Robust security monitoring tool
What do you like best about the product?
Lacework both reliably detects potential threats and provides meaningful insights for investigating. When drilling down into an alert, there is ample detail to provide to engineers.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the level of detail that lacework provides is very helpful, sometimes the amount of information presented in the high-level, dashboard-type views can be overwhelming (depending on what you're looking for).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lacework is helping to quickly identify potential threats and raise them to the security team to review. The investigation/detail around alerts makes it easy to convey problems to the engineering teams for fixes.

None so far. Its has a pretty comprehensive security coverage.

it's offer a great dashboard to review the vulnerabilities
What do you dislike about the product?
it's easy to configure, the only con is that we have to pay for it while there are some free competitors, but of course, they're not complete as a paid tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Container and Cloud Security tool
Lacework, a great tool for automation.
What do you like best about the product?
The effectiveness and the impact it has on the report it creates for the users.
What do you dislike about the product?
Accessing it from a local machine is a little complicated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's helping people automate their cloud monitoring process and also its reporting is really effective.
Super gui, super easy to learn. Also improving all the time
What do you like best about the product?
I didn´t need to do a lot of learning for start using lacework. Most menus are intuitive enough so I was able to perform tasks, like look for python libraries with vulnerabilities by looking using the hash file search. Also a few time we have contacted lacework for extra help and they always were super-responsive.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, for example on some specific logins on AWs against another service using AWS user pools the events have not a lot of info, but I track those down to Cloudtrail and basically aws does not log more info, so I believe there is no much room for improvement there.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Find vulnerabilities and issues easily around all our workloads. Dectec suspicious events so we can further investigate. It was specially helpful with the openssl vulnerability, even checking the container images!
Fully automated vulnerabilities detection and prevention with Lacework
What do you like best about the product?
With Lacework, we can obtain 100% fully automated process in security scanning and vulnerabilities detection/prevention with the tool. Once deployed, Lacework takes over the whole process that had been manually done in the past with other tools and will scan all uploaded docker images.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have a automated process of deploying builds using our CI/CD pipeline to VMs. Usually these VMs are short lived as they are created on demand by build systems and destroyed after used. We was trying to use Lacework agents to scan the VMs but the agent requires to be installed inside the host and takes quite a few hours to scan. This use case is suitable for static hosts but not with on-demand deployments of test VMs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Detect vulnerabilities and provide suggestion/solutions to fix security issues.
Lacework Oh How Do I Love Thee!
What do you like best about the product?
Lacework has been my goto for any Cloud Security needs! It integrates well with all the cloud hosting companies and is easy to navigate.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing at all, Lacework has been just hands down solid.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lacework has solved the need to jump to cloud to cloud for review for any security/compliance issues.
Great automated cloud security platform
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, friendly and meaningful web interfaces, excellent reporting system helping us to monitor and stay compliant. The team is fabulous and always available to help.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are many compliance reports to choose from, and the initial setup can be complex for the uninitiated. It's also sometimes hard to keep track of all the alerts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Help a lot by automating the compliance checks of our different cloud subscriptions. The IT team is notified if someone makes a change that isn't up to the best practices.
Lacework -Securing code to cloud using agile methodology

into the cloud using cloud-native's best practice approach for secure deployments.
into the cloud using cloud-native's best practice approach for secure deployments.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not much to dislike but pricing for a small-businesses is little too much and should be re-considered in such a way that a free-trial or some credits should be provided.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our DevOps ecosystem is completed using Lacework. We have secure our pods running GKE containers using this tool which is a great boon for a cloud consultant like me who needs to store
customers data in a secured manner. It also helps with security audit.

Good product at a high price
What do you like best about the product?
Lacework is pretty easy to use once set up; however, some integrations can be complex. The team is easy to work with for the most part. Competitors can generally cover part of the Lacework functionality but would typically need more than one vendor/system to replace all of what Lacework has to offer.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost is relatively high compared to comparable products. Some employees do not take feedback well. It would be helpful to have more accurate planning capabilities for the resources needed to ensure pricing was proper for actual needs. Regarding employees, regular check-ins from account managers could help catch issues sooner and prevent difficulties down the road.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vulnerability scanning and compliance management. Benefits have been mediocre and, while functional, didn't always equal the expense. It has filled a performance gap but, again, one that other systems could also fill.
