Helpful for first-time SOC 2 compliance
What do you like best about the product?
Thoropass was the best value we could find for the services we needed. It was also easy to assign different tasks to different team members, and I love that there are annual training courses that have built in completion tracking.
What do you dislike about the product?
My biggest criticism is the lack of followup from the team at Thoropass. We signed a contract for certain services to be completed, then after beginning the process and realizing how much time it would really take, it got shoved down our priorty list. This is completely our fault, but it would have been so helpful to have team members from Thoropass reach out and remind us that we need to complete this before the contract runs out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Thoropass helped us reach SOC 2 compliance for the first time. We wouldn't have known where to start had we tried this on our own, and they were a better value than our local CPA firm.

Great Product and Team to work with for SOC2 compliance
What do you like best about the product?
Thanks to Thoropass, achieving SOC2 and HIPAA compliance is no longer a daunting task. Thoropass account/compliance team are very helpful and have streamlined the process very well. Integrations to BitBucket/AWS/Jira are time saving utilities when collecting evidences during the audit period. Continue to innovate and delight your customers.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not a lot to dislike but there are always opportunities to make the process seamless by adding more integrations that map directly to the evidences that are required during the audit. I have seen a few glitches and/or useability issues with the new UI but I am sure the team is working on correcting them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Thoropass for SOC2 and HIPAA compliance which is required for any Fintech startup. Their platform and the team made it easy for a small company like ours.
Good partner for health tech audit compliance
What do you like best about the product?
Overall good product structure. Audit team is helpful, knowledgeable. Audit/compliance frameworks help to break work into manageable pieces, keep on track.
What do you dislike about the product?
Turnover on the customer-facing team and audit team. We've experienced turnover with our reps and with an auditor at a key point, but Thoropass recovered and doubled down on assisting us in completing our audit.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SOC 2, HIPAA, SOC 2 T2 - As a health tech start-up, completing these audits and certifications is key. Thoropass helps maximize our resources to complete this work.

Thoroughpass is helping ensure that we have the best process and documentation for completing our annual audits. They are extremely responsive and always knowledgable
Easy and streamlined to SOC2 compliance.
What do you like best about the product?
With no prior knowledge, thoropass laid out an easy to understand road map. Setting attinable goals with reasonable timetable made the process extremely easy with multiple team members.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a slight learning curve udnerstanding the layout of the platform. I would not necesarrily count it as a negative but once you do have an understanding on where to find things it certainly becomes easier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SOC2 compliance has been a large step in our company towards forming partnerships with national brands. Being able to prove our level of security opens the door for the company to grow ten-fold
Excellent product and support throughout
What do you like best about the product?
We used thoropass to get ourselves certified as soc2 type2 business and I can't recommend them enough. Entire thoropass team have been excellent in guiding and making sure we hit all the right areas during this journey. We achieved Soc2 Type2 without any problems because of our robust processes and policies in place. Thoropass also ensured that we were well prepared for the audit and have all the right evidences in place.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can't think of any downside per day, but with the SaaS tools in the compliance space, there's never enough automation. Would like to see everything automated with evidence collection and reporting. Integrations with more tools and smooth evidence extraction process would definitely make a huge difference.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Security and compliance are of absolute importance in any business, specially in a SaaS business. Thoropass product helps to not only get you that certification your business need but also helps you understand your own security and compliance posture in one single product. Having a 360 degree virw of your vendors, assets, policies, processes etc in one place is a big differentiator and enabler in any businesses compliance journey.
Made a painful, expensive experience pretty painless and cheap.
What do you like best about the product?
The price. They seemed to understand the issues of small companies having to get Soc-2 certifications that regularly costs high five figures to low six figures and brought it down considerably. Their platform definitely helped and their live consultants were welcoming of all the dumb questions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really. If I had any complaint is was maybe getting us from square ZERO to being able to understand the process. We had ZERO prior experience and took a few hours just to get us on the same page as them.

taking something we knew nothing about and making it more confrontable and simple. This allowed us to still concentrate on our business without turning the organization upside down to do this project or use their platform.
A great solution for small companies to achieve SOC2 compliance
What do you like best about the product?
As a small, busy startup, achieving SOC2 compliance was daunting but also necessary to operate with our target customers. Thoropass held our hands throughout the entire process and set us up for success when it came time for our Type 1 and Type 2 audits. As we gathered evidence, both the app interface and their customer success folks helped clarify any ambiguity in the process. They were always willing to take extra time to help us through our evidence collection process and felt like part of our team by the end. I also love their direct integrations with our software vendors to automatically audit different security controls.
What do you dislike about the product?
This is minor, but the app interface was somtimes cumbersome and required several clicks to navigate through the pages and find what we were looking for, so there's room for improvement in the user experience. Secondly, and more importantly, they led us through an initial evidence collection phase (which took a few months), and at the end we were under the impression we would immediately progress to the Type 1 audit. Once we achieved 100% completion, we were led into a new pre-audit "module" which required us to gather even more evidence, some of which felt quite redundant with the evidence we had collected in the initial phase.

Thoropass helped our small team acheive SOC2 compliance by providing us with policy and procedure templates and directing us on the type of evidence to collect in preparation for the audit.
Amazing Service and Easy to Use Platform
What do you like best about the product?
We walked into this process pretty blind. Our rep helped us from day 1 and made it really easy for us to get through it and understand!
What do you dislike about the product?
The first version of the platform was a little confusing and it was tough to switch to the new version but once we got it we saw how much easier it was!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have large companies that would not work with us unless we were Soc2. This is the problem we needed solved and Thoropass solved it!
High-touch, high-quality program support
What do you like best about the product?
The professionals at Thoropass are great. They walk with you through the whole process and automate / do for you whatever they can. There's no way for SOC 2 to be turnkey but they do their best to make it easy for you. There are many different phases so the high-touch experience was very helpful for our small company.
What do you dislike about the product?
We were surprised to find little differences between SOC 1 Type 2 and SOC 2 Type 2 processes and content. We assumed Thoropass was stronger with SOC 1 but it turns out they fit us really well on SOC 2. Overall, this is not a strong dislike, just a surprise.
There was some confusion at some phases what exactly we were supposed to do. This was during the last steps so it was a little more stressful. Perhaps a dress rehearsal or something like that could be worth the time.

Thoropass is helping us define and maintain compliance throughout our organization. They helped us complete Type 1 and Type 2 of SOC 1 and SOC 2 audits, and will help us keep those up to date.
