What do you like best about the product?
OutSystems has dramatically decreased the time it takes me to develop both web and mobile applications.
What do you dislike about the product?
SilkUI is useful, but it still has a ways to go as far as ADA/WCAG accessibility compliance is concerned. I would also rather it be a responsive rather than adaptive cross-platform experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
OutSystems has complemented our adoption of Agile development and allowed us to release applications in weeks rather than months.

The list of supporting partners continues to grow. Currently the list is a smaller due to footprint in the US.

OutSystems is an excellent low code, rapid application development framework.

I appreciate OutSystems code generation approach to building highly secure, scalable enterprise applications that can scale to meet the needs of any user base.
What do you dislike about the product?
No dislikes. Compelling features are being added in each new release of the product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reduced the time and cost to develop applications by 4X. Teams of 2 people can build what used to take a team of 8 people.

There is still this mentality from folks that truly don't understand load code. They think it's a toy or prototyping tool and are unwilling to entertain the idea of codename generated by a platform.

OutSystems has never been push but rather very patient in our evaluation and deployment of the platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
Even though it is a low code platform once you grasp what it can do it can be a little overwhelming.

The variety of different plugins and functionality also the fast and intuitive development platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not found anything I dislike about this application yet but I am not a big fan fo gui builders. I like building application from the ground up more.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are replacing a buggy portal that connects to a legacy systems database. Our other legacy software vendor was slow to make changes and very limited on the functionality. We have so far replaced one user portal and are set to replace more portals with OutSystems portals.

Fast, high quality development, very reliable platform.

I miss the version control capabilities of traditional development.

We provide a SaaS Time and Billing application to customers worldwide. Have been able to deliver alot more functionality much quicker.

Would recommend using the .net version.
Powerful, Extensible, Extremely Fast!
What do you like best about the product?
OutSystems has built a product that immediately garners disbelief. As a developer and architect I generally do not trust or use visual coding solutions. I feel that many of my clients quickly hit limitations when I choose to implement low code solutions. OutSystems is the exception. Over the course of a few years I have yet to hit any limitation and I have been able to deliver all of the requirements, both functional and non-functional, that my customers have given me.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only dislike I have is that OutSystems can be very confusing to use when you first get started. They have overcome this issue by providing many hours of constantly updated training sessions on their website. Their training team listens to feedback and provides new examples that are very easy to refer to throughout the course of a project.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dynamic UX requirements with "immediate" due dates. Many of my customers change their minds on the layout and theme of their UX multiple times throughout the course of a project. OutSystems gives me the flexibility to separate my front end and back end seamlessly so I can provide change controls that would normally be refused late in the development process.
