What do you like best about the product?
OutSystems has proven to be a game-changer for our development workflow, dramatically accelerating and simplifying DevOps processes across the board. What do you dislike about the product?
One of the key drawbacks I’ve experienced with OutSystems is its heavy reliance on a stable internet connection. While the platform excels in streamlining development and deployment, its cloud-centric architecture means that even minor connectivity issues can disrupt productivity. This dependency can be particularly frustrating in environments with inconsistent network access or when working remotely from areas with limited bandwidth. It creates a bottleneck for developers who need offline flexibility or uninterrupted access to their tools. For teams that value autonomy and resilience in their workflows, this constant tethering to the internet can feel limiting and counterproductive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
OutSystems is solving a critical challenge that many enterprises face: the slow and often fragmented process of translating user requirements into functional applications. By leveraging its low-code environment, OutSystems enables teams across my organization to rapidly capture, iterate, and implement user needs with remarkable agility. The platform’s collaborative tools and visual development interface streamline communication between business and IT, reducing bottlenecks and accelerating delivery timelines. What do you like best about the product?
The speed I can develop an app from start to finish, inclusing back-end and Front-end.
What do you dislike about the product?
Even though you are allowed to use custom code (JavaScript, CSS, etc), the code editor could use a bit of love. It feels too raw. When using certain functions, such as $actions.ActionName for example, if you use the autocomplete function, it will write $actions.$actions.ActionName, resulting in regular errors, ehich prevent you from publishing your app

The demand of delivering a robust app/solution in the quickest possible way.

Outsystems help us to develop applications very quickly, saving a lot of hours from our dev team.

They does not provide us a tool to create reports.

We need to respond very fast our clients requests, so, with Outsystems we are able to create solution in time to attend them.

Licensing fees can be high, making it less attractive for smaller companies.

The ease of use , simple integrations, 24 active support and the learning experience by far the most friendly way to learn code

Mostly the price. It's a premium product so it comes with this downside but its by far the best option on the market.

Everything about this platform, from coding and database management to architecture and delivery, feels far more efficient compared to traditional development methods. Even deploying applications is simpler, as there is no need for GitHub, making the process much easier to handle.

OutSystems could address several key challenges currently faced by MDS. Additionally, the platform’s built-in governance and monitoring tools can improve application lifecycle management and ensure compliance with internal and external standards. the sales department does not negotiate properly with customers.

Providing access to ODC along with unlimited support for O11 has been very helpful.

What do you like best about the product?
Outsystems is very intuitive to use and allows really fast application development. It also does a lot of things for you automatically, like error logging, reporting, etc which really eases on the developing side. Implementation is very easy too, as all widgets that are readily available, are easy to use and allows fast development.
Outsystems also makes integration of other systems, let's say through apis easy, which is a huge plus.

What do you dislike about the product?
More in the managing side, as previously we were told that we can start doing unlimited application objects, easing our development, which was then changed years later, causing significant increase in cost for many clients. Can we trust something similar wouldn't happen again?
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Outsystems makes things easy and fast to make, which allows concept to come from paper to an actual application in just weeks depending on the size of the project. You can do really fast demos and readily available tools are very useful.
We used to be happy users, hopefully a new strategy with ODC and 11 integrated makes us happy again.

Fast development with low code. Many knowledge in Portugal, so our oddice in Coimbra is a great success.
What do you dislike about the product?
Low code is not citizen development. Required still very solid developers. Test automation is also difficult with changing ID's for components.

We have business problems which we can fix with an app based on the data of our ERP system
