Easy setup and very helpful support
What do you like best about the product?
The setup via terraform was very easy and straightforward. We were up and running with a few commands.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI in the Lacework console is very comprehensive, though due to this it can at times be difficult to navigate. It would be nice if we could customise the dashboard configuration a bit more.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We wanted a way to proactively monitor our cloud environment, and Lacework gives us an elevated level of confidence compared to the array of tools we were previously using for this purpose.
Great Tool with Tons of Alerting and Preset Reporting
What do you like best about the product?
Its dynamic ability to alert on preset and customized conditions. The alerting is top notch and the built-in scans made it easy to configure and plug right in.
What do you dislike about the product?
It does take a little work to customize some of the alerting. A little more detailed documentation with real-world examples would solve this issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lacework allows us to stay compliant with industry best practices and standards including customizations on alerts that pertain to our industries.
Very rich system for different views and analysis.
What do you like best about the product?
The depth and every increasing capabilities
What do you dislike about the product?
Really don't have a big gripe to add on that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monitoring keeps us apprised of things entering the environment that need investigation. Good clear output that is quickly actionable.
We can see it all
What do you like best about the product?
Whatever unusual things happen on our production infrastructure, Laceworks points this out so we can check it out.
What do you dislike about the product?
Login-process is uncomfortable, guess because we have not setup SSO.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lacework helps us to protect our production data from external and internal threads by continuously looking for suspicious activities.
Helps cut through all the noise typical of monitoring systems.
What do you like best about the product?
* It cuts through the noise and helps me see what matters most, providing the information needed to assess risks and develop a mitigation plan easily. Information and links can be easily shared so others can see what I see.
* With a click, I can see if a resource is available online or is a well-protected back-end system.
* I can see if a program was used in normal daily duties or in a more malicious way.
* It simplifies understanding how my complex infrastructure is connected to determine what may be affected by an event or vulnerability.
* The UI is intuitive, and the time to implement is very low. The integration with our different services was very simple.
By simplifying and focusing on key issues, I can escalate them to the business and development teams in a palatable form that doesn't overwhelm them. Prioritization is built in, and I can clearly convey what items require immediate action versus those that can be worked into existing projects.
It saves me a lot of time and makes me more informed and prepared when presenting risk assessments and incident reports to executives. It helps me avoid missing a configuration on a cloud component or a forgotten resource. I can easily present a top-down view of potentially affected resources and the path information or a bad actor took during an event.

What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing so far. I still haven't gotten my Lacework t-shirt, but I'm sure they're working on that:)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I need to be able to see my environment and know what vulnerabilities matter and how they could affect the business.
Director of Client Technologies
What do you like best about the product?
How you can trace the issue all the way to the exectutable. it was 2 alerts that recived indicating that there were external attempts from servers to external IPs and upon checking the details of the alert and looking at the source and destination and traffic details; I was able to easily trace it to be legitimate attempts as one systems was trying to connect to O365 and the other to SpecOps.
What do you dislike about the product?
None at the moment. I am happy with the product so far and the support is also great. I trust the company as well as they are doing great job developing the product even more

Lacework helps in finding the security related alerts quick and in an easy way.
What do you like best about the product?
The way it runs the report for compliance checks and provides the suggestion for any security-related patch to be updated
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing that I could think of. All good. Good product all in all.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As i had mentioned before, it helps in diagnosing any security related alert such as new user logging from a location and details from the user such as location and the time that the user logged in.
Comprehensive Cloud Security Solution
What do you like best about the product?
Lacework is great at providing a security profile of our Cloud Environment and is essential in ensuring we have applied the necessary security requirements in our account for certain certifications.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface of lacework is not the most intuitive and could do with improvement also would be good to see some additional training on the product.
Cost could be a factor for smaller businesses

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping to ensure our cloud accounts meet the required security compliance for certification
Lacework has given us insight to things we didn't even know where going on
What do you like best about the product?
The polygraph approach that Lacework takes is fantastic. We where able to identify some trial installs that we didn't even know where out there and lock them down. I did an exhaustive look at splunk, and datadog's SIEM offerings. Lacework is cheaper, better and getting up and running was a breeze.
Also the UI/UX experience is very good once you get used to it it's easy to find out details on incidents that get reported and you are able to correlate the incident to all effected resources in a snap.
Lastly the support team for Lacework is far and away the best/most responsive team I've worked with for a product like this.

What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing is that there is a little bit of a learning curve to learn how to navigate their system. It's really not bad you just need to adjust your thinking some. Once you do it's pretty intuitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
we had nothing really in place that allowed us to easily tell that someone has penetrated our defenses and what they are up to.
Fact of the matter is not many products out there have that capability. Most will just tell you that you have a vulnerbility that needs addressed, your infra monitoring may alert you that a box's cpu is being hit hard or something like that.
Lacework's approach allows you find that needle in the haystack.

Just works
What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to use and provides lots of insights about your security posture as well as alerts out of the box.
What do you dislike about the product?
IAC scanner reports lots of false positives
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Security monitoring and alerting. This gives valuable insight into vulnerabilities and even gives suggestions on how to resolve in som instances.
