platform options!

There is very little that I dislike about Wix- sometimes I wish for more background options that would better suit my personal brand, but that's about it.

It helps me to get my portfolio out quickly and easily, which in turn brings me more work.

I would recommend Wix to anyone looking to promote their small business without spending a lot of money on a website.
Easy to build, but has some quirks.
What do you like best about the product?
I love the "drag and drop" design feature when building the site. I like the ease with which I can create and position a text box, a gallery, or any other item, both for desktop and mobile.
What do you dislike about the product?
The blog has given me a number of problems. Unfortunately, being a digital marketing agency, we need our own blogs to showcase what we can do for other businesses; and because of glitches, our blog can't always be up to the standard we would want to provide for others. Glitches like lines breaking whenever text is formatted differently (bold, italic, etc.), not only make it time-consuming to create a blog, but also make it appear less professional to our viewers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I appreciate the Wix analytics on the blog, though I wish the site were more compatible with Google in-page analytics for the whole site. Our business has benefited from the Wix SEO Wizard, and from the simple fact that Wix sites look beautiful and professional.

Wix is best for companies or individuals looking for a beautiful site that is easy to use, especially if you are showcasing images, photographs, or video as part of a portfolio.
Wix Is Not As User-Friendly As It Appears
What do you like best about the product?
I liked the templates Wix had available.
What do you dislike about the product?
When creating a website on Wix, I found that it's editing features were not as user-friendly as Weebly. The drag and drop feature, for example, could be much more streamlined.

I have created simple websites using Wix.

While Wix has made updates to make its platform more user-friendly, I still prefer using Weeby for creating simple, low-cost websites.
Easy but Unprofessional
What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to use. It has two different ways to access the back door of the website. There's the more in-depth site that lets you edit small details like text color and then there is a simple side that lets you quickly update content and images.
What do you dislike about the product?
limited platforms, out of date style, easy to make mistakes with some of the editing tools, poor search engine results

Our website is on a premium Wix platform.

If you are looking to build a site for fun, it's a decent option. I have seen better. It is not good for professional use.

That anyone can use it. It's very practical and you are able to pick from a few layouts, which is nice when you're not a designer.
What do you dislike about the product?
Messy backend, sometimes slow. Can be frustrating trying to resize photos and add in copy. You can only go so far with wix.

Using to create a website for a small business. Benefits include that you can quickly set up a site.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure to take time to pick the right layout - if not, it's a bit of a pain to go back and try to pick a new layout and switch over.
